Chapter 52

I stroked my irritated temples. I yelled, "Shut it the lot of you," loud enough for everyone to hear. When I yelled at people, they would usually ignore me, but for some reason—possibly my tone or my angry eyes—they all genuinely stopped talking. After a brief period of silence during which everyone in the room focused on me, Rafa raised another grievance, and the shouting and fighting resumed.

I whispered "Dios Mio" while shaking my head at the male guests. The lot of them are idiots.

All of the Yellowstone Wolves had their chips removed and were replaced with real Wolves, with the exception of two who refused to go. Rafa immediately learned, however, that, contrary to what his family had told him, his mother was not one of the She-Wolves taken. He didn't accept them, though.

Even though the other Yellowstone Wolves informed him that she had never been there, his plan was to venture further into the park to locate her. Rafa, however, being an obstinate idiot, attempted to leave.
