Chapter 55

When Levi initially broached the subject of having kids, my response was a resounding "no, hell no." However, it was phrased more delicately so as to save his feelings.

When I suggested that we wait until I was eighteen, Levi reluctantly agreed. But even though I was taking the pill, my pregnancy threw that whole strategy into a loop. I suppose Levi simply had super sperm, or perhaps he was just incredibly motivated. Even though I didn't want a baby right away, I must admit that I was little anticipatory. Although not as giddy as Levi was, it was still understandable.

Levi caressed my stomach and then grabbed my hand, saying, "So I've been thinking about this, and this," pointing to my engagement ring.

I retaliated, "I'm not being a fat bride," at him.

Laughing, he said, "Pregnant, not fat." His breath tickled my neck as his thumb traced arcs over my stomach.

I complained, "Yet, I don't want to be a fat or a pregnant bride." Levi gave me a sidelong glance while rolling his eyes, but h
