I became aware of my surroundings slowly. But when the memories of last night started to come back through my mind, I tried to act like I wasn’t awake yet. I wanted to feel out where I had been taken, before I just announced to the world that I was awake.

I kept my eyes shut and just listened, trying to keep my breath as calm and slow as it had been. I wasn’t sure if there were Vampires here, and they would hear my heart beating faster if I started to panic.

It felt like I was lying in a bed of some sort. I could feel covers over my torso and I was at a comfortable temperature. So that was a good thing, right?

I noted the smell of something cooking. I had no idea what it was. Something I had never smelt before, but it smelled like It would be good if I were to eat it.

My stomach grumbled just then and gave away my position. I tried not to panic but I couldn’t help it. My heart rate spiked and a soft voice infiltrated my ears.
