Chapter1

"The world changes very fast. Some witches and vampires also live in this world alongside humans. The human race was in danger to be perished in the next few years because of the vampire's existence. They are powerful and humans are weak. Vampires are at the top of the food chain so humans are their prey. Humans can only hide or run for their lives once they saw a vampire. Witches are just a few and they are the mortal enemy of the vampire. But the last powerful witch died fifty years ago in the hands of the vampire king.  

People recognized vampires by their pale-looking skin and most of them are good-looking. They used their appearance to attract their prey. And the most powerful vampire is Trevor, the vampire king. But due to the powerful witch's curse, he slept for almost fifty years now. And only the blood of a woman who is destined to fall in love with him can awaken the vampire king. But the witch believed that no woman will fall in love with a ruthless vampire so Trevor will not be going to wake up again. He will sleep and waits for that woman forever. So the witch thinks that she still won against the vampire even if she died after she gave the vampire king a powerful curse."

"Is there a woman falls in love with the vampire king? Did the vampire king wakes up?" Dan one of Celestine's three nephews who are listening to her story suddenly asked her when she stop reading the book.

Celestine was inside the house of her uncle because her uncle and aunt asked her to look for their children while they are out. Today is their wedding anniversary so they went to a fancy restaurant to celebrate their anniversary. Since Celestine has nothing to do this day she agreed to become a babysitter for her seven years old triplets' nephews. She called her boyfriend and cousin, Tom, and Roda, to accompany her in babysitting her nephews. 

Every time Celestine visits her nephews they always asked her to read them a story. This time, she didn't read them a fairy tale story but a story that happened in real life. Most people of her father's age knew the story of the vampire king who slept for almost fifty years because of the witch's curse. And some people wrote it and made it into a book.

"As of now, the vampire king was still sleeping because the woman who will fall in love with him hasn't appeared or we don't know if that woman will appear. After all, no woman will love a ruthless and scary vampire," Celestine answered Diego, the eldest among the triplets.  

"You're already a grown-up but you still believe that story, Celestine? Be careful that you might be that vampire's destined lover," Roda teased Celestine. She and Tom are also listening to her story-telling.

"Yes, of course, I am. Vampires are everywhere so the story in this book is true," Celestine quickly replied to her cousin. She doesn't know why Roda doesn't believe the story when she knows that vampires really exist. As a matter of fact, Roda is scared of vampires so she just seldom comes out of their house. And if she went outside she makes sure that she was already inside their house before dark. Because vampires only come out from their hiding place when the sun is down. They couldn't walk under the sun because they will get burned and die. So while the sun is up, most people do the things they need to do and go home before dark. So when night comes, the surrounding is very quiet in some places. Because there are some places that are still crowded even at night. They are the people who are tough because they have a weapon to fight against vampires. They have guns because a silver bullet could hurt a vampire. Vampire also avoids people who wear silver chains on their necks. They are afraid of silver because they feel hurt and weakened when they have physical contact with the silver.

"Celestine was right. Vampires are everywhere so it's possible that the story written in that book is real," Tom agreed with his girlfriend then winked at her. Celestine couldn't help but giggle at what her boyfriend did. She likes it when Tom is winking at her. 

Celestine and Tom didn't notice Roda's face becomes darkened because they are now busy flirting with each other through their eyes. Unbeknownst to Celestine, her cousin secretly loves her boyfriend and Roda seduced him when she always has a chance. Although Tom loves Celestine, he couldn't resist her seductress cousin and made love to her twice already. But Roda is greedy. She wants Tom for herself only so she wishes Celestine to disappear forever or die. In that case, he will become Tom's girlfriend and they don't need to hide their relationship from anyone.

Before dark, Celestine's uncle and aunt went home already. Celestine gets ready to go home but Roda has a dark plan. She needs to do something so her cousin can't go home anymore. Before they went to their uncle's house she already hired two men to kidnap Celestine and kill her. She will not let slip this chance to get rid of her love rival.

"It's still early to go home, Celestine. Why don't we have some coffee before we get home?" Roda suddenly asked Celestine when they are already inside Tom's car. 

"That's a good idea. It was rare for you to go out and asked me for a coffee so I will grab this chance to have it with you," the innocent Celestine quickly agreed. 

"That's great! So let's go!" Roda smiled happily. But behind her smile is an evil plan that even Tom didn't know.

"I'm afraid I can't go with you, girls. I will take this chance to take a look in the library near the coffee shop and buy some books. I will pick you up later," said Tom. Tom wants to buy a new release volume of the vampire book that Celestine loves to read. He will give it to her to lessen his guilt for having an affair with her cousin.

Celestine and Roda have their coffee and talks about some happy events in their life. They have just finished half cup of coffee when Roda suddenly told Celestine that she wanted to go home already because she was afraid that they might encounter a vampire. It's because some vampires can go out even if the sun was still up they wear a thick coat and glasses and also wears a hat to protect their body against the rays of the sun. So when you see a person who wears like that even if the weather is very hot, then you should avoid him because that person is a vampire. Celestine knows how scared her cousin so she agreed to home without a word.

"Tom was just in the library not far from here so let's just walk and get him," Roda said to Celestine. She can't do her plan if they will wait for Tom to come and pick them up.

"Okay. Let's go," Celestine replied. Without a doubt of her cousin's intention, Celestine walks on the sidewalks together with Roda. But they just walks for almost a minute when two men approached them. One man holds Celestine's arm and a knife is aiming at her stomach while the other man pretended to do what his companion did to her.

"Celestine, what are we going to do?" Roda pretended to look frightened. 

Celestine was scared too but she hide it from these two men. She learns some self-defense from her father so she uses it to escape from those two men. She strongly hold the man's arm with a knife and pulled him in front of her then gives his manhood a strong kick. The man kneels in front of her while his hands held the thing between his legs. When the other man sees what she did to his companion he quickly let go of Roda and attacks Celestine. But Celestine was alert so before the man could stab her with his knife she first kick him in the stomach. But the man stands up quickly and attacked her again. This time, Celeste wasn't able to avoid the knife. The blade of the knife cuts her left arm but she didn't lose her courage. If she let her fear eat her then both she and Roda will die at the hands of these evil men. 

When the man attacks her again she manage to grab his hand with a knife and then twisted it and follow with a strong kick to his groin. And when the man fell beside the other man while writhing in pain, Celeste quickly pulled Roda's hand and run. 

Just to get away from those two kidnappers, Celestine runs without noticing that they run toward an old building. They went inside the building to hide. She was stabbed in her arm that's why she feels weak. The cuts were deep so blood from her wound is dripping down to her fingers. She suddenly feels dizzy, maybe because she already lost too much blood.

"Are you okay, Celestine?" Roda asked Celestine as if she is concerned with her but deep inside she was very furious because those two men that she hired failed to kill her. "Come and sit here. Don't worry because those men won't find us here."

Celestine leaned in a casket made of a huge tree. But she didn't know that she leaned in a casket because it doesn't look like a casket and she was in pain to notice it. She didn't know that inside a casket, a powerful vampire was lying. And the blood from her wound dripped down to a small hole in the casket and went straight to the mouth of the vampire. His conscious suddenly woke up the moment he tastes Celestine's blood. A happy but dangerous smile forms on his lips. Finally, the vampire king, Trevor, wakes up from a long sleep. The powerful and ruthless vampire in the story is now awake just because of Celestine's few drops of her blood. He is now ready to tremble the people in fear and most of all, he is ready to avenge the person who caused him to sleep for a long time.
