"I must admit, I didn't expect Miss Kathy to have cooking skills," Dominic remarked, visibly impressed.

"Given my financial situation, I had to learn how to cook for myself. It is too expensive to eat out anyway. I can't afford that.” she responded with a bright smile while setting the dining table in her new, grandiose living room.

Dominic stared at Kathy at that moment, and he couldn't help but feel a sense of surrealness.
