The night was as hellish as a night in a cell could get.

The heat, mosquitoes. But it seems like I was the only one bothered about the discomfort.

Everyone else in the room was sound asleep, including my father. Well this is understandable, he must be used to this already.

My heart twinged when I remembered that this is the condition my father has been in for more than ten years. If we had a hint that he was alive I would have done anything possible to save him.

When I opened my eyes for what seemed like the hundredth time in a few hours, everything was still pitch dark.

My insides boiled like I was suffocating. I had this sudden urge to run in the woods but how could I when I was a prisoner.

I felt Lora shift in my arms and noticed that she was awake from her breaths.

"Hey baby...." I whispered as I held her tighter and brushed my lips against her hair.

She shifted again, settling better against me, and the movement shook down my spine and I suddenly became aware of the growing need
