Chapter 35: Ring

Katerina smiled as she prepared the table for their dinner. It's been days since both of them are on the island spending their not so late honeymoon. After she finished what she was doing, she noticed that Damon was not in the living room. She also tried to find her husband inside their room but he was not there either so she decided to look for him outside.

There was no one on the beach when she got out. She went around the back of the beach house and was surprised to notice that there was a small lighthouse in that area. Looking up, she saw Damon upstairs who seemed to be talking to someone on the cellphone.

"There you are," she whispered with a smile on her lips and ran upstairs.

She reached the top just as Damon turned around and was surprised to see her. "Hey, I've been looking for you," Katerina stated and hugged Damon "...dinner is ready."

"I'm sorry, someone just called me," he shared then kissed her on the top of her forehead.

"Who was it? Business matters?"
