Through out the ride back from the company, I thought about ways to make Hailey pay for bringing up my mate in a totally unrelated situation. She needed to know that though we were working together, I wouldn't take any nonsense from her. She wasn't in any way worthy of having Alanna's name on her lips. No one was!

"Where's she?" I asked Caroline, the head maid, who stood by the door. She's been an employee of my mansion since I was young, hence the most reliable.
