Chapter 10. Another Threat

Three years after Eva gave birth to her first son, she moved to a flat on the outskirts of Miami. Eva and Emilia have collected their money to rent the house for almost two years now. The baby has grown so well, yet it is different. In two years, Eva’s son grew taller than other toddlers, and he was able to speak quite clearly before his first birthday. Since one year old, Eva has put her son, Cody, in preschool and daycare because she has to work and study. As usual, she came to pick him up.

“Mommy!” Cody squeaked happily when he saw his mommy arrive to pick him up. He put both hands in the air so Eva could hold him and bring him closer. Eva would pour so many kisses and tickle the young, handsome boy. Cody loved it and giggled so much, then rounded his hands onto her shoulders.
