Chapter 4: Secrets

Stepping out of the building into the blinding light, Thomas squinted against the sun before fitting a pair of sunglasses over his eyes. He got behind the wheel of his truck with a huff. This life is not the life he would have chosen for himself. He longed for his undercover identity to be his only identity. To not have to work for the same people his father was a slave to, but he had no choice in the matter.

There had been many nights and days he warred with himself to tell his wife the truth about his life after he was adopted out of the same orphanage as Cilyna. His marriage was built on lies that keep him up too many nights. Their children were not part of the plan yet he fell in love with them.
