YOU'RE GOING TO DIE

Christopher, who was waiting back at home for Bryce to give him the good news about the girls he had asked him to deliver, got a call from one of his underlings that his son had been shot.

He got up and asked, "What? Bryce was shot? By who?"

The underling who called him said, "Well, I can't really tell, Stallion. There was a man and a girl, I think she was Queen, Queen Scorpion."

"Queen Scorpion? How is that possible?"

Christopher hurried to the room where Queen was earlier kept. He held the handle and realized that the door was unlocked. He pushed the door open and saw that it was empty. His eyes went to the window, and he realized that she had gone down through the window.

"So Queen was the one who shot Bryce?"

"Yeah, and she had help. I don't know who he is, but they seemed to be working together."

"How bad is his injury?" Stallion asked the underling.

"He was shot in his clavicle, but he will live."

"Okay, I'll be right there," Christopher replied.

He quickly hurried to the hospital where Bryce was being treated. He sat by his bedside, staring at him, and became filled with so much anger.

He walked out of the hospital, called all his underlings, and said, "I want Queen found as soon as possible. Let everyone know that Queen is to be hunted down. No matter where she is, she must pay for doing this to my son. Perhaps she thinks the Black Scorpions are still in charge. I will show her who Christopher Stallion is."

Queen kept shooting at the tires of the two cars chasing them until she finally took them out. Afterward, she sat close to the boxes and closed her eyes, trying to think of what next she had to do.

The cop whose name was Shawn kept driving until they finally arrived at the station. Although it was dark, he quickly signaled for other officers to come out, and all the girls were taken out of the vehicle.

The officers were shocked to see that the girls numbered more than twenty-two. Some were very weak while the others were unconscious.

"We need to take them to the hospital," one of the officers said.

"Not yet," Shawn replied. "The lives of these girls are in danger. We need to ensure that we get in touch with their parents. Check the missing persons' files and look at their faces. Do not worry, they're not going to die. They're being taken to other countries and sold off. So please, run their faces in our systems and we will get as much information about their parents.

The officer nodded and began to take pictures of the girls.

His eyes went towards Queen, who had earlier come out of the truck and was leaning against it. He paused for a minute and finally wanted to also take a picture of her, but she blocked her face and said, "No need, I know who I am."

He stared at her and then back at Shawn before turning his attention back to the other girls.

After putting a few calls across, they discovered that most of the girls' parents had already reported them missing. And some were taken from other countries.

"Okay, now we can take them all to the hospital, and remember, they all need to be protected," Shawn instructed.

One of the officers who came out and saw the girls began to complain, "What is all this? This is not a job for our section. It's already very late, we should be resting. Now we have to take these girls to the hospital."

From where she stood, Queen felt like punching the officer in his face while Shawn went over and shoved him, "You better mind your words around me."

"Yes, sir," the officer replied and turned his back on them.

All the girls were taken into the station as Shawn put a call across to bring ambulances with officers guarding them, so all the girls would be safe.

Queen kept leaning on the truck as minutes and hours ticked by. She wanted to ensure that the children were all safe and knew she would not feel at ease until they were taken to the hospital. She still has no shoes on but that was the least of her problems.

Two hours later, different ambulances with police officers in them arrived and Queen rolled her eyes, Finally!"

Shawn had filled out the paperwork and done everything he had to. He came out of the station and spoke to the men who had just arrived and they began taking the children out.

Afterward, he walked over to meet Queen. He was impressed, though, that she was smart enough to stay behind since she seemed eager to disappear initially.

All the girls will be transported to a hospital soon and be reunited with their families. Would you like to come into the station and rest until morning?" He asked.

Queen shook her head, "No. I don't want to answer any useless questions."

"Okay, I'll be going to the hospital and back home afterward. I have a lot on my plate but I can do you a favor. Tell me where to drop you off."

"There's no need for that. I'm going with you to the hospital and after that, I can go on my own." Queen replied.

"Hold on, it's not safe for you to be out alone. Don't forget that some of those men chased us. They may be lurking around for any sight of you, and my car is here in the station. I deliberately left it because I didn't want to be seen. You should let me drop you off safely."

While they were talking, both Queen and Shawn overheard an officer from inside the station complaining.

"What does he think he is? He goes for operations alone. Why is he the only one allowed to act however he wants? He takes all the glory as though we do not work hard. I'm sick and tired of that officer called Shawn. He's too obnoxious."

She stared at him and back at the station as she said, "Don't they just love you?"

Shawn ignored the man and pointed at his car. As Queen approached it, he noticed she wasn't wearing any shoes and wondered, "Who could she be?"

After going to the hospital, Queen wanted to leave on her own but Shawn stopped her because it was not yet morning.

"Where's home?" He asked. "Let me drop you off. So I won't have any regrets later."

"Nowhere," Queen replied.

He sighed, feeling irritated, Are you always this stubborn?"

"It depends on my mood," She said.

Shawn insisted until Queen finally gave in and got into his car.

Since he had no idea where to take her, he asked while driving, "Nowhere, huh? So, you said something about your parents earlier."

She nodded, "Yes, I need to save my parents. The Stallions took them to a safe house, that's what I discovered."

Shawn nodded, "Oh, now I understand why you came there. Just in case you're not aware, the Stallions have so many safe houses. That is just one of them. And that place was probably used to keep the girls. So if you want to find your parents, you need to dig deeper."

Queen nodded while Shawn continued, "So tell me, where did you learn how to shoot? And how exactly did you get there searching for your parents? I don't understand. You seem like a little girl who barely..."

"You know what, just drop me here," Queen cut in.

Shawn stared at her in surprise, "What?"

"Yeah, drop me here." She repeated.

"Come on, you won't even get a ride here."

Seeing that she was adamant, Shawn got upset, stopped his car, and said, "You can get out. Whatever happens hereon is on you."

Queen got off and walked away from him, trying to look around to see if she should get a ride. She thought about where to go and realized that she couldn't go back to the Black Scorpion mansion yet. She wanted to go to a hotel but as she touched her pockets, she realized that she had changed into different clothes.

"Shit," she cursed under her breath, "I don't have any money with me."

At this point, Shawn, who was staring at her through his rearview mirror, turned on the ignition and wanted to drive off, but she ran after the car and hit it from the back, "Hold on, wait, wait."

He stopped, and she opened the door and got in.

"No longer going your own way, are you?" He mocked.

She stared at him for a while and said, "I, uh, I don't have my things with me."

"Your things? Okay, I'm sure you came from somewhere. Just tell me where it is, and I'll drop you off."

"Take me to the Black Scorpion's mansion, then. I need to get something very important from there."

Shawn thought for a while, "Black Scorpion's mansion,? You're Scorpion's daughter?"

She nodded.

"Your name is Queen?"

Queen stared at him in surprise, "How did you know?"

"Come on, if I was able to infiltrate the safe house of the Wild Stallions, then it means I know what I'm doing. I've done my homework. I know all the gangs and their families. Just as I know that your father was the former leader of the gangs, and he has only one daughter whose name is Queen."

"I see," she nodded, "it's good, you know what you're doing."

Shawn suddenly pulled over in front of a supermarket that was still open and Queen stared at him in surprise. She was about to ask him what he was doing when he pulled her out of the car and said, "Come with me."

She was surprised when he picked out a pair of white sneakers and handed them to her, "These look like your size. I'm sure you wouldn't want people to think you're crazy."

She stared at her feet which were dirty and flashed him a grateful smile before putting on the sneakers.

When they got back into his car, he said, "You have a few cuts on your neck and other light injuries. I would advise that you rest tonight and do whatever you want in the morning.

Queen no longer argued with him because she knew that going to the Black Scorpions mansion at this time would turn out badly for her so she let Shawn drive her to his house.

When he drove in through his gates, Queen looked around the place carefully to be able to escape just in case Shawn tried to act untoward.

Without paying attention to what she was doing, Shawn came out of the car and walked into the house. After hesitating for a while, Queen finally followed behind him.

When they got in, she saw that his house was like the Black Scorpion's mansion: luxurious and very beautiful.

"How does a cop get to afford a place like this?" she asked.

He smiled, "Well, I'm not your regular cop. Okay... let's see."

He went into his room, took out a towel and soap, and gave them to her, "There's a toilet in the visitor's room. You can help yourself out if you wish to."

After speaking, he walked into his room.

Queen went into the visitor's room he spoke about. She had blood stains on the shirt she wore and a few injuries on her neck. They seemed like scratches from glass.

She quickly washed up and put on the clothes she had been wearing before, but because her shirt was bloody, she couldn't use it. So she came out and asked, "Do you have any shirt I can use?"

"Yeah," he replied while setting up the dining.

He went into his room, took one of his T-shirts, and gave it to her.

"Thank you," she said.

She went back to the room, took off the bloody shirt, and wore the one he gave her. The shirt smelled of him, it smelled nice.

"Not bad," she said to herself.

The shirt was really big on her, but that was the least of her problems. She stayed in the bedroom, strategizing on how she would get into the mansion, and came out two hours later.

When she came out of the room, she saw Shawn in the living room with so many papers and pictures on the table while he sat down studying them. He gestured toward the dining, asking her to eat but she ignored him

"I need a ride and a weapon," she rather said.

He stared at her, "Queen if I remember correctly, you should be about eighteen, right? I don't think it's legal for me to be the one handing you a weapon."

She scoffed, "I bet I can take you on if I want to."

"Well, it's good to dream," he replied. "But where do you need a ride to? The Black Scorpion's mansion?"

"Yes," she replied.

"I've thought about it and realized it's not safe, Queen. I will advise you not to go there."

"Worry about your problems, old man," she replied.

Shawn chuckled revealing his dimples, "Old man? I'm just thirty-four and still in my prime. I'm not old."

"Yeah, whatever," she replied. "Just help me with a gun or a knife, anything would do. And drop me off, afterward. Please."

"As I said, I'm not giving you any weapon." Shawn stood his ground.

She nodded and turned away from him, walked into his kitchen, and picked up a knife from the shelf.

"Hey, what are you doing?" he asked.

She ignored him and put the knife in her pocket, "are you giving me the ride or not?"

He stared at her for a while and said, "You're really stubborn, and you're going to get yourself in trouble."

She smiled, "Are you giving me the ride or not?"

"Okay," he said.

After washing his face and mouth and changing his clothes. Shawn picked up his gun and strapped it to his pants while Queen took advantage of the opportunity to put a few morsels in her mouth.

After picking up his jacket, Shawn came out of the room and they left the house together. They quickly got into his car, and he drove her to the mansion.

When they got there, they saw an underling guarding the gate, which was partially open

Shawn's car was parked at a distance where no one would easily notice, but he could see different armed men inside, moving about.

He stared at Queen and said, "It's not safe. If you go in there, you're going to die."

"We will all die someday," she replied and came out of the car.

Staring at him from outside, she added, "If that day is today, so be it. Thanks for breakfast, by the way."
