A day with you

    Kagaya nga ng sinabi ng Tatay ko ay nandito na ako ngayon at nag-aayos ng gamit ko para dalhin sa bahay nila mamaya.While fixing my things, I saw my sister standing beside my door. I raised my brows at her, but she just avoided my gaze. 

“What?” I asked her

Bumontong-hininga ito at pumasok sa kwarto ko, she walked gracefully to my bed and sat there while still looking at me. 

“Ano ba!” I hissed “You're starting to get creepy, Cassie. Can you please stop staring at me?” I added 

She pursed her lips, so I rolled my eyes at her. Nagpapacute pa. I stared at her long enough for her to stop pouting her lips. She sat beside my luggage and helped me fix my things. 

And pouted, again! 

“Can you please stop pouting?!” I exclaimed, “and please, spit it out!” 

“Okay, Okay!” she said “Nakakalungkot lang kasi, kailan lang tayo nag-meet tapos nagkaroon ng bonding tapos mag-wowork ka na agad.” she sighed again “Tapos sabi ni Dad wala ka daw day-off, Its- “ 

“What?!” I shouted as I cut her off “Wala akong day off? Pano naman buhay ko non, I can’t be with that childish man 24/7!” 

“And that arrogant man! Ghad! He even has the guts to ugh, fight me, I hate him. Ghad” I started ranting nonstop. 

My sister smacked my hand and looked at me with brows furrowed. I pouted my lips and showed her how annoyed I was because I can’t have a day off! Hindi ako makapaniwala na I had to be with him, even in sundays! 

SUNDAYS!

I stood up and marched myself to my Dad’s office. It's Already Monday and I know that he is inside his office. Fuming Mad I opened the door with an annoyed face but immediately regretted it when I saw who was there.

With lips twitching I walked closer to my Dad’s Table. I cleared my throat and sat like a lady beside the table. 

I saw him smirk at me so I had to raise my brows at him again! Ugh, the audacity. 

My Dad cleared his throat to get our attention, I looked at him with a frown. Dapat balance tong araw na to eh.Not that Happy but not that sad. Ganun dapat yung vibes ko today! Pero Cassie really has to say na wala akong Day-off, and now my mood is not balanced, I’m all annoyed and angry! 

I looked at my Father and twitched my lips “I don’t have a day off? Daddy?” I said and did some puppy eyes.

That will always work on my Father. I heard him groan, I pouted my lips again. 

“Shouldn’t you be doing that to me because I will be the one deciding if you got a day off or not?” 

Agad-agad nagbago ang mood ko dahil sakanya, He chuckled and crossed his legs while his other hand rested on the chair beside him. 

He can really be this attractive.

Wearing corporate attire, Red ties look good on him, his shiny shoes, his well man-bunned hair. Damn man, who's your father? I immediately shrugged that thought off when I started to stare at him for too long. 

“You acted like a puppy for a day off?” 

My mouth was left open when he said that, Damn this childish man! Parang nakapa mature niya sa panlabas na anyo pero kapag sa ugali naman napaka childish.  It’s like a child is stuck in an Old man’s body. 

Even though I was pissed, I kept my cool. “I didn’t act like a puppy, I was cute!” I stated. 

Hindi na niya tinago ang tawa pagkatapos kong sabihin yon. I looked at Dad who was also stifling a smile when I said that. How rude. 

“Ow, you too. I think you will like each other!”My dad said 

“Dad!” I said, contradicting what he meant by that 

“Wow, Maka-dad ka parang lugi ka pa saken?” Sabat nito saakin

“Sobrang childish mo talaga! Do you really think that I will settle for someone like you?!” I exclaimed, not minding how hurtful my words would hit his nerves. 

But Instead of getting hurt he just laughed! I looked at my Dad who also burst out in laughter.

“Hindi na ako magugulat bukas makalawa mag-iba na isip ng anak ko sa pagpapakasal”

Hindi nalang ako sumagot sa sinabi ni Dad, I just looked at them laughing together. I just rolled my eyes, again!

“You talked to him about your Day-Off, anak. Siya ang boss mo” sambit ni Dad atsaka ngumiti. 

Kung pwede ko lang ata isigaw na hindi ko siya boss ay ginawa ko na, kaso ay boss ko naman talaga siya. I just looked at him naturally and stood up to walk out of the room, but before I could even hold the door knob his words stunned me. 

“Make it faster, kanina pa ako naghihintay sayo” 

Bakit naman niya ako hihintayin? I mean, I’m an employee. Hindi ko nalang masyadong inisip ang sinabi niya at lumabas na sa opisina ng Tatay ko. Just like what he said, I started fixing my things faster. May hiya pa naman ako sa kanya kasi boss ko pa rin siya. 

May sweldo kaya ako? Kasi diba, I’m working. Hmmmm, tanungin ko nga kay Daddy mamaya. I picked up my LV suitcase and walked out of my Room, saktong paglabas ko ay ang paglabas din niya sa Opisina ng Daddy ko. 

“Are you done?” he asked

My eyes widened. What shocked me the most is that he is nice. I looked at him with narrowed eyes,  Linagpasan niya ako at bumaba na. Ngumuso ako at sumunod na pababa ng hagdan para makaalis na din. I was planning to bring my bike. 

Paglabas ko sa bahay ay nakita ko si Tita Elin na inaayos ang mga halaman sa labas. I smiled while watching her back. I walked towards her direction and hugged her from the back. 

She gasped in shock, I felt her looking at me. 

“Thank you, Tita Elin” I whispered “For accepting and loving Daddy despite what he did to you” I added 

Kumalas ako sa yakap sa kanya, ginawa niyang pagkakataon ito upang humarap saakin at ngumiti.

“You're a sweet girl” she smiled and caressed my face “You show off a fierce face and personality but deep inside you're a sweet girl. It’s okay to keep something to protect yourself, ” she added. 

I smiled at her and bid her goodbye, I saw my Dad waiting with my Sister beside the Main gate. Para namang aalis ako ng bansa neto. I went in front of them and hugged my Dad First. 

“Don’t be too harsh, Words hurt and you cannot take back what you just said” he whispered, tumango nalang ako sakanya at sinunod si Cassie na yakapin. 

“Make sure na walang sabit” agad akong humiwalay sakanya at nakita siyang nakangiti ng kunti sakin “Love hurts, at hindi mo pwedeng turuan ang puso mo.What the hearts wants, the heart gets but It depends on how the mind works” 

Mahina akong napailing sa sinabi niya at kumaway na upang makalabas sa Gate namin, kitang kita ko ang isang black SUV at sa tabi nito ay ang big bike ko. I was supposed to go there with my Big bike! 

“Yan ba sasakyan mo dapat papunta don?” tanong nito sakin, concern was visible on his eyes, I smirked at what I saw and bit the inside of my cheeks. 

“Yes, Sir” I answered “I will patrol around your subdivision at night, so it will be useful to use it this time” I added

Umiwas siya ng tingin sakin at kinuha ang Maleta ko, Binigay niya ito sa isang lalaki na naka all black attire. I guess sila yung makakasama ko sa pagbantay sa isang to?

“Introductions will happen in our house” he stated, seriously. Tumango ako sakanya at sinuot ang isang black Leather Jacket, sinunod ko naman ang pagsuot ng aking helmet. 

Sasampa na dapat ako sa motor ko ng biglang may humawak sa braso ko, Agad akong nakaramdam ng kakaibang elektrisidad sa kanyang paghawak. Dahil sa gulat ay nagbago ang matapang ekspresyon sa malambot. 

“Are you sure that what you are going to ride is safe?” he asked with pure concern in his eyes. 

Tumango ako sa kanya at ngumiti ng kaunti, dahan dahan kong tinggal ang pagkakahawak niya sa braso ko at sumampa. Sinulyapan ko siya at kumindat. 

I laughed when I saw his features changed colors into something red. Did he just blush? I bit the inside of my cheeks. 

“I have been riding this bike since the first year of college, so yes. It’s safe, Mr. Senator” I stated and smiled at him "Go inside the car, and tell your driver to go first. Sa likod lang ako"

He just nodded and went inside his SUV. 

Nang magsimula ng umandar ang kanyang pinaharuthut ko ang sasakyan para tumabi sa bintana niya.

With brows furrowed he opened the window on his side"What are you doing, Savannah Elin!" He shouted. 

I laughed at him. 

"Sana pala sinakay nalang kita"
