Epilogue

I miss him. I really do. I think of him everyday. I see him everywhere. I hear his voice. I know it's all my imagination, but I don't want to let go of these fragments of my imaginations. They are probably the only thing keeping me sane. Our daughter, Althea has been growing up so fast. She's also really smart. She rarely asks about her father after the day she found me crying in the bedroom with Mikael's photo in my hands.

She has his grey eyes and my red hair. Infact, she looks a lot like her father. But, she's just as feisty as me. My little girl doesn't say it, but I know she wants to have a dad, just like the rest of her classmates.

Tomorrow is her birthday. Her eight birthday. Yes, it has been eight years since her father died and every time I think of Althea's birth, I'm reminded of the death of her father, the love of my life.
