'Calm down, Aanya, it's not a big deal"

Aanya tried to convince herself as she paced in the hallway. It was empty and dead silent with her being the only one there. It was so quiet that her footsteps echoed anytime she made a stride.

It was her fault, she barely had any sleep last night thanks to the scenario that had an awful timing. The lecturer wasn't hearing any of it. He asked her to leave without an atom of consideration. Now she was out in the hallway, feeling guilty as hell. She slipped on the wall she was resting on and fell to the floor, placing her head on her knee, praying that the lecturer would end fast enough, then Stacey could come out, and they would leave.

It was amusing how she was practically waiting for Stacey. If this happened a few days back, she would thank God for providing a way of escape from annoying Stacey, but it was different this time.

Stacey wasn't her friend, she tried to convince herself. She was just a fun partner. T
