Author's Pov

"This is the last fucking time I am tolerating you being late, Scott!" Sebastian's stern intimidating voice entered Scott's alert ears making him gulp down.

Scott looked at him wearily, "I am sorry, boss, I was with Mr. Wayne that's why--" Sebastian held his hand up shooting him a blank glare.

"Don't give me excuses! I want a progress that's it! No matter even if it's my father you have to be at work on time I wouldn't tolerate this negligency and carefree attitude again otherwise it wouldn't take a second for me to strip you of your position! " Scott nodded right away knowing very well not to fuck up with this twisted man.

Sebastian waved his hand telling him to get lost which the fanatic man instantly did. Sebastian has been handling the company for the last three years but he has held the position of CEO only a few months ago, and indeed his work has escalated as well. If the young man was hard to deal with before now he was the worst of all kinds. He was brutal, ruthless, and had zero compassion toward others.

He doesn't take any kind of excuses to skip work, as per his exact words, "Even if you're on a death bed, your family member is dying or you have lost the ability to walk, talk or whatever is happening with you, you can't skip the day without my permission or a proper leave procedure otherwise you all are welcome to find a new job because in Wayne enterprises you're expected to work and just work."

The man wasn't just an ambitious leader but also a galled veteran, none of the employees had ever seen a slight view of him smiling, all they were familiar with was his hard and cold expressions and the moment the man falls silent with the rigid face they know what is coming for them.

He has already fired a lot of employees for their ignorant and careless behavior, even though Smith Wayne wasn't much compassionate ruler as well but the employees are forced to accept that yes, that old man was still better than his odious son.

Sebastian's fear dwelled in everyone's heart, even Scott was hell scared of the man who was far younger than him in age, even though in physique wise he looks more mature than Scott. Sebastian might be cruel but after he joined the company they progressed a lot. The young man knows well how to deal with investors.

There was only one deal that was left in Smith's hands, the tender that he had with Ander Hayes but after he was done getting the tender along with Hayes' company the old man decided to retire leaving everything under his son's supervision. He has a faith in his son that Sebastian can handle everything now on his own.

With glasses dangling over his nose he read the lines written on the agreement, he pursued his lips displeased by the new offer, the presentation wasn't good and now even the offer lacked many things. He shook his head closing the file and placing it on the table, before grabbing the phone receiver in his hand.

"Sir," His secretary voiced shakily dreading what this insane man wanted now.

"Tell Della's Company that we are not interested in the offer. And also bring the file that I asked for an hour ago." She sighed in relief.

"Yes, sir. Right in a minute." She abruptly replied making Sebastian put the receiver back and again get lost in his work.

His personal phone suddenly started ringing making him look at the I'D only to find his father calling him. He frowned, his father never disturb him during his work hours. Hopefully, everything is fine. He picked it up.

"Yes, dad." A knock on the door was heard and his secretary appeared. Removing his glasses and placing them on the table he motioned her to put the files on the table and get out which she wordlessly did.

"Sebastian I need to talk to you about something important! When are you coming back?" Sebastian scowled in confusion hearing anger mixed with irritation in his father's voice. He could sense how much his father was trying to keep his voice calm and steady.

Something was definitely not alright. "I still have a little work left dad, I will be back maybe," He paused looking at the clock on the wall.

"In the next hour or maybe two hours." Smith sighed humming in response.

"If it's too important you can tell me right now," Sebastian asked in curiosity.

"No, just do your work, I'll be waiting for you." Sebastian wanted to refuse him as he didn't want his father to wait for him till midnight but he could sense the solemnity behind his father's vexed tone.

"Alright, dad." With that, he hung up staring at the wall with narrowed eyes.

His father sounded unusually neurotic, the unbothered organized man like his father never faced any trouble during his rule, his father was the biggest inspiration for Sebastian. He had seen the aspiring man gaining so much in a small period and it never mattered to him if the ways he was using to acquire anything had been ethical or unethical. If he wanted something he gets it either with right or wrong.

Sebastian wanted to become like his father but a little more than that too, that's why he has built himself in a way that people will tremble in fear even at the mention of his name. And he proudly can say that he has succeeded in doing so, the way none of his workers or anyone in his circle has the strength to even look into his eyes shows how much they fear him. It gives him a weird kind of satisfaction, a sense of superiority and he damn loves it! He loves the dominance he has over the people, he loves seeing the fear dwell in their veins for him. And that's what he ever wanted.

After finishing his work he decided to retire from the company, it was nearly 1 am in the mid of the night and he kind of expected his father to fall asleep but to his surprise, the old man was still waiting patiently. Smith looked up hearing a hushed sound of his son's footsteps approaching his sat figure.

Sebastian raked his eyes all over the place and was perplexed seeing the lights of the whole house switched off, only one blub was on where his father was sitting, and the furnace still had a fire burning in it providing warmth all over the room. The light noises of wood slabs being burned were echoing in the background as the young lad took a seat on the couch facing his tensed father.

Smith had a wine glass in his hand taking slow and steady sips from the lethal substance before looking up at his son who held his chin up fixating his gaze on his messed-up father.

"Dad, what happened?" He inquired calmly earning a light sigh from his father.

"This happened," Smith mumbled pointing at the file laid on the table between them. Sebastian's eyes caught the sight of the motionless tiny file that was the sole spur of his father's tension.

Unhurriedly he grasped the slim file and opened it calmly reading it, and the title of the file was enough to spread vexation all over his head, his eyes started burning with disapproval reading further.

Ms. Bellaria Hayes accused Mr. Smith Wayne of misrepresentation of the agreement and falsely taking signs of the late Ander Hayes.

He silently read the whole case she has filed on his father keeping his face calm and steady but the anger was still bubbling in his veins wanting nothing but to destroy that little vixen. The audacity that girl has! Finally reading the whole material he placed the file back on the table before looking at his father with raised eyebrows.

"Leave her to me. I will deal with her." He proposed making Smith Wayne smile at his son shaking his head.

"No Sebastian, we can't kill her, it will put us in a more complicated position than we already are in." Smith let out a timorous sigh making Sebastian lean forward placing his elbows on his knees and glaring at the carpeted floor.

"Aside from wiping her away what's there left? " He asked raising his burning glare.

"Two options, one is we can give the company back to her and finish this unwanted enmity." Sebastian chortled shaking his head. He would never compromise on his big fat ego, never!

"Absolutely not! Second option." Smith's lips curled into a twisted smile expecting this response from him.

"If she signed the papers of taking the case back we can be saved from going to court. Once the case will be taken back, the property will be ours, and no one will even know that she had ever filed a case against us." Smith sighed heavily taking a sip of the hazardous drink.

"But the problem is her obstinacy, I met her in the morning. She's a disrespectful, ill-mannered, and stubborn girl. I don't think she will sign these papers." Sebastian narrowed his eyes at his father hearing his words.

"She disrespected you?" It was hard to believe that any woman will have such audacity and authority to actually disrespect Smith Wayne. This thought once again displeased him. This girl was making him detest her without even seeing her.

"Forget about that for now, we need to deal with this new problem here," Smith said avoiding the question as he knew if he told Sebastian about all the disrespectful remarks that girl made will anger Sebastian even more.

Sebastian's lips curled up into a lopsided smile as he steadily turned his glowing grey eyes towards the burning fireplace, the fire mirrored his sharp hawk orbs letting the flames picture in them before he imagined the wicked deeds he was planning for that adamant girl.

"What was her name again?" He questioned still keeping his aflame gaze fixed on the burning woods.

"Bellaria Hayes." Sebastian hummed letting his orbs dilate due to the intensity of his stare.

"Bellaria," He whispered before his deviant smile broadened.

"Be assured Dad, I will deal with her. She has to sign these papers. I will make sure of it." His deep dark tone and psychotic fixated gaze kind of disturbed Smith as well. But shaking his head he focused on the words his son uttered and a small egoistic smile broke out on his lips.

He hummed in relief before finishing his wine glass and retiring to his room to have some sleep leaving the madman behind. Sebastian stared at the burning woods for the longest time till the fire completely disappeared and there were no slabs left to burn anymore.

Narrowing his grey sharp eyes he leaned his back against the couch before clasping the file in his hand. He stared at the place where her signs were needed before chuckling like the devil he is.

"Bellaria, watch your back darling, you've got a devil behind you."
