Chp-2

Author's Pov

"Man you gotta head back to the party, your father arranged it, especially for you." A young man exclaimed getting out of the car and following his obstinate friend.

A young lad with doting grey eyes narrowed his gaze letting the sun blind his vision for a few seconds, he rounded his orbs in annoyance before leaning against the car, swinging the beer can in his hand he chugged a good amount of toxic drink down his throat. Letting out a throaty grunt he nodded his head in approval.

"Darren fucking let me have some alone time in peace!" His deep raspy voice hit his friend's earbuds making him exhale a tired breath.

Shutting up he stood beside the slightly drunk man watching the beautiful view in front of him with bored eyes, Darren had no idea what has gotten into his friend's mind so he decided to leave the party that his father held only in his honor. The stubborn lad took the car along with his beer can and drove to this place.

Beech. Weird! The egoistic obstinate man Darren used to know was never a party pooper, he always loved partying and getting wasted but something today seemed different in him, he looked disturbed.

"Sebastian, is it again about that businessman?" Darren inquired getting a slight idea of why the ignorant man looked beyond heckled.

Sebastian paused with his hand still in the air as he was ready to take another sip from the venomous drink, but Darren's words took him for a surprise. He tilted his head to the side shooting him a dangerous glare.

"Let me be in peace for some time will you?" He snapped making his friend raise his hands in a surrendering manner, Sebastian again turned his head to the front, and indeed Darren wasn't wrong.

He was still disturbed by the commotion he witnessed yesterday, he didn't want to but he was still feeling a tingling sensation of remorse in his veins, the way that man lost his life right in front of Sebastian's panicked eyes was something new to him.

Sebastian was indeed a famous bad boy who was feared by many, but the young man never had his hands painted with anyone's blood but yesterday was something unusual yet disturbing to him.

Shaking his head he finished the drink throwing the can on the sand, it's no one's fault, he died that's it! It was his time, none is to be blamed but himself. His naivety and blind trust in people have caused his death.

Clearing his mind he comforted himself that whatever happened had been done, nothing could undo it so it was better if he just moves on and focuses on his life, that idiot man died because of his foolishness. No one's to be blamed.

"Let's go." Darren instantly nodded walking back towards the car followed by the rugged man, but suddenly his grey calculative eyes fell on something or more precisely on someone.

His feet paused on their own watching an extremely pale petite girl kneeling on the sand staring at the ocean with deep interest and damn she indeed caught his full interest as well. His delighted glowing eyes raked all over her finding her in a dark purple dress with a black shawl wrapped around her shoulders.

She was a redhead and her shimmering crimson hair was tied up in a messy bun, she looked sad, so damn agitated that Sebastian couldn't help but wonder what actually happened to her? Tears were still caressing her cheeks while her eyes were stuck on the beautiful seawater.

Suddenly he felt the need to see those eyes, he wanted to see what color she had engraved in her sad eyes, the young man was so lost in watching her standing up and walking back to the roadside that he didn't even notice his friend giving him a weird look.

"Dude!" Sebastian flinched turning towards frowning Darren,

"What's wrong? Let's go." Sebastian once again turned his head towards that girl only to find no one there, he let out a frustrated sigh before shooting an annoyed look at his confused friend.

"What?" Darren asked not getting why he was so irritated by his words. Sebastian finally shook his head discarding the curiosity that he was having about that girl. Entering his car he again stared at the place where she disappeared before finally forgetting about her.

Meanwhile

"Cheers." A loud cheerful hoot echoed in the decorated room earning a row of gleeful laughs from the guests present there. The man smiled down at his wife securely embracing her with his arm.

"Wayne Enterprises won once again!" Smith Wayne loudly claimed raising his wine glass for a toast which was instantly reciprocated by the people present in the room. He clinked his glass with his grinning wife getting congratulations from the guests.

While receiving the greetings from the upper parties he looked around to find his one and only son but he was nowhere to be seen, Smith looked at his wife nudging her to ask her about Sebastian, and she smiled before gesturing him towards the main door.

And there the young man entered the venue holding a stoic face, he looked around and a small smile tug over his lips as soon as his sharp gray eyes collided with his dad's. Approaching the old man Sebastian kissed his mother's cheek before standing in front of his father.

"My pride. Where were you? I was waiting for you." Smith Wayne said patting his son's shoulder who shrugged off blandly.

"Nothing Dad. I was with Darren. Congratulations on winning the new tender." He said smiling at his father who nodded his head with a wide grin of no shame. Smith held his wine glass up once again while pointing at his stiff son.

"Let's make a toast, for the new CEO of Wayne Enterprises. My pride. My son. Sebastian Wayne."

Smith Wayne lark loudly grinning like a maniac, everyone did a toast for Sebastian who grabbed the wine glass from the waiter and raised his hand as well, after the attention was distracted from him, he excused himself from his parents and walked towards the bar.

Even though some unusual thoughts were messing up his senses but now after reaching the party and seeing the smiling faces of his parents he knew there was nothing left to be worried about. He simply cleared his mind and focused on his drink, while enjoying the toxic substance his glaring eyes roamed around only to stop on a particular girl.

His eyes raked all over her body and damn! He wouldn't deny how sexy the girl was. She was staring at him like she couldn't wait to have a taste of him and well who could resist such a tempting handsome man?

And being the biggest playboy he is. Why would he reject such an open invitation? One hot night wouldn't hurt anyways, plus he needs a strong distraction from all the useless thoughts he has been having from yesterday. Smirking devilishly at the girl he bit his lower lip watching her caressing her revealed inner thigh seductively.

They both burned their lusts higher by keeping intense eye contact and making smooth moves of seduction, Sebastian didn't do much after all most girls die to even have him look in their way, so getting his attention was the biggest temptation for her.

Sebastian's lips curled up into a lopsided smile watching her making her way towards the bathroom while keeping eye contact, she was clearly inviting him to fuck her brain out. After a few minutes of sitting at the same spot, he earned a confused frown from his friend.

"Aren't you going?" Sebastian laughed under his breath.

"I don't do married women," Sebastian said pointing at the man who was sitting on the table while gazing at the place the girl disappeared to.

"Damn I thought she was single!" Sebastian chuckled.

"Same, but I got the look of the ring on her finger, damn swindler bitches are everywhere!" Darren nodded his head in agreement before they both got lost in their conversation.

"Yes, I heard about Ander Hayes. I feel really bad for the man, I didn't expect him to die though. He was a gem I wanted to give him the offer to work with me but who can stop the work of God." Smith said looking at the man who nodded with sympathy.

"I liked him too. He was really respectful towards me but well." Serena Wayne said hugging her husband's waist who wrapped his arm around her shoulder.

Suddenly a familiar face appeared before the old man, he caressed his wife's shoulder before smiling at the man who was the main reason for his success. It's not like he has any compassion toward this traitor, Smith just can't take any risk by getting rid of him. Yet.

"Scott. Finally, so tell me what's the news?" Smith inquired right away not even having a manner to greet the person. Scott cleared his throat ignoring the disrespect he got.

"Easter Hayes, Ander Hayes' wife is in hospital she had a sudden mental breakdown she's still unconscious. Both of her daughters are with her. Ander Hayes' funeral had already been done. And I already asked the workers to leave the company." Smith suddenly felt amiable towards the daughters and mother.

"How's their financial condition?" This time Serena Wayne questioned making Smith nod as well.

"It's not really good. The treatment has taken a lot from them. And the loss Ander Hayes suffered also cost them a lot." Scott replied not feeling a little bit of shame for doing such an awful sin.

"Hmm, I want to meet her, let's go to the hospital, I will go there and will give them a cheque so they wouldn't have any financial problems. I also need to pay condolences for their loss." Scott nodded his head agreeing with the old man, even though he knew Smith wouldn't be much welcomed there but right now they are in dire need of money, and except for accepting this offer they have no other choice. He was sure Bellaria would accept Smith's generosity.

Bellaria, suddenly his lips curved up remembering that blue-eyed fragile colleen, how can he not smile thinking of that innocent siren? Such beauty with an unexplainable innocence engraved in one girl is hard to find. But she had it all, innocence, submissive nature, and beauty that can attract any man. Even him.

How couldn't he fall for her when she was everything any man would desperately want to have in his woman? She was easygoing, the shy little siren that you want to protect so badly, her fragility makes him want to hide her away from the world.

An agitated sigh escaped his lips as he took a slow sip of red wine, because of Ander Hayes he never doted on her as he knew the man wouldn't give his such a young daughter to a man in his early 30s, but Scott never really gave up. He always wanted to try his best to win Bellaria and now there was no hindrance in his way.

A shameless smirk appeared on his lips thinking of all the sinful deeds he wanted to do to her, he couldn't wait till he will have his hands on her. He will court her and he was sure a naive beauty like her will definitely think of his advances, after all, he wouldn't be giving up anytime soon. He has admired her from a far way too long now it was time he would have closer look at her.

A day flew away in a blur and the next morning Bella woke up blinking her tired swollen eyes lazily, her eyes voluntarily raked towards the ticking clock and she was surprised to see that it was only 5 am. She has never woken up this early before maybe the depression has started to mess up her routine as well.

Steadily she looked around her only for her blue ocean eyes to halt on her sick mother, she was still unconscious, lying on the hospital bed. But Bella was still a little relieved as the doctor assured her that she just needs rest and will wake up soon. Rubbing her exhausted face she looked beside her finding her sister sleeping on the same couch. A small tired smile tugged over her dry lips, raising her warm hand she caressed her young sister's hair before soughing in exertion.

Last night, James met her and took her signs on the case file that she has filed on the Waynes, she knew in a day or two they will get the notice from the court. It would be a pure lie if she said she wasn't scared. That feared little kitten was still somewhere in her and she couldn't just erase it, it was in her nature, she was always the timid one among her family and suddenly she couldn't just turn into a whole different person.

Nonetheless, she still wanted to do anything to claim the things that belongs to her family back, even if for that she has to wear a facade of being strong over her. She will! For her family, she will!

Staring at her sister and mother for the longest time in a peaceful silence she tried to sleep again but it was nowhere near her anymore, getting tired of her attempts she stood up ready to exit the room but not before securely tugging her sister inside a fluffy blanket, not wanting to deprive her off the warmth.

After departing from the room, her head echoed with a thumping sound indicating a terrible headache attacking her nerves, rubbing her temple in frustration she decided to first fresh up. Washing her face, she had a glass of juice before gulping an aspirin down her throat, she couldn't afford to get sick right now not when her mother needed her the most.

Wrapping her usual shawl around her shoulder she decided to stroll around a garden in chilly weather, the sun hasn't risen completely and the atmosphere was hauntingly benign. Unhurriedly she strolled around the hospital's garden staring at the foggy grass getting lost in her depressing thoughts.

Be strong, a voice echoed in her head but how can she just magically become strong? The girl who used to get scared of the slightest things, how the same girl be strong all of a sudden? she wasn't made to fight against such a powerful clan, the Wayne's are famous for their ruthless tactics and undefeatable success. It wouldn't be easy for her to have a battle with them and to expect a victory is slightly close to impossible.

She took a deep breath of fresh air internally comforting her aching heart, yes it will be hard but not impossible, she believed it! No matter what will happen she wouldn't back away, she has vowed to win back everything that they snatched forcibly even though in doing so she has to lose anything. She just wouldn't back away!

While inhaling the chilly wind she didn't even notice when the sky gleamed up with the beautiful rays of the fresh sun, her eyes flickered coming out of her rigid thoughts. Raising her dainty wrist she looked at her wristwatch finding the clock hit 7 am. She didn't even notice how long she kept on walking in the garden. She decided to walk back to the room and had a little breakfast.

Even though she had no appetite but she knew she needs to eat something otherwise she will end up fainting. Sarah as well refused to eat anything but Bella forced a few pieces of toast down her throat and a glass of milk.

After some time she came out of the room to talk to the doctor. But as soon as she exited the room her steps halted meeting the familiar face, she looked at the nurse who had been taking care of her mother from the time she has admitted to the hospital. The young woman smiled at Bella before informing her about something.

"Ms. Hayes, someone is here to meet you. Doctor asked me to call you in his office." With that the nurse nodded at her and left to check up on her unconscious mother, Bella scowled deeply in confusion.

Who could have come to meet her? They had no relatives in this city. Maybe James? But she just talked with him last night and he already told her that he will mostly call her. Shaking her head she decided to go and see herself who have decided to grace her with their visit.

Knocking at the door of the doctor's office she heard the old man giving her muffled permission, she entered the room only to find an unfamiliar man sitting on the chair in front of the old doctor. Her calculative curious eyes trailed up to the man standing beside the seated one and then her blue odd gaze met with familiar brown ones.

Her soft confused gaze instantly hardened witnessing the familiar man that dared to even think of appearing in front of her after all the shits he has done, and the fact that he didn't look even a bit ashamed vexed her to no end. Her jaw instantly clung harder along with her eyes. She fisted the shawl around her letting the different kinds of emotions swirl inside her. But the one that overpowered every other emotion was rage, she grinded her teeth glaring at the man who seemed unbothered.

"Bellaria Hayes." The man mumbled her name making her narrow her eyes at him. How can someone be this shameless? No shame, no guilt not even one ounce of hesitation in his posture.

"What are you doing here Mr. Scott Fallon?" She sneered doing no effort to even lower down the bitterness behind her tongue, the man who steadily approached her looked beyond surprised by the way she replied to him.

Was it the Bellaria Hayes he used to know? The same innocent, submissive and timid siren he always had an interaction with. The girl who never even looked properly in his eyes was now standing there murdering him with her bland yet irked gaze. She looked so different.

He cleared his throat feeling a little embraced, "I came here to give my condolences and also I heard about Eas---" Bella held her hand up shaking her head in pure disbelief. What kind of a man is he? What is he really made of? So damn shameless!

"Don't you dare to take my mother's name with your disgusting tongue! " Scott stared at her in shock hearing her fiercest tone, her stance didn't only surprise the brown-eyed lad but also the old man that was seated watching the girl with his interested gaze.

He came here to just help her in the financial crises, he never met her before but now seeing now he could see a glimpse of Ander Hayes in her, she looked like a replica of that man. The same eyes, face structure, and the way she was standing rigid in front of Scott impressed him. Silently he watched the whole drama unfolding before his eyes.

"Don't you feel a little bit of shame? With what face did you even come here? After all the things you did to my father. To us. How dare you! " Her voice increased along with the venom dripping down her tongue as she stared at him with utmost disgust. Her hate for Scott was way too much that except for him she didn't give any attention to her surroundings.

Scott even though had an idea that she might know everything about the betrayal he gave to her father but still somewhere in him hoped for her to not find it, at least not yet, not until he would be able to win her heart but here goes his chance of courting her in a ditch.

Confessing to her about his feelings wasn't an option anymore so he simply decided to let her calm down first, maybe after some days this matter will become old for her and she might finally feel a little compassionate towards him. Maybe he should wait a little more. Taking a deep breath he looked at her with sad eyes.

"Look Bellaria, whatever anger you have towards me, you can let it out any other time but right now I am not here to fight with you. I am here with someone who wanted to meet you." Her blue tired eyes flickered with confusion, not wanting to drag the matter ahead she silently waited for him to continue.

Scott cleared his throat motioning at the old man sitting on the chair like a king, Bella's eyes snapped to the unfamiliar man who shot a small smile towards the muddled girl successfully not getting any kind of softness in return from her.

"Here, meet him. Smith Wayne." As soon as the name erupted his lips, Bellaria felt a shuddering sensation spreading over her legs, for a second tears burned her eyes as the man who was responsible for her father not being with them right now was right before her eyes.

Her blurry vision watched his posture looking all confident and purely remorseless, after all the things he have done to her family how can he still sit so peacefully like that? Smith Wayne stared at her having no idea about the turmoil the poor girl was going through right now.

"Mr. Wayne will handle your mother's hospital expenses and will give you more amount to spend a better life, he's also ready to provide for your and Sarah's education, that's why he's here to talk to you." Scott finished his heartfelt speech which felt like insulting bullshit to the girl.

The doctor sensed the tension in the air and decided to leave the people alone, Bella clenched her jaw, and the tears that earlier were rubbing in her eyes suddenly freeze up in rage. Her eyes slowly went to the cheque that Scott had forwarded to her, glaring at the paper in his hand she chuckled under her breath.

He was trying to buy their pain, isn't he? How can someone be this despicable? She wondered, raising her eyes she looked at the old man whose smile was nowhere to be seen anymore, he was observing her keenly trying to see through her but to no avail.

With a trembling hand, she grasped the cheque making the old man exhale a sigh of relief, at least she wasn't an emotional fool to reject his help, she needed it. That's good! But before he could celebrate it wholeheartedly he heard a tearing sound that didn't fail to astonish him.

Bella ripped the cheque into several pieces.

Smith's lips separated in disbelief as he steadily stood up from the chair staring at the timid young girl with a bewildered gaze, he had never in a million years expected such a response from her. He had a strong faith that she will accept the money after all everyone does.

"You think you can buy our pain, our tears. Our helplessness!" She seethed with collided teeth while glaring at the stunned man, his surprised stance slowly turned into a raging one watching how rebellious this fragile colleen was.

Her shimmering blue eyes with crimson-colored veins looking prominent kept eye contact with his grey stern ones, her this action did nothing but added fuel to fire. Never had any woman except for his wife before had the audacity to look into his eyes with such intensity, there was no fear of him in her eyes. Instead, he saw the power and utmost hatred.

His body shuddered in exasperation when she threw the torn pieces right on his face insulting him beyond measure, his tolerance level started diminishing as he kept glaring at the little girl.

"Sorry to break it to you Mr. Wayne but my pride and teaching don't allow me to sell my father's blood!" She gritted out taking a step closer to the tall man whose hands curled up into tight fists.

"We don't do trading with our murderers!" And this was enough to finish the last string of tolerance that Smith had.

"SHUT UP!" He growled decreasing the step distance between them before leaning his face slightly lower. He was trying to show his dominance over her and somehow he was successful after all Bella's hands started shaking in fear but she still refused to show it on her face.

Scott gulped as well watching Smith Wayne almost shaking in vexation, the man was too prideful and egoistic to deal with such accusations and open insults. He bit his lower lip wanting to interfere but at the same time, the look Smith had on clearly screamed to stay away.

"Watch your mouth little girl!" He spat matching his scary grey eyes with her glaring blue ones.

"My hands still have the ability to take more lives! And trust me they wouldn't even shake while doing so!" His threat trembled Scott, the intensity and warning behind his words can make anyone pee their pants and Bella wasn't any better.

Her knees quivered in fear and dread started playing with her senses, her eyes flickered with anxiety but again gripping the agitation in her heart she maintained eye contact raising her head.

"Do it then! Dogs disguised in wolf's flesh don't scare me!" Smith raised his hand to choke the life out of her but before he could do so, Scott held him back.

"Sir please relax, we are in the hospital!" Scott's words did a work of awakening to Smith as he blinked his eyes to lower down his anger.

Even though he was shaking in anger, he wanted nothing more than to suck the life out of her but he couldn't risk it, the office has a camera, and he couldn't afford to take any risk of anyone seeing this side of him. Taking a deep breath he shot a glance at the torn cheque before looking at the rebellion in front of him. Walking near her he glared into her eyes.

"Seems like generosity doesn't suit low lives like you, rot in your hell hole without any money and help!" Spitting the venomous words he walked passed her exiting the office.

Scott shot a last glance at her as well before following Smith, Bella heaved out a heavy sigh feeling her legs losing their whole strength, and she fell on the chair freeing the tears that she was holding in. So hard! It was so hard for her to stand still in front of the murderer of her father.

Blandly wiping her cheeks she closed her tired swollen eyes, "You can do it, Bella, there are going to be a lot of interactions like this in the future. You need to be strong." She comforted herself taking heavy breaths.

But only if she knew what chaos she has started by stepping into the den of hungry loin.
