Dante POV
It is obvious that Collins mind was made up. Seeing Lillith all filled with anxiety had me really becoming worried. The little time we shared last night proved to me what truly is quite unimaginable; an intense attraction for her."Alright then, we are going to take it gentle with her." Collins said, holding up the Wolf bane in his hands."Collins, we both know she could get hurt." I said, hoping he would reconsider the decision he has made."Would you have me reporting to the directors of your inaction against this group? Remember your importance." Deep down, there was an intuitive feeling that made me believe Collins had a genuine hate Lillith.I watched Collins stretch her hands slashed it open with a knife. The scene was uncomfortable to behold and something I felt a way of resisting. While Collins attempted to use the Wolf bane, Lillth resisted, much to the surprise of everyone."Lilith, I assure you it won't hurt." Collins said. The growl that emitted from her lips afterwards had everyone pulling their guns out, in a bid to shoot at her."Stop! Don't do this!" I yelled, rushing over to her side and raising my hands in plea."Are you out of your mind Dante? Step aside and let's do whats right to this dog." A growl once again emitted from her lips and it had me looking around and realizing the colors of her eyes had changed; an indication her wolf had taken over."Let's have a reconsideration about this." I said once more."Reconsideration? Are you crazy? We have never reconsider killing a wolf before. As a matter of fact, you have always led the killings. Are you too daft to see your sentiment has blinded you?" Collins yelled out.His words triggered a part of me and this propelled me to pull out the guns and aim it towards Collins."Dante? You have gone nuts man!" Steve yelled, seeing the guns in my hands. Meanwhile, Collins smiled pulling off the customary cigerate he had in his hands."I dare you to shoot me Dante. Shoot me because you want to keep your little puppy." The emotional side of me took over, as I forced a slap across Collins face. I pulled the trigger, shooting closest to the grounds were they all stand and eventually holding Lilith hands and running into the woods. While we ran deep into the forest, I could hear the voices of my comrades from behind and right in my front was Lillth, who was surprisingly moving fast; a trait a believe was influenced by her wolf."Where do we go?" She asked, looking completely scared. I held her hands and pulled her into one of the deep branches, where the men wouldn't be able to see us. After a minute, they all ran past us, using the other way."You shouldn't have done that to your friends." Lillith indicated, after a moment of silence. "I know you want to protect me, but I have no use. I don't know who I am, only that I realized I am a Werewolf barely minutes ago." While the logical side was revealing how bad my act was, i couldn't control what was raging through my emotions."I didn't do this because I don't want you dead. I am doing this because I..love you " The words were heavy, but I was glad they came out the right way."Love me? You only met me days ago." Although she had a point, I knew deep within the heart that she would be the first woman to ever capture my heart."Listen Lillth, I love you and that's all that matters to me. I don't care the days we met, I don't care if you are a Werewolf, all I care about is my feelings for you." She stared at me for a moment and while she attempted to speak, gunshots could be heard closed by."Step out of the branches Dante." I groaned in frustration, knowing Collins had found our hideout. "Don't attempt any fowl play this time. We won't hesitate to shoot you." I turned to look at Lillth, who had a special fear built within her at that moment."Just stay down for a moment." I told her and got up to face him."Dante, you should be ashamed of yourself. There are pretty maidens out there that could easily make you loose your senses, but you chose a dog. A dog to fall in love with." Collins statement wasn't bridlled in any form."Don't you call her a dog again." I warned, much to the surprise of the rest of the group."Well, since you have chosen to be so adamant, here is what is going to happen. We are giving you the options of stepping aside or get set to die." Death; the capital punishment given to any Werewolf hunter, who sent against the rules."I hope you are aware that if you die, she would also die as well?" Collins added further. The look on Steve's face showed disappointment, but I was not fazed by any of it."Dante don't do this. Come with us, you are a great hunter and while I would be happy if you are out of the way, I would also be disappointed that you lost your life to a mere dog. I would rather see you die a death of a honorable man." Collins revealed."Please don't kill him." Lillith's voice drew my attention to her. She was out of her hiding as she stepped out fully from the woods. "Take me instead. I have no reason for living. I don't have a memory about anything and even my name, this makes me utterly useless." I stared at Lillith pleading with my eyes not to allow this happen. The sound of gunshot made all my sensory part of my body halt for a moment. I stared at the direction of the sound of gun to see it was from Collins and the bullets had caught on his victim; Lillith.Dante POVWithin every veins of my fibre, anger and rage soared through. The fact that Collins had shot Nadia without no remorse made me loose all sense of logic. "Dante, remember you would be punished if you attempt to assault Collins. Remember thw code rule of the hunting group. Yield yourself peacefully, we don't have to do this with force applied." There was no way I was going bro leave Lillith here. I looked from Collins to Nadia's dead body and in that moment, I knew where my heart lies. "You know what; screw this organization, screw you and every single one that opted to be part of it." I leaned down and picked Nadia up and stared back at them. "I am out of it." From my peripheral vision, I could still see a struggle between Collins and Steve but at this point I didn't care. Walking past several paths in the forest, my intention was to find a means to get back Nadia. It was weird, but I believed she could still be brought back to life. The awareness of other past packs that w
Dante POV I looked up and noticed the man staring down at me in confusion. He rushed over to Lillith's side, who was still unconscious."She has no life." His words fueled my anxiety. Did I do anything wrong? Did I cast the wrong spell? Did he give me the right book? Several questions kept flying through my head. However one main thing reminded constant in my subconscious thoughts; I had possessed strange energy."Listen, we need to do something, I need to help her. It is obvious the Bishap book didn't help." I pleaded to the man, whose name I am yet to discover."I have someone that could perfectly explain the whole situation. I am merely a library keeper, who knows all the books here." Staring at Lillith's lifeless body, I couldn't help but be amazed by her beauty. Even in her subconscious state, she was still very perfect."Lead me to this person you talk about, I beg you." I watched as he rushed over to his counter, pulled up a pen and a paper and scribbled something unto the piec
Nadia POVThe world was quiet for some moment, till my ears began to pick up whispers. I couldn't comprehend what was happening. The whispers increased and after a while, I heard a slight giggle, followed by a groan of frustration.Right before I could open my eyes to comprehend what was happening, a bright light illuminated my face and at that moment, I used my hand as a shield to protect my face. "Happy Birthday!" I smiled, seeing the people that had gathered in my room with several birthday presents. Slowly I got up from the bed as they urged me to snuff out the candle. It was my eighteenth birthday and I had almost forgotten about it. My family were the best and seeing their happy faces light up my day. I cut through the cake and tasted it, feeling it's goodness."So Anabelle, what is your birthday wish?" My beloved sister Rachel asked. She is the life of the house and always had a means to make everyone feel good about themselves."I haven't really thought about anyone." I admit
Dante POVThe world stopped almost the second I laid eyes on the young maiden right before me. There was something about her that pulled me close, but I couldn't lay hands to it. At her left hand, I noticed a dagger and it was apparent she was up to no good. Her pale body, coupled with her long nails gave me the hint that she was a witch."What do you want from me?" I pulled my riffles and aimed it directly at her. She had her hands up in the air, her eyes still holding signs of recognition."What is strange is that I have seen you before and this scene several times." Her statement caught me off guard. I perfectly understood the fact that witches were magical creatures, but I never knew they could speak parables as well."What are you talking about." She was about to explain, when a bright light flashed across the tunnel, almost blinding my vision."Good Job Mr. Taylor, we will take it from here." Adjusting my eyesight to the light, several men had surrounded the tunnel, all with riff
Nadia POVThe entire coven had gathered at the peak of the moon, dancing and singing across the fires of the night. The smile on the face of the queen showed that I would be fully welcomed as one of the witches to the pack. "Tonight, you have shown that you are not only a true witch, but could pose as a warrior as well." The Queen revealed, holding up the head of the witch hunter. "She didn't just bring any head to the coven, she brought to us, the head of a witch hunter. It shows how much bravery she posses and indeed you shall be inducted properly." The next few minutes were spent on rituals and eventually I felt a surge of energy running through my veins, after I had taken a potion given to me by the queen."Welcome to the Coven Anabelle." The rest of the witches all screamed in joy. I could see the smile beaming through my mother's face as she watch the induction go on.Once the ceremony was over, I was left alone heading towards my home, after a hectic day. I dashed to the bedroo
Dante POVI was lost in her eyes, the moment she came out of the woods. I wondered if she was ever stalking me."What are you doing here.. Especially with a dagger in your hands." She dropped her dagger and seemed to be contemplating about something. On a closer look to her demeanor, I noticed she was a little moody; almost in the same manner as someone who was sulking."None of your business." She indicated placing the dagger back into her cloak and attempting to leave."It would have been none of my business initially, but considering I saved your life from the witch hunters, I think I deserve some credits." I revealed with a smile up on my face. She literally rolled her eyes at me, walking casually over to my side with a look of no emotion laced up on her face."Listen to me human, I don't want to have anything to do with your creature and indeed I am truly grateful for your help, which is why I am showing mercy. I had the intention of slitting that throat of yours, the moment I lai
Nadia POVReturning back to the coven, several of the witches gathered at the queen's mansion, while we stepped foot into the building. Murmus and whispers flying around ad they had their eyes set on me.Once we arrived at the chambers, Alina and the rest of the witches left, leaving me alone to confront the queen. I heaved in a breathe and eventually let the chambers open, revealing the queen staring at an art on the wall, with her hands folded behind her. She was all dressed in the royal black robe and she looked effortlessly beautiful."You left the coven with a dagger and despite my order for you not to leave, you still disobeyed me. What does that tells you about your attitude young witch?" She asked making a turn to stare at me, with her usual customary emotionless look."I am sorry. I was engulfed in my emotion. I really needed to take the head of the humans one by one." I admitted honestly."And where did that lead you?" She asked raising an eye brow and chuckling afterwards. S
Nadia POV"I..I.." It was apparent that I had caught her on her tale lies. Her eyes moved around everywhere else but me, possibly searching for something to say."You are stuttering now aren't you? This is because you know I am saying the truth. You lied and thought I would never find out." She sighed for a moment and look up at me with an evil smirk on her face."Of course I did say something about you. We both know that you have a chemistry with the human. It all run through the course of your vein, your hormones cannot resist it and we both know I am not lying." I couldn't contain my fury anymore, in that moment I slapped her across the face, the impact attracting the attention of several witches."You stupid bitch." She launched at me and we both got into serious brawls, pulling at each other's hair. I rolled her towards the floor, trying to get the upper hand, but Imade was pretty much strong on her own accord."Both of you, stop this madness at once!" The queen's voice beckoned
