04. Unconscious

Delmar's blood heated up when he saw the wounds and bruises on Brisa’s white skin. Delmar knew very well that Brisa’s skin was very smooth, without any wounds.

Because since childhood, Delmar was the one who always looked after Brisa. Their age difference which is two years apart makes the older Delmar always replace Alvin's position as Brisa’s brother, to take care of the woman.

But what Delmar saw in front of him now, the wounds and bruises that were not only one and there were also looked very new.

"What's this, Bri? Did Juan do all this?!”

Brisa’s body trembled, she was very afraid of her secret being exposed. 'No, no one should know. They must not be hurt because of me, not my family, not Delmar too.

Brisa pulled the cardigan back over her shoulders. "Do not touch me!"

Brisa forcibly pulled her hand away, then ran as fast as she could from Delmar. Brisia decided to leave the hospital alone. Maybe tomorrow he will come to this place again. The important thing now was to get away from Delmar before Delmar forced her to speak and the secret was finally revealed.

However, it is not Delmar whose name is if Brisa manages to escape. Delmar chased Brisa with long strides all the way to the outside of the hospital. Until he could hold her shoulder.

"Bri! Tell me, who did all that to you?”

Delmar insisted. He wouldn't have stopped if Brisa hadn't told him what had really happened. Anyone who injured his Brisa, he would kill him right now.

"Get off! What's your business?! You've just left me alone. You were gone for five years, Del. Five years! You think it's a short time? And now you're asking as if you were mad that someone hurt me? If you hadn't gone, I wouldn't have gone through all this, Del! You're mean! You left me and I ended up suffering like this! You used to promise to always be my guardian angel, but in the end because I couldn't answer your feelings, you left without ever turning back. If we don't meet now, it's probably not a year before you'll meet my corpse!”

Brisa cries. Crying for her misfortune, crying over her choice, crying for a friend who had the heart to leave her, crying for the protector who disappeared from her life.

Delmar looked at Brisa guiltily. The woman was right, he shouldn't have left Brisa even though Brisa couldn't accept his feelings. He who was injured at that time did not realize his selfish actions.

Delmar hugged Brisa tightly. "Sorry, Bri. Forgive me. I blame you."

Delmar continued to hug Brisa, he also rubbed the woman's head which was now on his chest.

The physical differences between Delmar and Brisa are significant. Delmar is one hundred and eight seven centimeters and is stocky while Brisa is one hundred and seventy centimeters with a petite body. It made Brisa look like she was drowning in Delmar's arms.

After Brisa’s crying had subsided a bit, the woman began to speak. “Del, promise me. Don't tell anyone this. I beg you, please help me by not saying this.”

"No, Bri. This cannot be allowed. You could be killed at this rate.”

Brisa shook her head. "Not. I promise it won't happen. I beg you, Del. You said you felt sorry for me, then make up for that guilt by keeping this a secret.”

Delmar released his arm. He pushed his hair back in frustration at the unreasonable demands of the woman he loved. "Bri! Are you crazy? I must talk to that bastard!”

Don't know what Delmar wanted to do, because the man was seen taking his cell phone from his trouser pocket.

Brisa immediately grabbed Delmar's hand to stop him. "Dell! Help. Don't be like this, won't you try to understand my position?"

Delmar was about to argue but his cell phone rang. It was a call from his mother.

Delmar sighed. "I answered the call from Mama first."

Brisa just nodded and chose silence.

"Hello, yes Mom. I'm at the front. I just met… Bri! Brisaaa!”

Brisa who saw an opportunity to escape finally got into a taxi that had just dropped off the passengers. She quickly asked the driver to go straight.

Brisa could see that Delmar was still stubbornly trying to chase after her, even though the distance between them was quite far.

'No, Del. Better like this. I live the life I have chosen, and you live yours in peace, without any distractions from me.'

Brisa burst into tears again, her cries making a roaring sound. Making the taxi driver glance back from the rearview mirror in the middle.

***

Brisa arrived home in the late afternoon. Earlier he asked the taxi driver to take him to Zurriola beach. He wanted to cry but he couldn't do it in the apartment.

In every corner of his apartment there is CCTV which is directly accessed to Juan's computer. So, instead of provoking Juan's curiosity, it was better for Brisa to cry elsewhere.

Let others consider her a half-sane woman from crying in public, rather than having to face her husband's curiosity.

Luckily the city of San Sebastian is a city that is dominated by many beautiful beaches, so Brisa can find a beach that is calm enough for her to let her heart out. Because when she got home, she couldn't show anything in front of Juan.

Brisa’s eyes narrowed. The figure she was afraid of was already sitting on the sofa in the living room of their apartment.

“Ju… Juan. When are you coming home? I just got home from the hospital,” Brisa stammered.

Juan's eyes stared intently at Brisa. "Hospital? Then why didn't you take any medicine with you?"

“Hmm i… that's because…”

Sounding of slap

Because she was so scared, Brisa didn't realize that Juan was already standing in front of her. Brisa’s husband had put a hand to her cheek which was still swollen, left over from last night's slap.

“You lied to me! You did go to the hospital but not for treatment, but to see that man, right?!”

Brisa cries. It looks like her eyes will soon go blind from constantly crying. Her eyes were sore from the constant tears.

"Wake up you! Doctor Ariana contacted my secretary because you disappeared when it was your turn and you couldn't be reached. I sent people over there and got information that you were playing catch-up with that guy! I've told you many times that I hate him! I really hate Delmar but what? You even hugged him on the side of the road?!”

It wasn't the hands, but the feet that Juan threw at Brisa. Juan kicked also stepped on Brisa’s body. Brisa’s hand was also stepped on until the sound of bones crackling was heard.

Brisa’s lips and nose were already bleeding. She no longer had the strength to scream let alone to protect himself.

Juan didn't stop even though Brisa had started to lose consciousness. It can be seen from Brisa’s body which no longer moves, except for the movement resulting from Juan's punches and kicks.

'Mom, Papa, Brother, Del. I'm sorry, maybe it must be like this in the end. I'm tired, and I want this to end quickly.'

Brisa closed her eyes, and after that she could neither hear Juan's voice nor feel anything from Juan's brutal attack.
