Returning to the Nightstar Pack

SERENITY’S POV

“I think it’s time we went to your council. We are going to need all the help we can get,” Sebastian says.

“Council?” I asked. Having never been really taught much about packs, I didn’t even know that there was a council. I didn’t know there were many other packs outside the Deadly Nightshade, Knightlock, and Blackmist packs.

Everyone looks at me with confusion on their faces. As I am about to explain to them why I don’t understand what they mean, Skyler answers for me.

“Serenity doesn’t know who the Council are as Mom and Dad told the pack and our grandparents that she could not gain any knowledge of who they are and that no one could go to the council about the abuse. Dad was worried that if the council found out about the abuse, he would lose the pack. I also think he didn’t want them to know who Serenity was. If the council found out about the first female Nightshade being born in generations, they would work out what that meant.” Skyler explains.
