Chp-5

Author's Pov

Her heart was shaken up with terror watching his scary eyes gazing at her like he wanted nothing but to swallow her alive, the time-to-time puffing out of smoke made him scarily intimidating which didn't fail to add to her dread. Gulping down she comforted her heart telling herself that she has to face him bravely. She needs to be strong.

Hissing under her breath she unhurriedly stood up on her cold ice feet letting his eyes rake all over her body which was damped with rain. She was wearing a sky-blue shirt along with a black skirt reaching her ankles. The shawl she had around her a while ago was nowhere to be seen as she had dropped it while running for her life.

Sebastian stayed silent slowly raising his hawk eyes to her pale face which had a few strands of her red hair touching it, Bella had her hair tied up in a messy bun but it got opened up as well because of her vigorous marathon. Bella's bloodshot blue eyes stared into his dominant gray ones as she let out a shaky breath.

"What is the meaning of all of this?" She questioned keeping her voice stern and steady which indeed impressed the odious lad sitting on the other side. Inhaling the cigar he again puffed out a good lump of smoke before answering her.

"Simple, sign these papers I will send you back to your house safe and sound." He said nonchalantly which earned a scoff filled with disbelief from Bella.

"And the papers are?" She already knew what he wants her to sign but she still tested her luck.

Sebastian threw the finished cigar on the dirty floor before standing up from the chair, he stepped over the cigar crushing it at a steady pace while fixating his glare on her. She gulped inaudibly watching the look in his eyes, he looked way more terrifying while standing up. She would hardly reach his bicep.

"To take back the case," He informed her.

"If I wanted to take back the case I wouldn't have filed it in the first place." Gathering her strength she mumbled out making his lips tilt up in a lopsided smile.

"Brave, aren't you?" He said taking unhurried steps towards her, the clacking sound that his shoes made with each step he took did nothing but to terrorized her. Now she knew why James said that he was worst than Smith Wayne. She didn't feel this threat while facing Smith Wayne.

"Bravery is good until you use it on the situations that had no place for it, and right now Bellaria," He paused halting right a step away from her staring down into her slightly red eyes.

"The situation doesn't demand your stubborn bravery, it demands obedience and smartness." He whispered the last sentence before slightly bowing his head to come face to face with her.

"Sign the papers," This time there was no wicked smile on his face, no amusement. Even his voice was filled with authority and warning. But Bella wasn't ready to give up, she shook her head glaring into his eyes.

"Never!" Sebastian clenched his jaw confining his eyes in the process, he was exploding inside because of her stubbornness but what raging him more was the fact that the woman standing in front of him stared right into his eyes.

At first, he was gleeful after seeing the tears and fear in her eyes for him, but the moment she stood up the terror and water just disappeared from her eyes, and the way she was staring into his eyes like he held no authority or any kind of control over her burnt his insides. He wasn't used to facing women with this kind of obstinate behavior.

Taking a deep breath he unlatched his eyes, "Let's not trouble each other anymore darling, sign the papers." He once again proposed trying to come out as calm as he could but Bellaria wasn't ready to give up, it was already hard for her to stand uptight without showing any kind of nervousness in her posture, she just wasn't ready to give up this easily.

Shaking her head she denied his demand which caused the acceleration of his breathing, his chest kept on going back and forth at a rapid pace as rage defeated his patience, he gritted his teeth before doing something he promised himself to not do before facing her.

Bella gasped out in horror when he held the back of her neck jerking her body near him causing her face to tug forward near his to the extent that their breathing mingled together, noses slightly brushed and Bella's cold hands landed on his wide shoulders.

Her eyes expanded in alert as she once again tugged on his shoulders to push him away but his grip was firm and he was way stronger than her to release herself from his trap, Sebastian gazed darkly into her wavered captivating blue eyes.

"Stubborn as hell, aren't you!" He lowly sneered right on her face making her exhale a shaky breath. Her legs were continuously trembling in fear.

"I loathe attitude such as yours, woman!" She pressed her lips together again jerking his shoulders but instead he pushed her near him even more which resulted in her nose colliding with his.

She tried to turn her head away from his scrunching her face in disgust which didn't go unnoticed by him as he forcibly kept her face on the spot, Bella shut her eyes as soon she felt his lips slightly brushing against her quivering ones, gritting his teeth like a hungry loin he glared at her pale face before something snapped up in his twisted mind and a wicked smile spread over his lips.

"You should be grateful that I helped your father in his last time," Hearing his words her struggling body went rigid, she still didn't open her eyes and Sebastian took the bait by continuing his apathetic speech.

"You know the moment your father clutched his heart, his body trembled and he fell on the floor, no one was there to help him." Tears started gathering in his squeezed eyes but the crazy man had no compassion for them. He left her body taking a step back letting her stand on her trembling legs as he stood only a step away from her continuing his cruel speech.

"Except me, I was the one who held him, took him to hospital in my car, I was the one who tried to save your father but well we can't fight against fate, can we?" She steadily unlocked her eyelashes letting the tears soak her pale cheeks.

Sebastian watched her breaking down and he knew he had hurt her beyond measure but did he feel a little bad for doing this, no! He was here for a reason and he was adamant about achieving that purpose.

"See Bellaria, I tried to help him, save him but I was only a minute late, so shouldn't you return the favor I did, come on. Sign these and end this useless enmity." Bella looked down at the dirty surface letting her tears touch it.

Sebastian patiently watched her and he knew his words kind of hit her soft spot, maybe it would be enough to break her. Well, he was a little disappointed that she was giving up this early he had planned a little more but as expected, women are weak. Always!

He smirked watching her taking a step near him and the moment she was right in front of him he motioned one of his men to bring the papers forward which he did only for Bella to grab it with a slightly shaking hand. Sebastian smiled in relief but his happiness didn't last long.

Raising her head her bloodshot ocean eyes met his hawk-grey ones before she raised her hand and smacked the paper right on his face making him shut close his eyes at the disrespect. She breathed heavily before glaring at him.

"If you think by emotionally blackmailing me you can get my signs on it then you're highly mistaken Sebastian Wayne, I will never sign them!" As soon as she completed her words she stepped back widening her red eyes in shock.

Sebastian pulled the gun from the back of his pants pointing at her unhurriedly opening his raging eyes, stepping forward he attached the knob of the gun to her temple gazing into her wide eyes with his ruthless grey ones.

"I thought you're smart but tsk tsk tsk, you're stupider than I thought!" She clutched her jaw trying to surpass the dread that started seeping into her veins. Suddenly her body went numb when he begin to trace the knob of the gun on the side of her face halting it right under her chin.

She hissed when he jerked her face up using the gun which was under her chin making her look into his eyes, he stepped forward smirking at her like he will make sure for her to sign these papers tonight either by hook or by crook.

He motioned someone and the tall masked man brought the phone right before Bella's eyes making her watch the video playing on it, her eyes widened in dread and her hands started shivering badly as soon as she witnessed what was going on. There were many masked men with guns in their hands standing outside of her house waiting for Sebastian's order, her head snapped to him who finally freed her from the dreadful gun smiling like a devil.

"The moment I said do it, they will start firing bullets and it doesn't matter who will die from it, the person will either be your mother or maybe your sister." Her jaw trembled as she shook her head.

"Y-Your fight is with me, then kill me, why are you going after them!?" She snapped at him glancing at the phone again and her fear indeed increased when she saw the men taking a few steps closer to her house.

"Let me teach you a most important lesson, kitten." He mumbled earning her full attention.

"When you make enemies, the first thing you need to wipe or hide is your weakness. And you failed to do so, they are your weakness and I as your enemy find pleasure in using them against you." He said giving her an odious smile. His words left her speechless.

Tugging the gun back in his place he crossed his rugged arms against his broad chest staring down at her whose eyes were fixed on the phone. She suddenly shook her head. And only one word echoed in his head, Stubborn!

"You wouldn't do that, I know, you wouldn't dare to kill them." Sebastian chuckled.

"Why? Because you think a human can't kill another human?" He inquired earning no reply from her.

"Well guess what Bellaria, I am called a devil for a reason." Saying that he looked at the man ready to motion him to start firing and in panic Bella raised her hand to slap him but before she could do so it was grasped by the muscular lad.

He tilted his head to her twisting her hand behind her back making her gasp out, he did the same with her other hand before jerking her body near his. She mewled in disgust when he stuck her hands using his one hand behind her back making her wet clothed chest collided with his solid ones. Her uncertain blue orbs gazed into his vicious grey ones as he continued.

"Sign the papers, or I wouldn't mind crossing the line which is considered forbidden in your language Bellaria." She gulped hearing his threat. She knew he wasn't playing anymore.

Her heart throbbed badly against her chest when his eyes again went to his man ready to command him but Bella's mild whisper stopped him.

"I-I will do it. I will sign the papers. D-Do not hurt them." She mumbled almost inaudibly with her quivering lips.

Sebastian fixated his menacing eyes on her and unconsciously they dropped down to her trembling lips which looked beyond dry and paler to his liking. Without realizing he licked his own lips gulping in the process watching those tempting petals right in front of his eyes.

But soon his stance broke when she struggled to get out of his grip, gritting his teeth feeling displeased with his own thoughts he left her completely taking two steps back before motioning to the man who grabbed the papers from the floor and extended them toward Bella.

With a heavy heart and trembling hands, she signed away the hope she had of getting back what belonged to her father, tears blurred her eyes once again as she watched her hands signing the papers taking the case back, unwillingly.

After she was done the man held the papers and stepped away from the duo, Sebastian watched the lone tear tracing her pale cheek, and out of instinct, he held his hand forward letting the tear drop over his index finger.

"It's ok, you did well. It was the only wise decision you could have taken." He said like he was feeling sympathy for her. She fisted her badly trembling hands. Sebastian felt the need to see her eyes for the last time.

He stepped forward gently holding her jaw in his large hand causing her to raise her head meeting with his curious eyes. More tears kissed her cheeks as she glared into his eyes.

"You're a bastard! A coward!" She suddenly sneered making him tighten his grip over her jaw not liking the way she was disrespecting him.

"I curse you." A mewled whisper erupted from her throat. The man who had her jaw held in a terrific grip suddenly gave her a twisted smile having no effect from her words.

He found them absurd and full of stupidity.

"I CURSE YOU! YOU AND YOUR FATHER WILL LOSE ALL YOUR HAPPINESS AND PEACE! IT'S A CURSE OF A DAUGHTER, YOU IMBECILE!" She cried loudly right on his face which did snatch his smile but something in him refused to accept the power behind her curse.

He stared into her eyes for a few seconds before he burst out in a humorless laugh releasing her from his grip, he stepped away from her shaking his head. Her words were too amusing for him to not react.

"I had a good laugh, my dear, my work is done. Goodbye Bella." With that, he gestured to his men and they followed him out. He didn't even glance at the destruction he caused behind.

Bella finally let her knees meet the floor. Fisting her hair with her both hands she cried out loudly which entered his ears as well but the man was too apathetic to feel anything towards those melancholic cries.

Bella shook her head vigorously dropping her body on the floor not caring about the fact that the dirt had embraced her body, she curled up in a ball crying alone in nothing but agony and anguish. In just a span of a few minutes.

She had lost her everything, her hope, her last chance to get everything back that belonged to her father.

Those vultures won, once again they won.
