He looked out the French windows with a pen clicking in between his fingers.

His current investigation failed and he is stuck.

Regardless of how hard he tries, it always leads to a dead end.

"Jordan" A man with brown eyes walked in.

"What's new?" Jordan swirled his chair to face his beta and friend.

"We have nothing" The man replied with a slight bow of his head.

"And Willow?"

"She is at the river, as usual"

"You left her alone? You know she should never be alone" Jordan stood up.

He knew he couldn't trust Willow to be on her own. It's either she seeks for trouble or trouble seems to find her so he had to keep a close eye on her.

"Don't you think you should bring her here? She is a werewolf" Japh said.

"She doesn't belong here. Not every werewolf stays with its pack. Do you know how many wolves choose humanity over their wolf?"

"But she wants to be here, that's the difference!" Japh exclaimed.

"I know what's best for her because she doesn't know it," Jordan replied.
