(Willow's POV)

When I opened my eyes, I found myself in my car in the driveway of my new house.

Was that a dream? What happened? How did I get here and who were those mysterious men?

And how did they save her life?

"Willow!" I heard an aggressive knock on the window and almost jumped. She had the most terrific look on her face and I felt bad.

"Hey mum" I lazily said as I got down from the car.

"Hey mum? Is that all you got? Get in! Now!" She ordered but I hugged her instead.

I don't want to ever feel like I was never going to see her again.

"I'm sorry mum" I cried and she patted my hair. That was enough to tell me she wasn't mad anymore.

I decided not to tell her about the horrific experience I had with the wolves because it'll only make her worried.

"Like I said, they are an interesting set of people. Stella informed the police and formed a search team. She was literally crying" my mum laughed.

"That's just dramatic" I laughed with her.

"Not when my only child is missing. They were worried" she said sadly.

"That's just awesome. I'm alive and fine" I gulped the mango juice she earlier served me with wafers.

"Next time, tell me where you're going so that I won't be worried" she smoothed my blond hair.

"I will mum. Besides, I don't want the whole suburb searching for me because I stepped out to get tampons" I rolled my eyes. "Do we have steak or bacon? I want meat" I don't know where the sudden craving came from.

"We have some in the fridge" she said "and don't forget to unpack" she added placing a newspaper in front of me.

"Alright mum, I'll check it out" I said and helped myself with a new plate of microwaved bacon and steak.

I really don't want any problems between my mother and I so I went job hunting. I studied marketing but at this point, I might just take any available offer as long as it has a good payroll.

After several attempts, I got hungry and spotted a supermarket. I've been craving meat for the past two days and my mom noticed it. All I want now is meat and to think I almost went vegan last month.

Oh well, I can't deny myself the pleasure as I quickly went in to purchase groceries which were mostly meat of course.

I stood behind a man who was already paying for his items which consisted of several bottles of the same product. He looked oddly familiar. I didn't recognize him until he suddenly turned around locking eyes with me. He studied me for a while and then turned away from me.

He was the doctor at the hospital!

He has the answers to my questions and I'm going to get it today. I quickly paid and ran after him.

"Hey! Hey! Stop!" I said chasing him to a parked SUV.

"What do you want?" He dropped his grocery bag in the front seat and turned to me.

He had green eyes and grayish hair. He looked like he just came out of one of those expensive magazines with simple jeans and a white shirt unbuttoned halfway.

"I just want to talk" I said to him. I won't allow him to just walk away even if he says no because I don't know where or how to find him again.

"Get in" he simply said.

"I came with my car" I slightly pointed.

"Then go with your car" he ended the car.

"Wait, I'll come with you" I entered the front seat and called my mum. I don't want her crying over me again.

"Hey mum, I have something important to take care of so I'll be late. No, don't wait up… I'll be fine, don't worry. My car is at the supermarket. Okay thank you" I ended the call.

"That was my mum" I turned to him but he gave me a noncommittal grunt. Why is he so uptight?

He took me to a creek in minutes and we stood in front of a river.

"So, what do you want to talk about?" He immediately asked.

"Firstly, thank you for saving my life. Secondly, where do you live? And where exactly is that hospital located? I tried to locate it but none of the hospitals around here confirmed I was admitted" I said.

"Why are you still wearing that necklace?" He asked disregarding my question and what the hell is his business with my necklace?

"I made a promise not to remove it" I stated with a smile remembering the memories I had with my dad.

"You didn't ask Terra about the necklace?" He asked again.

"Okay, what is with you and my necklace? It was a gift from someone special" I answered. Is there any history behind the neck piece?

"And did you know my mother's name?" I almost gasped.

"I guess she still hasn't told you?" He sighed and moved closer to the water. "Your father was Supreme Genzzi, alpha of the Dark Moon who married a human, Terra" he narrated.

"Married a 'human'? Dark Moon? Alpha?" I didn't understand what he was saying. "You mean like the alpha of a wolf pack? Like in the movies?" I almost laughed but he had a serious face which told me laughing isn't the best option right now.

"Yes, just like in the movies" he replied. He can't be serious. I moved closer to him.

"Like werewolves?" I whispered. I surely am not the only one going crazy.

"Yes, exactly that" he walked back into the grass. "That necklace belonged to Supreme Genzzi before he died" he pointed.

"How did you know that I'm his child?" I had to be sure even though I don't believe a word.

"When I first saw your driver's license and his car. Then I tracked down your house and saw Terra sadly punching her phone on Supreme Genzzi's driveway. Plus, you look like him" he shrugged. "Have you ever taken the necklace off?" He asked.

"No" I shook my head "Apart from when I woke up in the hospital without it"

"Well, don't. I know you don't trust or believe me. Ask Terra about it first and when you're ready, meet me at this same spot.

"How will you know if I decide to come back?"

"I'll know" he strolled away.

I walked to my house, yes, walked. He abandoned me in the creek and I had to find my way back home.

"Willow!" I heard someone shout my name. It was Iris.

"Hey" I waved. I don't like clingy people but I like Iris. Not because she helped me unpack or brought the gists to me but we surprisingly formed a bond in just two days.

"I came by earlier but you weren't around. I just got back from work. Were you lucky today?" She asked. I could see how hopeful she was for me. Awn.

"Yes, come in and I'll tell you all about it!" I excitedly said. "Mum, I'm home!" I shouted to her hearing and took Iris to my room.

After exchanging gists and telling them the good news of my job, I sat my mum down for questioning.

"Mum, I want you to be totally honest with me" I said to her standing ajar. I needed answers and she has them.

"Okay? What do you want to know?" She casually said. Look at her acting all innocent.

"Firstly, why did I make a promise to dad never to take off this necklace?" I pointed at my neck. She shifted in her seat uncomfortably.

"Um. Well, it was a gift and he wanted you to always have a piece of him" she lied.

"Okay, I heard a story. A werewolf married a human, Terra. He was known as Supreme Genzzi. Now I want to believe those names don't have anything to do with my parents?" I asked again.

How can she lie to me now that she obviously knows everything?

"What kind of a movie is that?" She smiled.

"This house belongs to my father! Why are you lying to me!?" I shouted. I was done with her lies. She is still lying to my face.

"I'm not lying! I don't know what you're talking about"

"Okay so you won't mind if I take the necklace off?" I say in front of her.

"Don't!"

"Why? I want to hear the truth from you mum! I don't want to believe a complete stranger. You are my mother and I deserve the truth" I hit the table.

"Everything they told you is true. It sounds unreal but it's the truth. This is the house we lived in when we got married. You were very young so you probably don't remember" she started. "Your father was a werewolf. You inherited it but he wanted you to have a normal life growing up with me so he gave you the necklace to tame your wolf" she stopped.

"And you're telling me all these now? Why do you have to complicate my life?" I angrily said. She should have told me the truth a long time ago.

"Your life became complicated the moment I fell in love with your father. But honey, you don't belong with those will animals. Your life is here with me" she reached out to me but I pushed her away standing to my feet.

"How can you say that mum? Is that what you think about dad? Wild animals? You don't have the right to decide for me. That is my identity, that is who I am and I'm not sorry if you consider us wild animals" I was losing my mind.

"Sweetheart, that's not what I meant! Those people are evil! They killed your father! Stay away from them if you want to live!" She warned me.

"The only person I should stay away from is you! He told me the truth I never knew about myself! How can a stranger know so much about me? He knows things I don't even know and you expect me to trust you?" I asked.

"He? Who's that?" She suddenly asked.

"I don't know his name! He has green eyes and gray hair" I replied and I saw the look of recognition on her face.

"Ralph. He was your father's best friend" she sadly said "They could have saved Genzzi, but they're a set of selfish dogs" she spat.

"Dad's friend? He looks too young to be his friend" I calmed down.

"Really!? It must be Jordan then, his son" she sighed. "Oh God! I almost forgot that Ralph is dead. Willow, you need to listen to me, the world out there isn't for you! You belong here"

"I'll be the one to decide what I want to do with my life!" I picked my keys and slammed the front door.

I couldn't believe my mum lied to me and she's trying to keep me away from my identity.

I found myself at Iris' house and spent the next few days sobbing on her shoulders. Of course I didn't tell her the whole truth but am I ready to face mister green eyes and accept.
