“HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!”
Joyous shouts were heard as Daniel was awoken by a splash of cold water to his face, courtesy of his excited room mates, including Jake.
“ What is wrong with you people?!” Daniel cried out in annoyance as he wiped his face with his hands. “Have you all gone insane ?”
“Dude, forget that." Segun laughed as he returned the now empty container. “ That is how supposed to be for the celebrant. You should be happy that its only us in this room that know about your birthday. Otherwise you would have received a cold bath outside”
Daniel sighed in annoyance as he examined his now wet bed.
“Just take a look at this." He grumbled. “Even you, Jake. Don’t worry, your own birthday is next two weeks.”

“ This party is the bomb!!”“Nice one,Daniel. You tried."These were random chants made at Daniel’s way as he relaxed by a table at the beach The cake had been cut and shared and everyone made sure they had their share. “Doctor, how is his condition?” Daniel asked a woman who had just come out from the ward. She was wearing light spectacles and a lab coat. And she looked like she was in her mid 40s. The crew had arrived at the hospital just in time and Jake was rushed in for treatment. His parents were notified by Esther and they quickly arrived like the speed of lightening. So far, there was no ounce of happiness or excitement in the room. Mrs Adewale was seated on a chair, sobbing gently. Esther sat beside her and put an arm around her in a comforting fashion. Mr Adewale sat at the other end of the chair and supported his chin with his clasped hands, a thoughtful look on his face.
