Chapter 19
Tomiwa stood rooted to the spot, stunned. She couldn’t believe what she just heard. Were this guys serious or were they messing with her?
“I told you that you won’t believe this.” Daniel sighed and then turned to Annabelle. “See?!”
“Wait.” Tomiwa said as she shook her head vigorously to come back to reality.
“ Let me get something straight. I may get the whole part of Jake and Daniel’s mum being kidnapped or some kinda stuff like that. But you?!!”She concluded staring at Annabelle. “You can’t be a vampire. For Christ sake, they are nothing but a myth!!”
“I know it’s hard to take in.” Annabelle sighed sadly. “ But it’s true”
“Prove it.” Tomiwa said disapprovingly. This sounded like fairytale to her. What next? Zombies exist too?
Annabelle sighed and disappeared in a whoosh making Tomiwa jump in fright. She was left alone with Daniel who had an amused look on his face.

“Doctor, how is his condition?” Daniel asked a woman who had just come out from the ward. She was wearing light spectacles and a lab coat. And she looked like she was in her mid 40s. The crew had arrived at the hospital just in time and Jake was rushed in for treatment. His parents were notified by Esther and they quickly arrived like the speed of lightening. So far, there was no ounce of happiness or excitement in the room. Mrs Adewale was seated on a chair, sobbing gently. Esther sat beside her and put an arm around her in a comforting fashion. Daniel leaned forward and rested his hands on the cool tiles of the wall as the water cascaded down his body. He sighed in relief and satisfaction at the moderate temperature of the water. Neither hot or cold. He was currently at home taking his bath as he didn’t think going back to school was necessary. A lot had happened from his time in the hospital to now. Luke paced around restlessly in his abode. It had been two days since he sent Chris and Angela to escort the rest of the coven. If his calculations were correct, they should be here by now. He moved to the window and glanced out. The night was still young as the streets was still buzzing with activities. Tomiwa sighed tiredly as she put on her nightie and sat in front of the dressing mirror to comb her hair. Today had been the most embarrassing day of her life. Tisha had the nerve.
