HonourI became aware again when I heard her voice."She told you her name?"Carla. She's found us. I caught glimpses of what was going on this time. Bits and pieces of conversation. I still couldn't talk to Hetty, but I could observe.I watch as the two men with Carla, they smell strange, come to drag me away. Jess, being the kind and decent human being she is, tried to get them off of me. I had to fight back to protect her.I feel the tingle start, of course, our shifting is all sorts of a mess. I get free and am able to separate Jess from the one holding her back. I feel the pain in my bones as they prepare to change.I manage to get Jess into the shed and block her in while Carla begs me to calm down saying they can fix this, whatever this is. As if I am some wild animal that will destroy anyone around me. Eye roll. I feel the shift take over and find myself standing in Hetty's form before a confused and embarrassed Carla."You fix this by undoing it Carla. I can't contact Hetty.

HonourEvonleigh sniffs before she starts talking again. "Honour, it's gotten bad. Krauft got really angry after you left. He took it out mostly on Eli. He's been asleep for a couple days now. HonourI hold the pill cup in the palm of our hand and stare at them for a moment. One is a light purple color, one is black, and the third is white with a shimmer to it. EvieI cried myself to sleep for the umpteenth night in a row. I've been here longer than Hetty and Eli. I barely remember a time before being here. Sometimes I dream of my mother. All I hear is blood moving behind my ears aside from the low muffled voice. I blink again and I see a face. I look around again.There's trees. A road. On the side of the road there's a car. A jeep. What in the world?!I look around again and find the man's face. He's older, probably about the same age as Krauft. His hands are held up, palms facing me as a sign of passivity. LeoI don't know what I was thinking. I wasn't even supposed to be on that road. I had missed my turn and decided to stay stay on the scenic route. It's only 5 minutes longer than my normal way home.I saw her come through the trees and seemed to collapse in pain and every fiber of my being pushed me to go check what was up. As I approached I didn't see any physical injuries, maybe she just exhausted herself? It's stupid, absolutely idiotic to touch a wild wolf, especially an injured one, but I couldn't help it. Before I even registered what was happening I was kneeling and reaching for her muzzle. Just as my fingertips were about to touch I heard a whimper and I froze."Are you trying to get your hand bitten off?" I scolded myself. "Cause this is how you get your hand bitten off. I like my hands, my hands do great things. JessI start with vitals; lung sounds, heart beat, eye check. Nothing out of the ordinary for a wolf. She seems underweight. "Could you go grab the portable scale for me?""Of course" Leo stalks off to the shed.Next up are teeth and claws. Teeth look normal, perfect even. Claws are a bit long, odd. Ears are fine. Next I run my hands along her legs to check for joint swelling, injury, or parasites; ticks, fleas, etc. Nothing. So far she's seems the picture of health, although a bit on the larger side.Leo comes back with the scale and helps me shimmy her onto it. 103.94 lbs. Not bad for an ordinary female, but she's large, she should be closer to 120-130lbs."She's definitely underweight, but otherwise healthy. She probably collapsed from hunger and exhaustion."
