"Are they coming here, right now?" Jared asked with a calm expression on his face.

"They have stepped into the territory. Some of the scouts must have encountered them by now" I told him. Taking my hand in his, he led me into the pack house and took me to Alpha Vincent's office. He knocked twice and pushed the door open. Alpha Vincent was standing by the window, his hands buried in the pockets of his black slacks. His white long sleeved shirt outlined the fact that he was fit. His hair curled up at his nape and disappeared underneath the collar of his shirt. Jared cleared his throat and walked towards him without letting go of my hand

"I heard from the scouts that there have been a breach" Alpha Vincent stated, not looking away from the sky.

"The shadow assassins are attacking the pack" I said. Slowly, he turned to look at me. He regarded me warily. Then, he spoke.

"You mean, they're coming here to try to do what you couldn't do"
