LOVE or OBSESSION

1..

I could hear the sounds of swords tearing and piercing into flesh, the racing heartbeats, the roars and feel the heaviness of the air. In fact my heartbeat was the loudest.

I thought I had finally gotten my fairytale or at least just entered into a book of fairytale, when I married my husband Nedan.

But from the noises I am hearing, I knew we were attacked.

I saw my husband, fighting intensely with his opponent. I didn't quite know what happened next but all I could see were hybrids of dead bodies around me. Then the carriage door flew open and I was dragged out by hefty men. What was happening? Then I saw my husband, he knelt on the floor, looking so vulnerable and weak. I wanted to run to him but was held captive.

"You're beautiful, just like the rumors" I heard a voice spoke. My head snapped to it's owner and I was beyond shocked. He's real?

Standing before me was a heavenly handsome but heartless creature. He looked like the description of the devil himself and at the same time, a Greek god from a very beautiful painting. His fiery golden eyes blazed, it was very intoxicating and hard to ignore. His silver hair was damped with sweats and his lips curved up, posing a very triumphant smirk at me.

He lifted his right hand to me and grabbed my chin with his fingers, raising it up for me to face him even more. I was frozen from his touch.

His touch felt familiar but very scary. It was as if, just one touch had paralyzed my entire being, sending shivers down my spine. I shudder at his one touch. I tried looking away, fear and confusion hanging in my eyes, but his intoxicating eyes and one of his hands touching me, had made me totally frozen.

"You will fit for a good entertainment, won't you" he uttered, still wearing that devilish smirk. "What did we do to you? What... What did my husband did to you" I managed to ask. "Just bored and decided to create some entertainment for myself" he said, letting go of my face and heading to my husband's direction. "Nedan!" I cried out, trying to free myself to run to my husband. "Let her go" I heard the heartless creature say, his broad shoulders facing me. Immediately gaining my freedom from their strong hold, I ran to my helpless and weak husband. "Nedan.." I held his face to look at me. " Don't leave me please, not after I have found you" i cried and pulled him into a tight hug, not letting go of him. "Nayla..." He coughed out and I slowly pulled away to look at his face.

"Please take care of yourself for me. I love you Nayla..." I heard him say. My heart broke into many pieces, because I knew he meant goodbye. I refused to let him go.

My knees gave up their strength and I fell to the ground with Nedan lifelessly resting on my chests. I cried my heart out, refusing to accept the scene in front of my eyes.

I didn't get the liberty to mourn my husband because the heartless man dragged me away from my husband and right in front of my very own eyes, he heartlessly slashed him in the stomach and then slightly in his neck, creating a very deep cut.

"Seize her and keep her for me" he then threw me into the hands of those hefty men. "You did well Verin" I heard a woman's voice from behind me and my head snapped to find her. A very breathtaking lady then stood before me. Her beautiful and flawless long hair slapped my face and her smooth thin hands reached for my neck and in a few seconds, I felt strangled.

"Do not strangle her! I need her!" I heard the heartless man who must be the one called Verin spoke.

"Since you have ended her husband, what use do you have of her?" The beautiful lady spoke.

Her voice, filled with confidence and authority, soft, malicious and seductive. It was as if she was seducing him in this situation. "It will be decided as time goes on" the bloodsucker, Verin suddenly walked up to a horse.

"Take care of him, I have something else to do." He said nonchalantly as he looked at my lifeless husband and rode away immediately after getting into the horse.

The hefty men dragged me to a horse and forcefully binded me up.

They threw me on top of the horse and one of the men sat in front of me, while I lay on my stomach, on top of the horse, tied up like a pitiful prisoner. I was a princess who had just became a Queen.

I was in a trance as I realized we were in a very hidden place. It had thorns and sharp branches that formed as flowers, we went further into a very big, i mean gigantic gates and walls. The thorns were growing on those walls like as if the cement of the wall were soils for the thorns and sharp branches that covered the large walls. The gates had sharp arrow shaped knives at the tip of the gates.

The surrounding was quite eerie and scary, but my mind was too foggy to notice that.

Yeah, staring at my surrounding sent even more chills to my already numb body.

The gates flew open and a mysterious kingdom came into view. The people looked quite scary but they all minded their own business. People were mostly dressed in black and they even looked gothic. The soldiers wore these mysterious kind of military wear i have never imagined.

It was pitch black, strong leathey top and trousers, but their amours wear was quite stronger. It was made of thick metal.

We rode even farther, deep into the kingdom.

There, a very hunted looking palace could be seen. It was huge, or rather spacious. As the palace's gates flew open, the spacious premises was decorated with beautiful flowers- orchids, lilies, sunflowers etc, with different colours. There was a tree which stood close, almost besides the palace's gates. The palace was breathtaking. It looked super scary from afar but was paradise-like. The walls were pitch black but the pillars were crystals.

The kingdom was divided into three majestic-like buildings but a long verandah was the only thing that linked these three majestic-like buildings. Because of the separation, there were three premises, which was also decorated with beautiful flowers. I was taken to the third building of the palace.

The tall palace was beautiful but not compared to this third building i was standing before. Being mercilessly dragged inside through the balcony, I saw beautiful paintings, on the wall.

The painting was about the division of the sun and moon.

There were creepy creatures that hide in the shadows of the painting on the moon side, but they looked very powerful.

The sun side on the other hand had paintings of humans doing their own activities while rain poured on them.

The painting was so mesmerizing....
