CH. 28 The Surprise

We drove in silence as I followed the directions Reagan had placed in my phone. She stared out the widow biting her lip as we drove. “Do you want to tell me where we are going?” I asked her. “Umm ya it’s just up the road we are almost there.” She said. We had been driving for a couple miles and I hadn’t seen a house. Finally as we turned a corner a two story farm house came into view. “Pull down that driveway” she pointed at the house.

I pulled down a long driveway that wrapped around the back to a garage that looked like it could be a separate house. The porch went all the way around the house with shrubs that were spaced a foot apart. The white railing matched the white house that had large windows everywhere. A solid red brick chimney rose out of one side of the house and the brown shingles blended in nicely.
