Chapter 8 She Is a Bartender

Sebastian cocked an eyebrow and stared at Tamara in surprise.

Tamara gave her his phone. "No need to worry, Mr. Lynch. I don’t like having my life planned out for me either. Once the child is born, I’ll leave. Here’s the agreement. Have a look."

Sebastian took the document and skimmed through it. He was still in disbelief. "You’ll leave? Really?"

He always thought that this woman who did whatever it took to marry him would definitely want something from him. However, this woman…

Tamara smiled. Just a simple smile of hers would bring a man to his knees, but when one looked into her eyes, one could see how clear and bright they were. Any impure thoughts they had of her would be cleansed just from peering into her eyes.

"I don’t wish to be anyone’s pawn, nor do I wish to be in a loveless marriage. I believe you would agree with me on this. That’s why I hope we can get along for the next ten months." Tamara put down her phone and looked calmly at Sebastian.

She still had many things she wished to do and didn’t want to waste her time and efforts on Sebastian.

Sebastian got up suddenly, his figure looming over Tamara. His masculine scent wafted through the air, making Tamara blush a bright red.

Tamara's first instinct was to sign, but remembering that Sebastian couldn’t understand her, she hurriedly took out her phone and began to type. Before she could do so, a hand lifted her chin.

Tamara was bright red but suspicious of what Sebastian’s next move was.

What was he doing? Why was he closing in on her?

Up close, Sebastian looked even more handsome. He chuckled and said in a deep voice, "Are you really asking to get along, or are you just trying to get my attention?"

Tamara was speechless.

She slapped his hand away and frowned. Quickly typing on the phone, she wrote, "You’re an egoistic man. I’ll never fall for you!"

Sebastian’s face darkened. "That’ll be for the best!"

He signed the document and returned it to Tamara. She signed her copy under his watchful gaze and typed: "Mr. Lynch, I hope we won’t bother each other in the next ten months."

Before he could react, she left the room.

Sebastian watched her retreating figure. She was poised in her every step. What an interesting woman!

Tamara went back to her room. Just as she sat down, her phone vibrated.

Margot Zimmerman wrote: "Tammy! 1999 just brought in a new batch of drinks. Come and have a taste."

Tamara replied: "I can’t. I’m pregnant."

Margot’s reply was immediate: "What? You’re pregnant? Since when? You sure are speedy! Who’s the father?"

Tamara pursed her lips. Thinking about the new life in her stomach, she couldn’t help but let out a sigh. "I can still have a sip. Wait for me."

Margot responded: "Alright!"

1999 was the most popular bar in Londsville. All the celebrities and top dogs would gather there. Anyone would kill to get in.

Tamara arrived at the bar without any makeup on. When Margot saw her, she greeted Tamara with a bone-crushing hug, but upon remembering the baby growing inside of Tamara, she stopped herself and stared wide-eyed at Tamara’s stomach.

"Wow! There’s a baby inside you!"

Tamara giggled and signed, "Where’s the new batch?"

Margot put on a worried look. "Tammy, I just checked. Pregnant women can’t have any alcohol. I’m afraid you can’t bartend anymore."
