Don't Give Up On Me

Alpha Nickolas P.O.V.

  It took three days before Riley woke back up. During that time I held in him in my arms when I slept beside him. The first night it took my breath away how right it felt to have his slender form in my arms. His scent surrounded me made falling asleep easy. 

 I took all my meals by his bedside. I even was the one to give him his sponge baths to keep him clean. I would ask for forgiveness from him. I also began to dream aloud about how our future would look like. I just needed two things from him. Him to wake up and forgive my stupid ideals. 

 If I had to leave him alone Carson stayed along with their friends. One time I came into the room to music being played. As the music pumped out of someone's phone in hushed voices they all told stories. Most were about dancing competitions Riley had been in. 

 My heart grew founder of my mate. My omega taking up residence right where he should have been all along. I had one of my pack members go out and get a speaker that the boys said would allow the music to sound better. Robbie said that Riley always wanted one. 

  His body was healed but he was still suffering from the mate sickness. Me holding him as much as I could seem to help. Also just showering my Riley with all the love I had growing for him. My lips found his face peppering all over him except his lips. I was waiting for him to be awake before I went there. I wanted us both to experience it at the same time. 

  By the third day, he had begun to make sounds like he was waking up. But his pretty eyes did not open til it was the fourth day. Only mere minutes into that day. 

 I had been cuddling him when he came through. Still sleepy he snuggled into me. That moment was perfect. But then he regained full consciousness and grew stiff. I knew now the true fight was gonna happen. But I would win. No, we would win. I was gonna fight for us. No matter what he said or did cause most would be based on fear. I would just have to keep reminding myself of that. 

  I pulled back from him allowing him space. His eyes searched me and he looked ready to bolt. Ready to just disappear. I gave him a smile. 

  " You slept for a few days. But Carson and I took care of you. As did Robbie and Seth." I explained. 

  " Why are you here..with me?" He looked confused. 

  " My eyes are now open. My heart is yours if you want it." I said trying for romantic. 

  " Hmm.....I don't know Alpha. How could your mind have changed s fast?" 

  " Seeing you on the ground.:" I began.

  " Can you9 go get Carson"

 " I want Carson." He said his face now holding back any emotion. 

 It made me think that I already messed up. But then I reminded myself I deserved whatever he dished out. But I would hold onto him as hard as I could. I nodded to him then left the room to retrieve my son.
