ZANE’S POV

“Can we skip to the important part first, " Damien said after clearing his throat.

He held a herb mortar and I could see a paste in it.

Before now, I was so pissed off at the fact that Aradia was my biological Mom.

Why did it have to be her? Why did Dad and his mate have to wrong Aradia that it turned her into a monster?

I wasn't proud enough to accept the fact Aradia was my biological Mom.

No mother of mine would do all the cruel things she did, but then again I stopped for a second to consider all she went through.

What did it matter, after all, she would have been dead by now and she did specify where she would kill herself.

Nevertheless, I made a mental note to search for her corpse and give her a funeral. She was my mother after all and I had to give her respect, just as Maeve gave her dad his respect too even though he offended her a great deal too.

“Oh yeah. Thanks, Damien,” Lilain rushed to Damien and collected the herb mortar from him.
