Chp-7

Author's Pov

Sebastian's raging gaze got replaced with a confused and surprised one, he didn't expect to see this enchantress here. In short, he didn't even wish to see her again after all the way she was playing with his head like a vicious siren he wanted nothing but to forget her. The moment he engrossed himself in the work, the images of her standing near the bus stop, looking like an innocent seraph who was driving the odious demon crazy. There was something in him that wanted nothing but to protect her, hide her, and swipe her away from every evilness.

He once again went into a daze after seeing those ocean pearls, those bright yet innocent ones who did nothing but snarl at him each time. He should be annoyed by the fact that she's damn obstinate, he should hate the way she discards his dominance but instead, he feels attracted and drawn to her even more. And he fucking hates that. His train of getting lost in her thoughts broke hearing her melodious voice spitting out venomous words.

"What happened? Why is this man so mad at you?" She said pressing the words 'this man' her disrespect didn't go unnoticed by him.

Bella at first was stunned seeing the same veteran in front of her who she vowed to curse for her whole life, but soon her surprise changed into irritation. God is really testing her patience now, the more she hates the sight of this man, the more God is pushing him in front of her. God forbid, in anger if she ended up doing something which she shouldn't then it shouldn't be her fault.

The egoistic look on his face and the confidence oozing out of his body language irked her to no end, the man was standing tall and firm like he hadn't done such a ferocious deed last night. The way he wronged her, manhandled her and even coerced her signs flashed before my mind. She wanted to hurt his ego, she wanted to insult him badly. And that's what she did.

Turning her head towards the shaken-up girl who still was shedding pitiful tears she let her mouth drop those disrespectful words like a poisonous sting at his ego. Her insides flared at the look he gave her after she disrespected him brutally having no fear of him having superiority over her professionally.

His gaze steadily hardened after registering the meaning behind her words, his hands unhurriedly fisted tightly glaring at her in silence, his aura turned extremely dark and deadly. Everyone around him shuddered after seeing the look in his eyes but Bella choose to ignore the vexed lad.

"B-Boss is having a meeting with another party. M-Mr. Wayne's appointment is at 11:30 sharp and it's still 10 minutes earlier." She whispered with a trembling tone.

Sebastian didn't even look at the miserable girl, he kept his dark glaring eyes fixed on the fearless colleen who was doing nothing but boost his annoyance with each second by her nonchalant attitude. Bella steadily turned her blue eyes which were slightly garnered by redness under them.

"You can wait by sitting in the waiting area Mr. Wayne. We are not allowed to mess with the schedule." She professionally stated, but it was the last string of Sebastian, his patience limit gave up at the disrespect he was getting from these low-class workers, especially if it was her he just feels a need to step over her each time. Her stubbornness irate him.

They were only a step away from each other which was removed by Sebastian who took an extremely slow step towards her making her flicker her eyes at him in surprise. Gazing devilishly into her eyes he expected her to step away from him or even show a little nervousness in her but nothing.

Bella for a second felt a fire of reluctance and discomfort when he stepped forward but remembering everything he did to her last night her little fear got replaced by hatred and vexation. She wanted to stay firm in front of him, this time she wouldn't let him have the joy of stepping over her.

Maintaining fierce eye contact they both tried to kill each other with their eyes, Sebastian's hands were itching to touch her and teach her a proper lesson. He wanted to bury his fear deep in her veins but right now he couldn't risk the possibility of tarnishing his reputation. Leaning his face impossibly closer to her he gritted his teeth.

"You're going to regret this!" He sneered lowly in a threatening manner, she wouldn't lie his tone indeed scared her and fasten her heartbeat in fear but she held her stern look on blinking once before completely ignoring him, she walked back to her spot.

Everyone around him watched the raging man and not wanting to get on his bad side they all sprinted to their original positions, Sebastian ignored everything around him and smirked watching the couch that faced her reception area. Letting himself be seated on the couch spreading his arms on its head before fixating his gaze on the girl who narrowed her eyes at him in pure irritation.

His intense unmoving glare got fixed over her conscious frame, Bella was completely annoyed and uncomfortable by the way he wasn't even blinking while looking at her. But keeping a blank look on she started working on the register trying to discard the vibes she was getting from his weird twisted glare.

Slowly his intense glare turned into a look of enchantment, he lost the reason why he was even sitting there and glaring at her, instead, her tiny frame made him lose himself while gazing at her. Her tight ponytail and bare innocent face earned his interest entirely. The way she had nothing on, not even a light lipstick still those dry pink petals tempted him to no means.

His lost train of thought got broken the moment that pitiful trembling girl stepped near him vocally informing him that it was his time of meeting the boss now, Sebastian blinked coming out of his unsettling thought. Suddenly a wave of mixed emotions hit him, he hated the way he was feeling toward her. Feeling immensely upset at himself he cast a last glance at the unbothered girl before rushing towards the owner's room.

Bella on the other side heaved out a sigh of relief when finally he was out of her sight, his intense stare and stubborn glare were making her nervous. It was a fortune that she didn't show one ounce of fear to him this whole 10 minutes otherwise God knows if he would stay any longer she would definitely have tried to hide away from that animal.

She steadily took a seat on the stool and blew out a stressed breath before again turning her attention toward her work. It had just been 5 minutes since the barbarian had gone to her boss' room when his secretary stepped forward to her.

"Ms. Hayes. Boss is asking for you." Her eyes flickered with confusion for a few seconds before realization started seeping into her.

You're going to regret this!

His voice echoed in her head finally making her register the childish step that a grown man has taken, she chuckled shaking her head in disbelief. Did he really complain about her to her boss? Is he that adolescent that he literally complained against her just to make her feel inferior to him?

She internally scoffed at the man's behavior before nodding at the secretary who looked confused at Bella's disbelief look, finally gathering her strength she decided to just go and face whatever trouble that spineless man has created for her.

She gently knocked at the door getting permission from her boss right away, she stepped in only for her blue eyes to collide with familiar cold grey ones. He wasn't glaring at her like he used to but right now his emotions were different which she found extremely hard to decipher. Ignoring his existence she turned to her boss.

"You asked for me?" She professionally started earning a disappointed look from the aged man.

"Ms. Hayes. It's your first day and you already have started insulting my guests." He said slightly raising his voice.

She bit her inner cheek trailing her eyes towards the man sitting a little away from her boss, his lips suddenly curved up into a cold smirk showing her what kind of a bastard he is! He was exactly what she ever had considered him to be. Egoistic, jerk, and self-centered asshole.

"And who I might have insulted sir?" Her ears vibrated with a mocking scoff coming from the egoistic man.

"Mr. Wayne had been waiting out for 10 minutes. 10 minutes Ms. Hayes! Do you even know how important he is to our company? How dare you kept him waiting!" Her boss said smacking the table, Bella didn't much react as she already knew he was trying to make Sebastian happy.

She again snapped her eyes towards the smirking lad who seemed completely apathetic of any kind of compassionate emotions towards her. Her boss might want to give him joy but Bella wasn't ready to let him have it

"We are workers sir. I have a job to keep up with the schedule given by your secretary and that's what I did." She replied truthfully without showing one bit of sadness at how her boss was treating her. She witnessed how her boss cast an anxious glance at Sebastian.

"Apologize to him! Right now!" He ordered.

"For what sir?" Bella rejected his order.

Sebastian's smirk slowly subsided as he stared at the girl reaching his limit of control, his hands turned into tight fists, as he kept on glaring at her gritting his teeth. Her boss gulped as soon as he saw how angry Sebastian looked.

"You kept him waiting young girl! Apologize right now!" He groaned almost yelling at her. Indirectly he was trying to end this mess by satisfying Sebastian's ego, he didn't want Bella to get hurt. But seeing her obduracy he was getting scared for her.

Sebastian Wayne was like lava hidden inside a cave but only until he reaches the last limit of his patience. And right now it seemed like he will burst out.

"I just did my job, sir. I don't find anything wrong with what I have to apologize." She calmly replied and that was it for Sebastian.

He punched the arms of his chair before abruptly standing up from it and taking fast long steps toward her. Anyone in her place would have stepped back seeing how much angry and raged up he looked but she didn't.

Even though her hands started shivering. She had to fight with everything in her to not step back, Bella fisted her hands hiding them behind her thighs, She kept her head high maintaining eye contact with him. Even though fear was clawing at her chest but she wasn't ready to back away, she just wouldn't let him step over her. Again!

She didn't even flinch when he stood in her personal space, the edge of his shoes touched hers leaving less than an inch difference between them. He leaned his head down a little so he could come face-to-face with her.

Blazing grey eyes against cold Blue ones.

"Do you have any idea who am I?!" He gritted out with his jaw clenched, his hands were aching to just strangle her right now, to suck the life out of her. In his whole life, he was never insulted this much. Or maybe no one has bruised his ego this much, he was used to having control over people, not the other way around.

Bella kept intense eye contact keeping her head high, no matter how much her heart pumped in her ears, she wasn't ready to let her fear take over her today. And that's what she did. Badly hitting over his ego once again she let out.

"I don't and I don't care!" She replied sneering right at his face which didn't fail to burn his insides.

Sebastian narrowed his eyes at her before his calloused hand held her slender arm in a harsh grip roughly yanking her near him, Bella hissed slightly widening her eyes at the close proximity. She gritted her teeth placing her hand over his that held her arm.

Seeing the exchange her boss instantly stood up from the seat gulping down, that was what he was fearing the most. He didn't want Bella to anger Sebastian beyond the limit. And seeing the way he was holding her, he indeed had lost his patience with her.

Sebastian cranked his neck to come extremely closer to her face resulting in the tip of his nose slightly brushing hers. His grip had forced her to tiptoe just to match his face level, he applied more pressure on her arm making her internally hiss. Finally gathering herself together her face once again turned completely blank.

"Apologize to me. RIGHT NOW!" He growled making her boss gulp in fear but Bella held eye contact intact.

Bella chuckled at his attempt of scaring her, his growl and even painful grip on her arm was nothing against the damage his family and he had done to her. The more she remembers the ruination he had done to her last night, the deepest her abhorrence goes for him. She mockingly smiled at him.

"If being honest in your work is a mistake. And to satisfy a spoilt brat's ego I have to apologize then fine Mr. Wayne. I am sorry for being sincere in my work and hurting your little ego."

Her words hit him where she wanted to ambush him, Sebastian would have felt better if she had only said three words of apology but her words burnt him even more. His ego, his pride, and every inch of his self-conceit got badly hurt by her constant backfiring.

The fire in her eyes, the bravery in her voice. Everything was hitting his ego and incalculable pride. His grip on her arm turned painfully tight, she felt like it will break anytime, she clenched her jaw twisting her arm to get him off her.

"Let me go!" She hissed right into his face finally freeing her arm from his grip.

"You're fired, Ms. Hayes. Sir, please relax." Bella didn't care even the slightest bit about being fired.

She was satisfied seeing the big bad alpha's ego getting hurt by a nobody like her. Smiling like losing her job didn't affect her but instead seeing him looking pretty restless indeed satisfied her. Shooting a last glance at him she stepped out of the office not even trying to bargain to keep the job.

Sebastian glared at the door she just closed after disappearing from his sight, it was so hard, so damn hard to not teach her a lesson for disrespecting him but not wanting to take this too far he let her go, if only she was alone with him, he would have shown her the monster she wasn't familiar with.

"Mr. Wayne--" Sebastian held his hand up gritting his teeth.

"I don't want to see that girl's face in this company again." He ordered making the man nod his head right away.

"You wouldn't sir I promise." The man sighed in relief when Sebastian sit back loosening the tie around his neck.

"Start the fucking meeting." He took several deep breaths to calm himself down. But even during the meeting, there wasn't even a second when he didn't think about her.

Her glaring blue eyes, her fierce gaze, that unseen bravery, her obstinacy. Everything about her kept on replaying in his brain, there wasn't a second when he didn't feel lava burning in him. The lava of resentment, ego, and desperation. He wanted to destroy her, he wanted to see fear in her eyes for him, he wanted to break that stubbornness, that indigestible bravery. Everything about her aggravated him, he wanted to destroy her so badly.

While on the other hand, the moment Bella stepped out of the company she heaved out a heavy breath giving a helping hand to her trembling knees. Her hands and legs were still slightly trembling because of the anxiety she felt the moment he manhandled her. Being touched by a man was something Bella has never experienced.

She was sheltered by her father her whole life, even during her high school and college time she never interacted with boys, and not even a single boy had ever proposed to her as well. And she also never felt the need to build a serious relationship yet. She wanted to complete her studies and help her father with his business before entering into such a serious relationship but her every plan got tarnished the moment Wayne's decided to crash into their lives.

And each time that vicious barbarian touches her she feels like someone has scorched her, she hates his touch, his ignorance towards others' comfort level and private space. She hates the way he considers himself a God. It was so hard to stand in front of him and not slap him the moment he laid his hands on her.

It was such a task of 'do or die' to be strong in front of that ruthless beast, fear didn't for once leave her heart but she didn't let it overpower her. She didn't even notice when she reached the beach and let her thoughts be swayed away by a beautiful wind that caressed her warm cheeks. She tightened the shawl around her shoulders before staring at the beautiful blue water of the sea which resembled the color of her eyes.

Her father used to call her ocean eyes, she had the exactly same eyes as his adorning the rest of his features as well, people call her the replica of her father for a reason. She had the same features and shape as her father's but the only difference was her hair, she had taken over her mother's fiery red hair.

Her mother had light brown eyes which Sarah inherited. Their father was one of the most handsome men in his young days while her mother used to be called an innocent fairy because of her soft looks. Their couple was like a match made in heaven. And their family was complete, a beautiful one to be precise.

"Was," Tears once again started leaving her tired eyes when she realized how the way she used to say 'I have a beautiful family' to 'I had a beautiful family'. That 'was' hurt the most.  She was tired of crying but the traitor tears just don't know how to stay back, she took a deep breath wiping her cheeks and sniffing in the process.

She wasn't strong she knew. But she wouldn't let the people walk over her as her father let. She wouldn't trust anyone anymore except for her family and James. Her trust issues had become too serious for her to even think of trusting someone anymore.

James. She remembered how that guy called her and was ashamed that he wasn't able to help her. But she knew it wasn't in his hands too, he was just as helpless as she was. James was just a mere employee who had no authority against Wayne, she could never blame him. He did everything he could to help her, he even warned her but she was too foolish to think she can compete with those animals.

She closed her eyes tilting her head up a little and letting the sun fall on her pale face. The smiling face of her father, sister, and mother flashed before her eyes making her smile as well. For them, she needs to be strong, she is the only one left to hold her remaining family up. She can't become weak, she's the shoulder her sister and mother can lean against for support.

She exhaled a deep breath before unlatching her bright eyes and checking her wristwatch, it was time for her second job. She once again cursed that odious man for getting her fired from her job on the first day, now she had to find another job. The pay for this job was really good but the ego of his has ruined everything.

Finally gathering her strength she walked towards her next destination not knowing what her bravery has started.
