Chapter 4. The Most Wanted Prey

In an hour, Gabriel left to see Michael Alexander in his company. Michael arrived at Xander Enterprise to meet the CEO, Ethan Stevenson.

“Please, have a seat. Do you care for a drink?” Ethan showed humility and hospitality to Michael. Meanwhile, Michael was on the contrary. Once his daughter, Eva, got married to Gabriel, he would have a part in ruling the company.

“Thank you; you can give me the best champagne you have, Mr. CEO.” Michael's response stunned Ethan for a second. Though he raised a smirk and then a nod.

“Sure. Our president’s guests must be treated exclusively. That’s an order.” Ethan raised his hand to his secretary, who was ready to serve the drink. Michael kept bragging about his position to Ethan while the secretary poured the champagne.

“You must be so happy to be a CEO, right, Mr. Stevenson? I think it’s not going to stay for long. As soon as my daughter marries your president, the chair will be mine.” Ethan smirked without nodding. He raised the glass and stated,

“Let’s wait for the salute until my president comes to make a decision.”

“He will come? I thought he was busy." Ethan cut the words to change the subject.

“How about we get into the business then, Mr. Alexander? I have prepared the agreement, and soon I can do the transfer. You’ll be rich.” Michael laughed arrogantly and nodded happily. They sat across from each other at a gracious working table to learn about the agreement. Michael was almost signing the fund agreement between his company and Gabriel’s when suddenly the door opened.

“Wait!” Gabriel’s loud noise echoed inside the luxurious meeting room. Gabriel walked into the meeting room and stalled it. Cheyne followed him and then walked past him to grab Michael’s shoulder. Ethan was standing and half-bowed to his Alpha when Michael almost put his signature on the payment agreement. Michael has no curiosity at all. He even greeted Gabriel like a close acquaintance.

“Mr. Xander, it’s really nice to see you today. How are you?” Michael grinned happily as he shook Gabriel's hand. Gabriel stared coldly at Michael without giving out his hand to shake.

“Where’s your daughter?” Gabriel hissed annoyingly. Michael pulled back his hand, then frowned.

“I brought her to your room yesterday. Don't you remember? I am really sure that you have spent the night together, right?” Gabriel immediately choked Michael’s throat with one of his hands. Michael was shocked and held Gabriel’s wrist until he let go.

"What exactly are you doing, Mr. Xander?" Michael tried to utter some words from his choked throat while Cheyne and Ethan were standing and watching.

“Do you think that you can fool me, Mr. Alexander? I thought you listened to my command. Apparently not!” Gabriel growled, then threw Michael with a bit of power, but his body fled through the floor like a feather. Michael’s back hit a magnificent glass wall with so much pain, from the throat to the whole body.

“Ugh. I’m really sorry, Mr. Xander. I don’t know what you mean,” replied Michael, groaning in pain. Gabriel walked to him, then bowed a bit to grab his suit to pull his body up. Both of Michael’s legs were swaying in the air because he did not stand.

“Aaah, no, please! Don’t hurt me! Please let me go, Mr. Xander!”

“She’s leaving without my consent; now where is she?” Gabriel still growled.

“I don’t know. She’s not coming home this morning. Ah, please don’t hurt me! Don’t hurt me!” Michael begged for his life while Gabriel was so angry.

“Ask her to come back, or I will crush all your bones!” Gabriel dropped Michael to the hard floor. Michael groaned in pain throughout his body, yet he had no time to breathe. Ethan came to drag him to sit and made a call. With shaking hands, Michael called Eva, but her phone was disconnected. Michael called some of his men to look for Eva, but there seemed to be no result.

“I am sorry, Mr. Xander. But I can’t find my daughter yet. I don’t know where she is!” Gabriel seized his phone and then read Eva’s phone number.

“Eva? Her name is Eva?” Gabriel scrutinized his forehead when he found out her name. Michael nodded as if he were innocent.

“Isn't she your first daughter named Miranda?” Michael was stunned for a second, then nodded.

“Eva is my second daughter.”

“You fooled me twice, eh, Alexander?" Gabriel pointed his finger at Michael’s face infuriatingly. Michael promised him the first daughter, yet the second one came. Michael got so pale and scared. Now that his life was in danger.

“No, I mean. She is my daughter. It’s just that my first daughter is marrying another man, so,” Michael stopped his reason to talk. Gabriel hardened his jaw with the sharp gaze of his golden eyes. Moreover, he wanted to chop Michael’s head instead.

“Find Eva now!”

Nevertheless, after an amount of time, Michael could not find Eva anywhere. She was missing. And mercilessly Gabriel did not spare more time. On the table, where both parties should have signed it, their business agreement is still unsigned.

However, Michael lay on the floor, unconscious and badly beaten. Ethan beat Michael to get some useless information. Gabriel stood in front of giant walls of glass, watching the whole of Los Angeles from his skyscraper. He tried to use his hawk eyes to locate Eva, but it was useless. The city was too big.

“Dammit!” he cursed slightly. The Gamma came not so long after. They rammed the whole town, but they still could not find Eva.

“Alpha, we cannot find the Luna. But we keep searching for her.” One of the Gammas gave his report to Gabriel. Gabriel hardened his jaws, then clenched his fist. He turned to see his Gamma and glanced for a second at his Beta, Cheyne. After overstepping Michael’s body, Gabriel made a decision.

“Tell the clan that my Luna is now the most wanted prey of mine. Whoever locates her, I will give him or her 100 million dollars. And if someone tried to take advantage of this, it would cost their heads as well as their families. It goes to all humans and wolves!” Gabriel stated his order.
