Kabanata 3

Ride 

The ride from their house to mine was quite long, buti nalang at suot ko ang airpods ko kaya nag patugtog ako ng mellow music habang nag d-drive. Bumaba ako sa sasakyan ko at pinagmasdan ang bahay nila. Their Mansion is located in forbes. 

We are rich but not this kind of rich. It was a modern house with a touch of Spanish antiques. The front yard was full of elegant plants and flowers, they have a double door. 

“Let’s go?” He asked

Tumango ako sakanya at tinignan ang mga body guard sa likod niya. I smiled at them, pero hindi man lang sila ngumiti pabalik! Agad na nagsalubong ang kilay ko. I saw Clyde Oliver take a glance because of the sudden change of my emotion. 

“Let me introduce you to them” Tumango ako sa kanya at sumunod sa mga yapak niya papunta sa kanila. 

Pati likod gwapo. I smirked at that thought. But that thought vanished when I saw Clyde looking at me with furrowed eyes. 

“What?” 

“Why are you smiling like that?” he asked

“Nothing” I answered and lowered my gaze. 

“Pati ba naman likod ko na gwagwapuhan ka?” 

My eyes widened when I heard what he said, Omayghod! Mindreader ba siya? Or was I too obvious? 

“Anyway” tuloy nito “Here is your group” 

They all have the same body features but different aura’s

“This is Kevin” This one has a soft and funny aura. I smiled and offered my hand. 

Agad niya naman ito tinanggap at nakipag kamay sakin. 

“Hi Ms. Elin, Magandang Umaga” I smiled “Ang ganda niyo po pala sa personal noh?” dagdag pa nito 

Ang lalaki sa tabi niya ay nagpipigil ng tawa kaya napatawa nalang din ako. Sunod akong humarap sa katabi nito, agad naglahad ng kamay at ngumiti sakin. 

“James po, Ms. Elin” 

Tinanggap ko ang kamay niya at ngumiti pabalik. 

“First Lieutenant Noah Carpio,” he said formally, To contradict the aura that he gave, I smiled wider and took his hand to shake it. 

“Savannah Elin S. Mercado,” I said and looked at them “You can call me Savannah or Elin, whatever you like,” I advised 

“You call her Elin” sabay sabay kaming napatingin kay Clyde Oliver ng sambitin niya ito. 

Napataas ang aking kilay sa kanyang sinabi, nakita kong iba din ang ngiti ng dalawang kasama ko. He heaved a deep sigh and motioned us to follow him. 

If the exterior of the house sreams richness, The interior is the total opposite, The elegance was humble. The inside was simple. I looked around and saw two maids smiling towards us. 

I smiled back. 

I saw the guards going out of the house again, I guess to roam around? Tumingin ako kay Clyde, he just avoided my gaze. 

“Nasa taas ang kwarto mo”

Agad akong tumango sakanya at sumunod, nag offer pa ang isang kasambahay nila na tulungan kami pero siya na ang nagbuhat ng aking maleta. 

Mukha akong makipag-live in. 

I shoved that thought away and followed Clyde Oliver. 

Ganda ng name, parang yun yong gusto kong name ng mapapangasawa ko.Charot! I chuckled and bit the insides of my cheeks. 

“What’s funny?” He asked suddenly. 

“Mukha mo” sambit ko atsaka tumawa, He smirked at me as we stopped in front of a wooden door. Kita ko kung pano pa siya tumingin sa baba para pigilan ang kanyang pagtawa. 

“Yan kwarto mo” Sabay turo sa pintuan, tumango ako sa kanya at binuksan ito “Here is my room” Tumingin ako sa labas at nakitang nasa harap lang ng kwarto niya ang kwarto ko. 

That would be better, I can look after him better. 

“May pupuntahan ba tayo ngayon?” I asked, kung meron, I could orient the other guards on what to do under my command. 

“Wala” he answered shortly “But, the guards have their own training ground here or whatever you call it. You can join them” dagdag pa nito

Tumango ako sa kanya at ngumiti “Magliligpit lang ako ng gamit at magpapahinga” saad ko 

“Bait mo ngayon ah” sambit nito “sana palagi” 

Agad akong nawala ang ngiti ko sa sinabi niya, Okay na sana eh! Nagiging mabait na ako kasi boss ko na siya, Tas aasarin lang ako. 

Umalis siya sa harap ng kwarto ko ng tumatawa, inis akong pumasok at nagsimula ng mag-ayos ng mga gami. The room is nice, The bed is a queen-size bed covered with white and grey sheets, the room has a small sala set with a Television, a small table, a mini-refrigerator, and a lampshade. I went inside the bathroom and saw that it has a shower with a heater. It also has a small walk-in closet.

When the clock struck twelve, the maid came to my room to call me for lunch. Akala ko pa nga, iba yung table na kakainan namin, pero nagulat ako ng makita ko ang ibang guards sa table kasama si Clyde Oliver. The table was for 6 seaters.

Sa isang kabisera ay si Clyde at sa isa naman ay si Noah, sa side niya ay yung dalawang guard, The seat on Clyde's’ sides was both empty. So I guess I will sit there? 

Ngumiti muna ako sa kanila bago umupo sa tabi ni Kevin at sa isang side ay si Clyde. Kevin offered me the rice which I gladly accepted, Pagkatapos non ay kukunin ko sana ang plato na may ulam ng bigla itong kunin ni Clyde. 

I pursed my lips and twisted it, but then my eyes widened when he started putting the food on my plate. 

Rinig ko ang pagtikhim ng mga kasama namin sa tabi namin. I looked at my plate to avoid some gazes. After that, we continued eating silently. 

“I have a medical mission tomorrow, We will leave at 8 o’clock sharp” 

I cleared my throat and drank my water. 

“Ang aga naman non” I whispered 

My eyes widened when I realized that they were just beside me, so basically they heard what I was saying. I bit my lips and pursed it. 

“We have a problem with that, Savannah?” Clyde asked. 

Is he mocking me? 

“Oo nga naman, Ms. Savannah, hindi ka ba sanay?” I looked at Kevin beside me and said no with my small voice.  

Ibinalik ko ang tingin ko kay Clyde Oliver at nakitang masama na ang tingin kay Kevin. 

“I said call her Elin, understand?” he said with his serious voice. Tumango lang si Kevin at ipinagpatuloy na ang kanyang pagkain. Pagkatapos kumain ay nauna na si Clyde na pumunta sa kwarto niya. 

I looked at the guys who were about to stand up as well, but I stood up and blocked their way. I raised my brows at them and crossed my hands at my chest to show them how I don’t like what they did. 

“Bakit po, Ms. Elin?” nanginginig na tanong ni James. 

“Fixed the table,” I said and they hurriedly went to do that. Except for Noah who looked at me intently first before helping. 

“After that, meet me at the training ground” 

They said yes and continued finishing their first task. Naglakad ako palabas ng kanilang bahay, I even saw other bodyguards who are tasked to roam around and check some of the area. I will talk to their head later. I need to prioritize the ones who will be with him for his whole day. 

I asked for directions from the other guards on the training ground, nakakahilo kasi. Kanina pa ako paikot-ikot pero hindi ko man lang mahanap. Tinignan ko ang kabuuan ng field at nakitang kumpleto ito para sa iba’t-ibang martial arts. 

Sa isang masilong na parte ay kitang-kita ko ang iba’t-ibang workout equipment din. I will wake up early for my workouts then. I bent down to tie my boots properly. I took a handgun from a cabinet, and put some airgun bullets in the magazine. 

Lumapit ako sa isang machine kung saan magpapakita ang iba’t-ibang mannequin na siyang magiging target ko. Gumagalaw ito pagilid at kung saan-saan pa para ma practice ang aim ng mga taong gustong matuto. 

I started running and targeting. Yumuko ako at inasinta ang iba’t-ibang mannequin na agad naman nabutasan o natumba pagkatapos. Pagkatapos non ay agad akong gumilid para isara ang makin, I smirked at the field when I saw that almost most of the mannequins are down or has a hole at their target spot. 

“Wow!”

Tumingin ako sa gilid ko at nakita ang Tatlong Bodyguards na kasama ko, Kevin and James face screams amusement. I bit my lips feeling proud of myself and then I saw Noah rolled his eyes on me. 

Kanina pa to ah?! May problema ba to sakin?! I went near them with a serious face, I gave Noah the gun that I was holding and smirked at him. 

“Your turn, Mr. First lieutenant,” I said with the utmost sarcasm. 

Rinig ko ang paghiway ni Kevin at James dahil sa ginawa ko, nginisian ko si Noah at agad niyang hinablot sa akin ang handgun at humarap sa field. Kevin and James went there to change most of the mannequins, some of the other bodyguards who roamed around the place also helped them.

But my eyes widened, and my lips parted when I saw how fast he aimed and shot the first three mannequins. 

Damn, that was hot.
