Three years later…
I couldn't imagine that days turned into months and months turned into years. It's been a while and I couldn't imagine three years have passed already after I ran from the people who hurt me. I spent all my years with my uncle Joe enhancing my skills on fighting and making my wolf strong.
“Give me a blow, Little Wolf!” Uncle Joe mocked me as he got the chance to dodge my blow. I was a bit irritated when I heard that childish pseudonym he used to call me when I was a teen.
“Stop it, Uncle! I'm not a little wolf anymore.” I hissed at him.
“I just love to call you a little wolf. Despite the changes I'd seen so far from you, I still couldn't stop calling you little wolf.”
I stopped by what I was doing when I suddenly remembered everything I have gone through with. Three years have already passed, and I spent all my three years training with my uncle here in his very nice place. All those years, I spent my life by forgetting all the bad things that happened to me, including Drake and my family.
It's been a while and I haven't heard about them. I also stopped sneaking at them because I didn't want to hurt myself more.
“Here you are again, Margaux… You are affecting me when you are overthinking!” My wolf, Luna, growled and made me return from my senses. I stared at uncle Joe and saw him smirking.
We were fighting at this moment and this is what we used to do always when Jack wasn't there. Jack and uncle Joe trained me. They taught me everything I needed to know during those three years and now, I know to myself that I have improved so far. I am no longer the weak and desperate Margaux they know. I am so far different from who I was before.
Drake, and the rest of my family members couldn't downgrade me because I am with the new version of myself now.
My wolf and I were getting stronger each day as my uncle Joe and Jack trained us. They've spent their three years taking good care of me. I spent my birthdays with him and with Jack. My life here with my uncle was the happiest moment that happened to me. He took good care of me like I was his real child.
“Margaux… I think you are ready to face the new battle of your life.” I looked around as uncle Joe mentioned those words.
I looked at him and saw his eyes change. There's something in his eyes that I couldn't exactly tell what. I don't know, but I suddenly felt nervous about it.
“Margaux!” Someone called me from the back and I saw Jack. He's still catching his breath as he reaches my direction. He came from the pack.
“What is going on?” I asked both of them. Uncle Joe and Jack were staring at each other first before one of them spoke up.
“There's an emergency back at the pack, Margaux. An enemy from the neighboring pack was threatening an attack by next month, and all the members of the pack were forced to train to fight.” Jack explained, and I felt my world had stopped moving when I heard that.
Mom is what comes into my head. I would never allow something bad to happen to her. After three years of hiding and not checking my mom, I worried about her that much.
“H-how about my mom? Will she be included?” I asked and Jack sighed.
“Yes, she will, Margaux, and I didn't want that to happen.” I looked at my uncle and his eyes filled with sadness.
Uncle Joe loved my mother ever since, but mom chose my dad over him. Out of pain, he fled away as he chose to give way for my dad.
“No! I won't allow them to make my mom fight for that goddamn pack. I will go back to the pack and replace her.” I confidently said, which made them stare at me.
“Are you ready, Margaux? Are you ready to face your mate after three years?”
I took a deep breath from what Jack had asked me. Three years had already passed, and I spent all my years training to be strong.
“What is my training for? Is it because of the man who hurt me and dumped me like I am the most disgusted woman he met, right?” I asked them and they both nodded their heads, which made me smirked.
“So, I know I'm ready to face them. I have to go, Uncle, and I shouldn't waste more time. I will never forget you and once I'm done, I will be back here. Just so you know, this is my home and I would choose to stay here with you, My favorite uncle.” I said smiling.
Uncle Joe smiled and he patted my head. I hugged him for the last time before leaving.
“Don't forget to beat their ass when they tried to hurt you. Bite their asses, Little Wolf.”
I just chuckled from the last words that my uncle had mentioned to me and after that, I ran through the forest to go back to my old pack with Jack beside me.
Hours had passed and finally, we were already at the place where I left my broken heart. Many things had already changed here for the past three years. I almost did not recognize all the way to our house.
“The pack was different from before, Margaux.” I nodded my head from what Luna said.
“Many things had already changed in here the day you left, Margaux,” Jack said, and I just glanced at him.
“Margaux Lightwood, I am glad that you are back.”
I suddenly felt my world turned upside down as I heard that male baritone voice of a man. The way he spoke those words brought an unexplainable chilling effect on my body. My heart was racing deep inside.
His fragrant scent lingers to my nostril. The scent that I wouldn't have expected to smell the first time I went hiding in the forest for over three years.
My wolf inside of me was screaming in happiness!
Yes, she could feel it and I could feel it as well. The man in front of me was no other than—Our mate!
“We found our mate, Margaux! He's our mate! Now let me take over your human form because I want to introduce myself to him!”
However, I've realized that our found mate was no other than the man who broke me into pieces three years ago.
I gritted my teeth as I saw his face, but I couldn't stop myself from being starstruck by his charismatic appeal. Nothing changed from him. He's still the most handsome and tempting wolf I have ever met in my entire life.
“Jace Hayland. Glad to see you again. How's life after you break—”
My words cut when Alpha Jace suddenly pulled me into his tight embrace, and enough for me to smell his fragrant scent, which also makes my heart skip a bit from beating.
My heart was beating so fast that I couldn't even imagine this would be going to happen after three years. I was supposed to be numb, cold-hearted and most importantly, I was supposed to forget him.Jace Hayland. The man who broke my heart into pieces. The man who makes me work so hard each day just to prove to them that I am not weak, and here he is, hugging me like nothing happened.“Let me go.”“You are back, Margaux, and I felt like dreaming,” he said, so I grit my teeth, and before I could be carried away by his charm, I pushed him away. I stared at his eyes with my cold eyes.“Don't ever think I came here because of you. That would never happen. I am here because of my mom and I know what is going on here, Alpha Jace.” I mumble, so he sighs. His eyes narrowed at Jack and I noticed how his brows furrowed. I know he's confused about the two of us.“Why are you with her, Jack?” He asked.“I… I saw her at the forest earlier, Alpha, and I told her about what happened here.” Jack said
It's morning already, so I woke up and did my routines. Thank goodness because Dad didn't throw my stuff here. Maybe mom kept my things and I could say that I was so lucky to have a mother like her.“You have a nice sleep, don't you?” I rolled my eyes when I heard what Luna had said. She's starting to tease me again. However, I just disregarded her and went out of my room just to find my whole family sitting on a long wooden table in the dining area of our house.Dad, mom, and my brothers looked in my direction which made me smile.“Hey, brothers! Don't you have plans to welcome your long-lost sister?” I sarcastically asked, which made them grit their teeth while staring at me. They are about to speak when mom immediately speaks.“I know you're hungry, Darling. Come and join us here.” She said, so I followed her without minding the rest of the family.“So, what's your plan of going back here, Margaux?”I was taken aback by what my dad had asked me. A smile formed on my lips at what da
The kiss makes me feel weak. I hated this feeling. Alpha Jace shouldn't kiss the hell out of me. I have to do something, but I hate to admit that I was almost carried away by his kiss. However, I won't let him allure me.Using my full force, I pushed him away and slapped him in the face.“What was that for?” He asked, feeling annoyed.“You have no right to kiss me. Did you understand that?” I asked, but the jerk just smirked at me. He even crossed his arms like he wasn't affected by my words.“I can't promise you, Margaux. Your lips were tempting me and I honestly… I missed you.” He said that made my hands clenched into fists while my teeth gritted in anger.“The audacity? After everything you did to me, Alpha Jace, you have no rights to touch me. I am telling you that the Margaux before was different because I'm bolder and tougher now. You can't fool me. Not anymore.” I responded in my cold tone.He just stared at me, and I wasn't sure what he was thinking right now. It doesn't matte
The night that I have been waiting for has finally come. I'm all ready for the test later on. While I was preparing my things, mom entered the room and sat on my bed.“Margaux…” I stopped what I was going for a while to face her.“If you are here to stop me, Mom, don't continue that. My plan won't change.” I said that made her sighed.“Your life would be in danger if you are going to fight the Alpha. You have no idea how strong he is.” Mom said in her worried tone, but I just smirked.“I don't care how strong he was, Mom. I'm a werewolf, too, and I trained for three years with someone so close to me. So, there's nothing to worry about.”Mom's brows furrowed because of what I told her. “Who helped you in those three years that you're gone in the pack, Margaux?”“It's not relevant for you to find out about it, Mom. I have to go. Everyone is waiting for me to arrive.” I stopped what I was doing to leave. Mom got up from sitting on the bed and followed me outside the room.“I will always
Darkness would never be the reason for them not to see my transformation. No one dared to speak. Their reaction was priceless, and I already know why. I'm different from the other werewolves. It is because I'm a white wolf.“You had a wolf, Margaux?”Alpha Jace asked my wolf which made Luna smirked. He couldn't believe that I had my wolf.“Yes, I do, and I am Margaux's wolf.” Luna said, and I was only listening to them.“How? We thought you're… Wolf-less?” Nathan asked and I just smirked.“So, what are you doing now, Alpha Jace? Don't you want to test me, huh?”A crook smile formed on my lips at what Luna asked towards the Alpha. I will let Luna take over me now.“Your transformation in front of us was enough. You've proven yourself already, and now you're part of my comrades.” Alpha Jace responded, and both of us gritted our teeth.“Don't act like a coward in front of your people, Alpha Jace. Fight me now. I will show you that you made the mistake of rejecting your mate three years a
Loud knocks from the door awakened me. I checked my alarm clock and then my eyes widened as I saw the time. It's already eight in the morning and I didn't wake up early.I opened the room's door and saw Willow's angry face, which made me smile. “Good morning, Brother.”“What took you so long to wake up, Margaux! The Alpha is waiting for you at the battlefield. You are really humiliating this family!?” He muttered that makes me grit my teeth. I grasped the collar of his shirt and pinned him against the wall.“Do not call me a shame in this family! I still can't forget what all of you did to me before!” I hissed, that made him pale.“You want to kill me? Go ahead, Margaux. Just kill me and let us see whose life is ruined more.”“Don't provoke me, Willow. I don't care if you are my brother because after all, you never treated me as your sister. None of the two of you does, including my father.” I said, but he just smirked. I left him and went back inside the room.“Tell your Alpha to wa
I loved to see the reaction on Alpha Jace's face. Seeing how he was so surprised makes me happy.“I can't do that, Margaux…” He muttered that made me shake my head.“See? You can't even do that. I don't understand why I am still wasting my saliva on you. Talking to you is nonsense.” I muttered, and with that, Alpha Jace sighed.“I can't withdraw from my position because that was very important for me. All the werewolves here are needing me.” He said, and I just looked at him.His eyes seemed pleading with me, but I am numb. I won't give him a chance.“That only means, you are not sincere with your apologies. I just want to let you know, Alpha Jace, that I couldn't forgive you. The pain you have given to me was still there in my heart.” I muttered and turned my head away.As I was walking away from the battlefield, I could still feel Alpha Jace's stare in my back. However, I just continued walking and didn't mind him.“You are being so tough towards our mate, Margaux,” Luna uttered.I
After I talked to the Alpha of our pack's rival, I went back to our pack. As I went out of the forest, I was a bit shocked when I saw Jack and Alpha Jace standing in front, waiting for me. I looked at the back just to make sure that they were expecting another person beside me. However, I was the only one who came out from that forest. What makes me stunned was the thought that both of them even speak altogether.“Where have you been?”That's what they asked me when I was already near them.I shook my head and said, “Does it concern you both?”“Of course! We've been looking for you earlier, but we can't find you. No one from your family knows where you have been!” Alpha Jace seemed annoyed because of me, so I looked at him.“I don't need your f*cking care, Alpha Jace. You shouldn't pretend to care just to clear up what you've done before. Don't bother to ask about my situation and don't worry, I will try to be early tomorrow.”After saying those words, I walked out my feet away from t
