CHAPTER 11

Having to work as a writing editor is the most interesting thing to ever happen to me. I never thought I’d have this happiest part of my life. 

My so-called marriage was going well; no drama, no problems whatsoever and I was killing at work it couldn’t be any better. 

“I’ll see you after work” I said to Felix 

“Wait. A friend of mine is having a party tonight and we’ll be going over for it” he said with a warm tone 

“We’ll be going shopping so I’ll come get you later on. I suggest the driver takes you to work today to make things less stressful” he said 

“Oh, I didn’t know that I have to work late today so I don’t think I’ll be able to attend” I said 

“What do you mean by that?” He asked with a bossy expression 

“I have to work late because I have some work to get done before the weekend starts and that’s tonight” I said with confidence 

“I’m not asking you, I’m telling you. I’ll come pick you up and we get whatever we have to get and we go for the party whatever work you have to do should be done by 3pm. That’s it” he said walking to the door and outside the mansion

I felt disgusted. Not after I thought my life was going the right way he comes with his mean words and tone again. 

“Hey are you okay” I heard a warm voice from behind. Turing to see Jasper I loosened up 

“Hi. I didn’t know you were around” I said trying to hide my disgust feeling 

“Yeah I just came to talk about something with ‘Mr Grumpy’ before we head out to work” he said jokingly 

His statement brought a tender laugh to my face and I couldn’t help but laugh. “He is really ‘Mr Grumpy’ I don’t understand why he has to be though” I said back 

“You know he’s always been like that since he was a kid, a very uptight boy and he’s grown to be worse from the looks of things” he said 

“But are you okay though?” He asked with concern in his voice 

“You don’t seem happy like you were coming down the stairs earlier” he added 

“Hmm…. I don’t really wanna talk about it. I’m fine” I said 

“You can talk to me. You know you might feel better sa…..” he was stopped by the honking of Felix car 

“Okay, he’s waiting. I promise I’ll find time and we’ll talk about it” he said 

“Okay thank you Jasper” I replied with a little smile 

“You’ll be on way now, right?” He asked with a warm tone 

“Yes most definitely. I’m a little late already ” I said softly 

“Okay then I’ll see you” he added with a smile on his face as he pecked my cheeks goodbye

Walking towards the door he turned and said “you look and smell incredible as always”  and with that he chuckled and left 

I had thoughts at this point because why is Jasper the sweetest man I know? Not only does he compliment me every single chance he gets he also has a way of making me feel better. 

Felix is not as sweet and caring as Jasper is. At first he seemed nice but although not as nice as Jasper is but he made me feel really special. 

I left for work not in my best mood but I love my job so I felt better after sometime. 

I couldn’t concentrate well enough on my work and I had things to do and I didn’t want to leave it till next week so I had to erase my thoughts on what happened earlier in the morning and I couldn’t stop thinking about how sweet and kind Jasper is. 

I was able to finish all I had to before I felt with Felix and while I clearing my desk and placing things in the right order, my phone rang “don’t keep me waiting” a deep voice called out on the other end of the call 

“I’ll be right down in five minutes” I said 

Minutes after the call, a colleague called out to me “Yoo Dana” 

“Uh you’ve got company in a red Tesla car” he said with a confused look

Laughing nervously and uncomfortably I said “ I don’t think that’s for me”

“Oh okay then” he said not sounding too convinced but I was so glad he didn’t ask further questions 

I’ve been working for a few months in the writing firm and I’ve tried to hide my identity of being Mrs Dana Bailey from my colleagues to avoid awkwardness and it was going smooth till Felix came by my office in one of the bright color cars making it obvious. 

‘Oh my God can he not do this’ I sighed

I packed up for the day, signed out of work and went down to meet Felix 

I never thought I’d be in a position to buy more than five things from a store. But here I was with a million things (of course not a million) but I mean a whole lot of things and I was just so excited but also shocked. 

“Do you have this McQueen in silver” I asked the lady attending to me 

“Yes ma’am. We have it in almost all colors” she said 

“Pack all of the colors for her” I heard Felix say 

“What?! That’s absolutely not necessary, i just feel the silver will be really nice” I said trying to persuade him 

“You’re my wife and I want you to have all colors” he said with a soft tone and a warm smile 

“Aww that’s so sweet. A black Birkin would really look nice with it” the lady said 

“Okay then can I get all the Birkins you have then” Felix said 

“What?!!! Do you have any idea how much Birkins cost?” I said my eyes wide opened 

“Money is not the problem and you know this. Get all for her” he said 

“Oh sir we don’t have them here. I suggest you go to a Birkin store” the lady said 

We drove to the store and got five Birkin bags and I couldn’t believe it, they’re worth a fortune and I have five of them? I wore the dresses and they fit so perfectly that I looked like a princess in a fairy tale. 

We were on our way to the party and the drive was good although with no form of communication I sat in the car and just looked down on my phone. 

‘He’s acting weird AGAIN’ I rolled my eyes
