We arrive at the party, which is deep in the middle of the woods that surrounds our packs border. There are hundreds, if not a thousand werewolves here already and it’s early! I look around and take in the scenery as I’m getting out of Reggie’s truck. “I hope I find my mate tonight, said Reggie.” We start walking and get closer to the large gathering. I’m about to get my wolf, I’ll be 18 soon so that has to be why I’m feeling off. Shaking my head forcefully to wake up, I get out of bed and start thinking to myself.The town has been in a buzz since the announcement of the mating ceremony of the Alpha’s only daughter. Every pack member has been summoned to appear for the ceremony today. I really hate going to these ceremony’s but everyone is required to be there via Alpha Tomas’ rules. I hate standing out like a sore thumb. I’m so much taller than everyone else and I get so sick of all the attention I get. Anyway, time to take a shower and get ready. After getting ready I walk out of the house and decide to go for a run down to the pack house court yard where the ceremony will be. It’s only about a 5 mile run. I had already told mom and dad I’ll meet them there.

Everyone in our pack is here for the ceremony. We’re all just standing in a large group. There are some quiet conversations going on. Everyone is looking around. I know we have longer of a wait because these gatherings usually take awhile. I wipe the sweat from my forehead and take a look around to see if I can find my parents or my best friend Reggie. Since I’m much taller than everyone now, I spot Reggie pretty fast and start making my way thru the crowd.With my new larger size, people seem intimated of me. After the ceremony concluded people start leaving. I am still waiting for enough people to leave so I can move. I shoved my way about halfway in the crowd so now I’m stuck and surrounded. I don’t really like lemonade but I’m hot and parched. I’ll just enjoy this as much as I can. “Aaahhhhh” I say after chugging the entire glass in four seconds flat.
