CHAPTER THREE

~ALEXIS~

"Lexi is there a day you're never late?" Saffron drew me closer to her, with her hand around my shoulder.

"Considering you're here with me, I'll assume you're late too." I told her.

"I have free period." She sand and I rolled my eyes.

"Oh is that so?" We both froze at the sound of the voice.

"Morning Mr. Jason." Saffron smirked at our geography teacher. Another hot guy she crashed on. He seemed like a nerd to me though.

"I couldn't help but hear you say you had free period." He said and she laughed nervously.

"Oh it's nothing really." She waved her hand in the hair.

"Good, so you wouldn't mind assisting me, would you?" He smiled and I did my best to stifle my laughter. She turned to me and mouthed help to me but I just pushed her instead towards him.

"Oh she wouldn't mind." I said and she glared.

"Thank you, get to class." He told me and I nodded.

Still smiling, I wat he's Saffron follow Mr Jason into his office. "My phone." I yelped, almost screamed when someone pulled me around.

"Have you no manners?!" I shouted and it echoed down the hall way, only for me to cover my mouth with my hands.

Rolling his eyes, Joshua pulled me into the empty music room. "You want us to get caught?!" He whisper-shouted.

"I don't sneak up on people. It's dangerous." I held my chest, trying to recover from the shock.

"Good morning to you too." He said and I opened my mouth to say something, only for me to close it again.

"My phone." He said again and my eyes widened. His too followed suit when he recognised my expression.

"You forgot it?!" He shouted.

"Shut up princess, I have it with me." I told him.

"Yehn yehn yehn." He tried to mimic a girl's tone, which was definitely not mine.

"Never do that again." I told him in disgust.

"Give me my phone." He said to me, stretching his hand out.

"Not till I know you have mine." I told him.

"Fine, we'll both hand it over." He suggested and I nodded.

We both reached for the strange phones and turned to hand it over.

"I think I'll have that." My heart skipped when I herd another person speak.

"Sir," I began but the principal shunned me with a flick of his finer.

"You two are supposed to be in class." He said and for the first time I had no words to say.

"We were just about to leave." I told him.

"You know it calls for detention right? Three days." He said to us both.

"Oh but I have y'all pass." Joshua said and my jaw dropped.

"The hall pass is not to meet with your girlfriend in an empty classroom." The principal said and I smiled. He wanted to be cunning.

"What sir-" Joshua began to objet but he was cut short.

"Joshua, I know who you are but you're in my school, so you abide by my rules. Out." He said. We both turned to leave the room. "The phones." He added and we groaned, handing them over to him.

****

"You know this is all your fault." I wrapped my arms around my chest.

"My fault? You shouted!" He laughed mockingly at me.

"You shouted last, revealing our location." I argued.

"All this would've been avoided if you had just come when nobody was around, oh like yesterday." He turned to glare at me.

School was over, we were the only ones in detention and the teacher had just gone out to use the toilet, leaving Joshua and I alone to be engrossed in sending daggers at ourselves.

"I can't be alone with a stranger, you moron." I spotted.

"Well look at you now. By the way it's Joshua and you should show a little more respect to me."

"Oh I'm sorry your highness, I forgot I'm not supposed to point out the truth to the princess." The sarcasm in my voice was audible for anyone to hear.

"How much I wish you could shut up forever." He said.

"I wish you never existed." I snapped back.

"That's it. I'm going to talk to the teacher." He got up.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you. But go ahead, I don't know what school you came from, but it'll be fun to watch you make a fool out of yourself." I smirked at him.

He didn't stop, he continued to leave the room, when he was out, there was that silence I felt and loved. But it was destined never to last, especially with him around.

"You cannot be serious." Joshua's voice sounded from out the door. I turned my head when the door swung open, revealing both the teacher and Joshua, who was looking more angry then before.

"Not just cleaning the teacher lounge, you also have to move the new instruments into the auditorium." The teacher said and I smiled in satisfactory.

"You too miss Thompson." She said to me and I choked on my own spit.

"What?!" I shouted.

"You heard me." She said plainly as she found her way back to working on her files.

"I didn't do anything." I defended even when I knew it was useless.

"Exactly." She looked up from her glasses to face me.

Letting out a frustrated growl, I slouched on my chair aggressively, it was all his fault.

"You're so going to die in my hands." I glared at him.

"Not unless I kill you first." He glared back.
