Perre's POV
Us werewolves were complex beings when it came to the matters of our hearts. Never would you encounter another creature as passionate and loyal as our kind. The goddess of the moon already wrote our love stories before we're even born. Our soulmates are predestined by the goddess herself. The concept of being mated was sacred to every single werewolf in this world.
And yet this good-for-nothing son of a bitch destroyed the reputation of our kind. Not only did he abandon his mate, he literally caused her doom. To be deceived was one thing but to be betrayed by the very person you loved and cherished was far greater. It would leave a lasting wound that's probably never gonna heal. The pain must be tenfold.

Shey’s POV The endless darkness was over. My eyelids flickered to the glimmer of light that awakened my senses. Slowly, I opened my eyes. I was welcomed with an unfamiliar sight. The interior of the room was very far from what I remembered my room was like. I scanned the place in hopes of finding a hint of familiarity to the place. But I failed. The woods incorporated into the walls gave a sensible warmth to the place.
