I GOT YOU

Shawn stared at Queen with surprise in his eyes. She seemed really brave for a girl who was just eighteen. As he looked at her before she walked away, he realized she was beautiful—too beautiful to die, he thought.

Perhaps she knew what she was doing, but he felt she was being impulsive. She must really be upset about what happened to her parents, that she was not thinking about her own life. She was just too stubborn and he hated people who did not listen.

There was nothing else he could do. He had a mission to carry out, and he needed to focus on it. So, he remained there and watched her as she walked away in the white T-shirt he had given to her, along with her black pants and the sneakers he had bought.

The knife she had taken from his house was in her back pocket, and she moved closer to the wall and began to walk beside it. From where he was, he kept looking at the underling at the gate, wondering if he could see her, but he didn't.

Perhaps she knew that he wouldn't be able to see her from the gate, which was why she wasn't afraid. But there were so many men inside, and no matter how he thought about it, there was no way she'd make it out alive.

He didn't know why she wanted to go in there, but for some reason, he felt the need to protect her. He watched as she walked over to the gate and whistled. The underling turned and noticed her. He quickly tried to attack, but then Queen punched him, dragging him away from the gate. She hit his head on the fence, and he instantly fainted.

She searched his body, took out his gun and a grenade which was in his pocket. She put the grenade in her pocket and his gun at the back before walking slowly into the compound.

Shawn stared at the underlings once again and shook his head, "No, she's definitely going to get killed."

Queen may have come off as brave to Shawn but heart was beating very fast. From the gate where she stood, there were about seven men, the ones she could see, and they were all Stallions. She knew that they had gotten rid of all of their men who had been left at home the previous day, and as she recalled all the ones she had gotten to like over the years, she felt extreme grief at their death.

"Once I save my parents, I'll make them all pay," she said inwardly.

She stood there, waiting for an opportunity. The underlings were talking amongst themselves and their attention was not really focused on where she was, but she knew that the slightest movement would get their attention. She scanned the area and decided to move inbetween the cars. There were so many cars parked in the compound, and moving between them was going to help her.

She quickly dashed towards the fleet of cars, alerting the attention of one of the men, and he turned.

"What is it?" his fellow underling asked him.

"I think I saw something moving." He replied.

"Really? Let's go and check it out," the other underling advised.

They both began walking to the gate, and the other five who were also standing suddenly wondered what was going on.

They began to look around as well, "Is something wrong?"

The one walking towards the gate said, "Don't forget, that we were told to look out for Queen. She might come here, and our priority is to deliver her alive to Christopher Stallion. He wants to punish her himself."

"Okay." They all nodded.

The underling walked out to the gate and was shocked to see the one stationed at the gate on the ground. He turned and screamed, "Billy is down! Billy is down!"

They all became alarmed and dispersed, looking around for the intruder.

Queen placed her hand on her chest. "I need to get in there," she said. "How do I do it?"

As she moved to the end of where the cars were parked, one of the underlings noticed her and fired a shot in her direction. She quickly fell flat on the ground and rolled into one of the cars, while they all turned their attention to her and began shooting at her.

From where he sat, Shawn heard the different gunshots sounds and began to fear for Queen. Something compelled him, and he started his car and drove into the compound. The gate had been left open by the underling who had come out and raised an alarm, and the other whom Queen had made unconscious was still lying by the gate.

Shawn drove inside at that moment and began shooting at the different men who were outside. They all turned their attention to him, and began shooting back.

Queen took advantage of this opportunity and ran to the door. When she got inside, there were two underlings standing at the door, and they instantly attacked her.

After kicking each of them in the balls, she took the knife from the back of her pocket, and stabbed both of them, one after the other. Afterwards, she began making her way upstairs.

Outside, where he was, Shawn kept shooting at the men. He ended up killing four, but one moved away from the cars and threw a grenade inside his. The moment he saw the grenade, Shawn pushed open the door of his car open and jumped out, before the grenade exploded. He began to crawl in the direction of the other cars, and after hiding under one of them, he shot an underling in his leg, just as Queen had done.

At that moment, more underlings began to run out from inside the house, and he wondered if they had caught Queen because she had gone in the same direction. However, at this point, Queen was hiding in a corridor where she knew no one would be able to see her. Since it was her father's house, she knew all the right places to hide.

The underlings at this moment all ran out. There were more than twenty of them, and they knew that there was an intruder. Queen waited until they had all run out and came out of hiding before going up a flight of stairs to get what she came for.

The moment she got to the right room, she kicked the door open, and saw two underlings standing right in front of what she wanted. They shot at her, but she instantly ducked, shooting them in their legs. As they fell, she walked closer, stared at both of them, and angrily shot them dead.

She looked at the glass box which had what she had come for. It was a flash drive attached to a silver necklace. No one could open the box or move it without the code, and her father had made it so that if anyone tried to take it forcefully, the box would self-destruct and destroy everything and everyone in the building. This was why the underlings had been protecting it. She quickly typed in the code, took out the flash, and wore it around her neck.

Right at that moment, the door was pushed open, and someone shot in her direction. She quickly moved to the side, hiding by the door that led to the top of the stairs. She also began to shoot back as they shot at her.

Shawn knew they were closing in on him. He kept crawling until he got to the end of the vehicles like Queen had done. But this time, he ran toward the back of the house.

Since she couldn't get the man who was shooting at her, Queen knew that she needed to leave, since she had what she wanted. So she ran up to the highest floor, but kept hearing the footsteps of the same man following her, firing shots at her until he ran out of bullets.

She stopped when she heard him pull the trigger, but no bullets came from his gun. Without wasting even a second, she ran back, descending the stairs. She saw the man quickly trying to reload his gun and shot him in the head.

She looked through the window and saw Shawn. She was shocked. She had not thought that he would come after her. She saw that all the underlings were heading in his direction, and they were going to get him.

Taking out the grenade she had put in her pocket, she threw it through the window. Some of the underlings who did not see it coming died and the others sustained injuries as the grenade exploded..

The others quickly dispersed and took cover since they didn't know where the grenade had come from.

Shawn, who thought they had almost gotten him, looked up and saw Queen. He was surprised.

"Wait," she said.

"We have to get out, now," he replied.

Queen spotted an underling who was about shooting Shawn from the back and shot at him.

A few other underlings were still alive and Christopher Stallion had been informed of the attack so he sent reinforcements to facilitate Queen's capture.

She immediately tied the window curtains and descended with the help of the curtains to meet Shawn whose clothes were just as dirty as hers.

"Come on, there's a back door," she said.

"Much better," he replied.

They began running towards the back.

"Where's your car?" she asked.

"Forget about it," he replied.

When they reached the gate at the back, Queen typed in the password, but it wouldn't open.

"Shit," she cursed. "The password has been changed."

"What?"

"Come on, there's another way out," she suggested.

She led him toward a mass and said, "Quick, climb up."

"Oh, dang it, I don't do too well with heights." Shawn hesitated.

"Come on, we don't have time," Queen insisted.

They began to climb the mass as quickly as they could while the underlings searched around for them.

Just as they got to the level of the fence, they heard shots being fired, and both got on the fence and jumped out the other side.

When they landed on the ground, Queen cried out as she hit her leg on a stone.

"Sorry," Shawn said to her.

He held her hand, and they began to run. The few underlings who were left, got into their cars and drove out to chase after them.

They kept running without stopping, but Queen was running really slowly because of the injury on her leg.

"You need to move faster," Shawn said. "They're closing in."

"Okay," she replied.

They ran into a building and went to the top. Shawn spotted a bridge and got an idea.

"Come on, let's go down," he said to her.

They went down through the staircase and ran towards the bridge. When they got there, Shawn turned and spotted the underlings coming in their cars.

"We need to jump," he said to her.

"Jump? Through where?" she asked.

"The water. We need to jump into the water." He replied.

Queen looked at the vast body of water below and concluded that they were not going to make it. She looked back at the underlings and said, "No, I'd rather take my chances with them."

Taking out her gun, she turned, ready to shoot.

But Shawn said, "No, you won't make it. We need to jump, Queen."

"I don't swim so good," she replied.

"Don't worry, I'm an excellent swimmer. I got you." Shawn responded.

Queen stared at him, "I don't trust you."

She turned and still wanted to face the men, but Shawn quickly held her shoulders and pushed her. Shocked, she clutched his shirt, holding onto him as she pulled him with her, and they both ended up falling at the same time.

Queen screamed in fear as she plunged into the water.

The underlings eventually arrived and came down from their cars. They began shooting into the water.

Just as she had told him, Queen wasn't a strong swimmer. She tried her best to swim, but the water was really big, and getting to the other side wasn't going to be easy.

She kept swimming, telling herself that she had to make it because her parents' lives depended on her.

However, she soon became very tired. Her arms began to cramp up and she could no longer move.

Shawn, who was a fast swimmer, kept turning every few seconds to ensure that Queen was okay. When he turned once more, he noticed that she wasn't moving anymore.

He swam back and grabbed her, swimming with her as he knew that they couldn't waste too much time in the water. If those underlings turned and got to where he wanted to swim out from, they would not be able to make it.

They finally arrived on land and he heaved a sigh of relief.

He came out of the water, carrying her in his arms because she had lost consciousness.

Placing her on the ground, he tilted her head and tried to resuscitate her by applying compressions on her chest, but she wouldn't wake up.

"Queen, wake up, open your eyes!" He said anxiously while performing CPR on her.

Despite his efforts, she unconscious and her skin had gotten whiter than it was before.

He looked around and seeing that the underlings weren't close, opened her mouth and covered it with his as he blew air into her lungs.

He kept giving her mouth-to-mouth resuscitation until she inhaled and opened her eyes.

She began to cough out water from her mouth and nose while Shawn asked, "What you went for, did you get it?"

She nodded, "Yes, I did."

"Good, then we need to go, right now!"
