Chapter 2

Roda was very furious as her eyes followed Tom while carrying Celestine who is now unconscious. If Tom didn't appear just now she would have succeeded in killing her cousin. Celestine lost consciousness earlier so she have the chance to kill her with her hands. She picked up a steel that she saw on the floor and was about to hit her but unfortunately, she hear Tom's voice calling her cousin's name. And just a few seconds, he finally found them.

Tom said that he saw that Roda and Celestine were running towards this place while two men following them. When the two men see him and realized that he was with the two girls they quickly stop chasing them and retreated.

Tom shows his concern only towards Celestine especially when he saw her condition. And that makes Roda hate her cousin even more and at the same time, she feels hurt. Because Tom seems like he didn't have concern for her even just a little bit. They already have sex not once but twice but it seems that he only loves and cares about her cousin. But she was sure that if Celestine was gone, Tom's attention will be hers only. So she needs to think of another way how she can get rid of that woman.

Roda was about to follow her cousin and Tom when the casket's cover suddenly opened. Her eyes widen when she saw a vampire rising from inside the casket. Who would think that what her cousin leaned on earlier was a casket and worst a vampire is lying inside? Although the vampire is very good-looking because being handsome or beautiful is one of their characteristics he is still a vampire who mercilessly kills and drinks human blood to fulfill their thirst. Roda's body began trembling in fear. She wants to run but it seems her feet was glued to the floor. All she could do is to stare at the vampire who slowly opened his eyes.

"Don't be scared of me. I will not be going to hurt you since you are the person who woke me up with your blood," the vampire speaks with her. Roda's eyes suddenly went down to his hands cover with Celestine'a blood. She holds her cousin's wounds earlier when she heard Tom's voice that's why she has blood on her hand. She plans to use Celestine's blood to make a fake wound so that Tom will also worry her but he didn't even bother to check if she was hurt too because his attention focuses only on her cousin. Roda only understands now that Celestine's blood awaken the vampire in front of her because she leaned earlier in the casket where the vampire was lying in. 

"W-What do you mean?" asked Roda in a trembling voice. Her mind was telling her that the vampire in front of her is none other than the vampire in Celestine's story. It's because she heard him say that he woke up because of her blood, not knowing that it was actually her cousin's blood and not hers.

The vampire looks straight into Roda's eyes. But Roda knows that some vampires especially vampires can read minds by looking at a person's eyes so she quickly avoided his eyes. She was afraid that if the vampire knows that she is not the person who woke him he will kill her immediately. She protested that idea inside her mind. She can't die easily and especially in the hands of a vampire. She doesn't want to die until she couldn't let Celestine taste the pain of being rejected not only by the man she loves but also but their relatives.

Roda has envied Celestine for so long. It's because Celestine always has what she doesn't. She has loving parents, though she only has her father now because her mother died three years ago, and a vampire killed her. But still, Celestine has a father who loves and spoiled her, unlike Roda. Roda's parents always quarrel even in front of their daughter. Her parents don't care about her at all that's why she grew closer to Celestine's father who treated her as his own daughter. But Roda's parents were both dead now because of an accident. One of her relatives on her father's side adopted her but they didn't treat her just like one of their family. She envies Celestine because she only doesn't have a loving father but also she has Tom.

Tom becomes Roda's friend first until she introduced him to Celestine. And then Tom felt love at first sight with Celestine so he courted her until her cousin finally gives her heart to him. Roda was brokenhearted because she loves Tom but the man chooses to be with Celestine. Tom wouldn't notice her if she only didn't seduce him. Roda wants to have what Celestine had so she plans to get rid of her. But her plan didn't go well because Tom suddenly arrived. 

"I am Trevor. I don't know how long did I sleep. Although I want to drink your blood right now I won't do it because I know how to be grateful to the person who woke me up. Instead, I will do you a favor in return for what you did. It's one favor, one wish only so you better think twice about what you are going to ask me," the vampire said to Roda. And what he said only affirmed that Roda's suspicion about his identity was real.

Roda feels joy when she heard what Trevor says. She thought that she has no chance to get rid of Celestine but now another door opens to her plan. Heavens was still at her side, she thought. Because she will use Trevor to rid of her cousin. And even Tom can't save her even. if he wanted to.

"Are you sure that you are going to fulfill my wish?" Roda asked Trevor excitedly. She was no longer afraid of him because she knows now that he won't kill her as long as he think that she was the person who woke him up.

"Say it and I will fulfill it no matter what it is. And after that, I am no longer indebted to you and you better not appear in front of me because if that ever happens, I will not hesitate to kill you," Trevor replied and shoots her a dangerous look.

Roda took a deep breath before she speaks. "I only have one favor to ask you and that is to kill my cousin, Celestine," she requested Trevor. An evil smile forms on her lips. She never thought that the creatures she was afraid of the most will be the ones to fulfill her long desire.

Roda took out her cell phone from her pocket and show the picture of Celestine to Trevor.

"I'm not going to ask the reason why you wanted to kill this girl because it's not my business," Trevor said while staring at the beautiful face of a woman inside of a thing that is new to him. He thinks that he slept for too long and the technology now is high-tech because he doesn't know what was the name of the thing that the woman is holding. But he just ignore it even if he wanted to ask what is that thing that can capture a person. As long as he fulfills the wish of the woman in front of him he will be free from his gratitude. 

"Great!" Roda exclaimed. She can imagine that she will become the apple of his uncle's eye when Celestine is gone and Tom will be hers forever.

"I just woke up now and am still weak so I need a day before I fulfill your wish," Trevor said. He needs to drink blood to regain his strength because he feels that his body is weakened from sleeping for a long time.

"It's okay. As long as you fulfill my wish," Roda gives the address of Celestine's house to Trevor. Trevor didn't answer her and just walk back inside the casket to sleep. He can't go out now because the sun was still up. He will hunt for food later.

"Go home now before I change my mind and drink your blood," Trevor speaks while lying inside the casket.

"I will go now and wait for the good news. But you will only kill the girl that I showed you and no one else. If you want to drink human blood then find it from the other place and not the people in our house, okay?"

"Go now!" Trevor shouted in a loud voice instead of answering her. Because of fear, Roda immediately runs away from him.

On the other hand, Celestine woke up inside her room with a bandage on her left arm. Tom, her father, and Roda were standing near her bed and waiting for her to wake up.

"Thank God and you're finally awake, Celestine. Do you know that you scared me to death?" Roda quickly approached Celestine when she saw her cousin open her eyes.

"I'm okay now, Roda. You don't have to worry anymore," Celestine gave a faint smile to her cousin.

"It's good that you're okay now, Celestine. Roda already told us about what happened," said her father. He sits at the edge of her bed and gently caresses her head. "I don't know what I will do if something happened to you, Celestine," her father added emotionally.

Celestine smiled at her father so he will not worry about her anymore. "Don't worry too much about me, Dad. You teach me how to protect myself so now I can use it to protect myself."

Celestine's father just shake his head and didn't speak while Tom approach her and holds her hand.

"I'm sorry, Celestine. It's my fault because I left just the two of you in that coffee shop," Tom said with full of regret in his voice.

"C'mon, Tom. It's not your fault, okay? So please don't blame yourself. It's no one's fault but those kidnappers," Celestine replied. She gently pressed the hand of her boyfriend to convey that it was not his fault and he doesn't need to worry anymore because she was fine now. She just needs to rest a little bit to regain her strength.

"I wonder why those men wanted to kidnap you both? What do they want for both of you?" Celestine's Dad asked.

"T-That's I am also wondering," Roda said too. She becomes uneasy. She feels nervous that they will find out that she was behind the kidnapping incident.

"Let's stop thinking about that, Dad. Maybe they just want to kidnap us because they are evil," Celestine said to her dad ho he will not worry anymore.

"Okay. Buh make sure that if you go out again you will be more careful, okay?"

"Yes, Dad," Celestine replied.

Roda secretly smile because of what her uncle said. There will be no more next time because Celestine will be in the following days.

The three people left Celestine alone in her room to rest so she will recover quickly. Celestine feels asleep and woke up in the middle of the night when she suddenly feels hungry. Maybe she was sleeping soundly that's why her father didn't wake her up to eat their dinner. She slowly gets up from bed and walks towards the door to open the switch of the light because it's dark. She walks outside her room and went to the kitchen to look for food. While she was looking for food to eat inside the refrigerator she suddenly feels that there is someone inside their house so she immediately closes the refrigerator to look at her surroundings. Her eyes widened when she saw a  handsome yet pale-looking man suddenly appear in front of her.

"Who are you? How did you get inside our house?" Celestine asked the intruder bravely. The man stare at her and then smile as if he was delighted to see a special food in front of his eyes.

A vampire! It's what Celestine thinks when she saw his pointed fangs. She was about to run back to her room to save her life but the vampire quickly grabbed her shoulder so she couldn't run anymore.

"Where are you going, Lady?" he asked her in a dangerous tone.

Celestine forgot that she knows self-defense because of her fear of the vampire in front of her. And even if she knows self-defense she still can't defeat a vampire because they are very strong.

Celestine wanted to scream but it seems she lost her tongue because of fear. Her was body trembling while her eyes are wide open.

Trevor gives a scary smile to Celestine who was still in shock. The woman is very beautiful but she was unlucky because she will die at her hands. He was about to bite her neck but he stopped when he saw a vision of that woman together with him. He saw that he is carrying the woman in his arms and crying. He was taken aback by that vision. Why did he cry over that woman and he looks very devastated? Instead of killing the woman and drinking her blood he just hit the woman's neck with her hand to make her unconscious. He quickly carried her and went out of the house. He will not kill the woman until he finds out of what is the meaning of the vision he just saw.
