"I need to have a word with the Hybrid Alpha. May I pass, please?" Kaynon stood on the border of Ciaran's territory.'What business do you have with him?' Jake, Ciaran's beta, replied standing his ground to protect his pack from any threat, even from a once highly respected alpha suck as Kaynon."I need his help to track down this coven I've been dealing with." Jake stood in silence, his fur rippling with the breeze as he heavily considered the rogue alpha's words before he replied. 'Remain in your human form and follow me. You will be flanked by two of my males to ensure you mean no harm.'"Understandable." Kaynon replied, tilting his head in a slight bow, respectfully, as he fell into step behind Jake and two wolves fell into step behind him, spread further apart to cut off all exits. As they arrive at the pack house, home of the alpha and his family, a red haired boy of about six or seven comes barreling through the front door."Uncle Jake! Give me a ride! Please!" He grabs a hand
Cilyna found her leather jacket that had been wrenched from her body before she shifted and draped it over her shoulders, thanking whatever god for her getting one that covered down to her knees. She done up the buttons, noticing one sleeve was ripped at the seem by her shoulder, then found her way out of the coverage of the trees. Her hair a disheveled mess, her feet bare, she approached the edge of the grass, where it met the asphalt and where the whole scene began. The Chief was about thirty yards away from her, peering into the thick foliage, calling her name. Funny, he dared not let his high dollar leather shit kickers leave the man-made ground."I'm here, Chief." Cilyna called weakly, his head whipped around in her direction, she almost caught whiplash from the speed. The sound of his boots clapping across the pavement, echoing over the trunks of the trees were magnified due to the stunned silence around them. Cilyna could feel that all eyes were on her, a couple news crews comi
Thomas could get his heart squeeze at the sight of his wife lying sprawled out on the floor. A vision of strength and beauty, one of the reasons he fell in love with her. He could not believe he was so blind that he did not know his only love was there enemy his father and the counsel have been forcing training for. He rubbed his sweaty hands over his face, trying to wipe away his feelings from the past eighteen years. "Why did it have to be you?" he muttered as he stared at her unconscious body."You and our children! Now I will be forced to do things I do not want to be subjected to." he bellowed knowing she was not going to respond. If Thomas had not followed her and seen with his own eyes what she truly was, he never would have believed it to be true. He had brought the twins to they're neighbor at the end of their road and parked his truck just outside of the blue light range. He watched as everyone began screaming when Cilyna was dragged into the dense foliage and disappeared.
"Yes, sir. I have her captive." Cilyna heard a male's whispered voice from afar. "I'm not sure if that's necessary." She heard regret in his tone. "I understand. Yes, sir. I'll bring her right over. What would you have me do with the children? They should not be subjected to the same fate, they're only children." Cilyna's eyes popped open as fast as the speed of sound at the mention of 'children'. Her pupils landed on the male she thought she knew better than herself. The man she fell in love with and had had children with. "I don't believe they pose a threat. They are only half breeds, there is a possibility they will never come into that side of their genetics." He continued, slumping his shoulders at the response he received."Understood." He said in defeat.Thomas had his back turned towards her bound body with his phone pressed to his ear. Frustration and sorrow etched in the muscles of his back. If it were not for his voice, she never would have recognized him. Clad in a blac
"How could you?" She screamed at him, borderline growling with rage."Don't make this harder than it already is." He grumbled, gripping the steering wheel hard enough to turn his knuckles white."After everything we've been through together! Our children we had together! The life we built together! And you volunteered to kill me yourself! How could I possibly make things harder for you? Why did you not tell me you were part of a secret organization of hunters?""Would it have changed anything? No, you would still be what you are. Our children could have been avoided, I suppose.""Thomas, I abandoned that part of me a long time ago. I was too young, and blocked that part of me out. I only recently figured out that I am what I am." She sighed."Enough of the lies!" He bellowed, jerking the vehicle to a halt in the middle of no where, surrounded by trees and foliage."The vampires you're working for are liers!" she yelled. He jumped out, jerked her door open and pulled her out by her hai
"The Hunter's have already gotten the children." Kaynon whispered to Ciaran at the entrance of his cave."We'll have to track him. It's not going to be easy to do without her, but she is in no condition for such a mission at this point." Ciaran replied, just as quietly."I agree, she's still getting used to shifting and reconnecting with her wolf. She'll ravage anything and everything in her path.""You'll need to stay here with her. Keep her safe, not just from anything harmful out here, but safe from her losing her sanity because of this." Ciaran ordered."Yes, Alpha." Kaynon turned towards the glow of the flames lighting the stone walls."Oh, and Kaynon? Now would not be a very good time to talk to her about mates either." Ciaran said, gripping his shoulder firmly."I know. I know." Kaynon said with a sigh before walking in his den and sitting beside Cilyna."So what's the plan?" She asked, her gaze never wavering from the orange and yellow flames licking up the sides of the logs.
Cilyna had had enough of sitting around in Kaynon's cave while those men were off doing only God knows what while her children were kidnapped. She dropped the bear skin blanket covering her naked flesh and immediately shifted. She was not exactly sure where she was but looking out the mouth of the cave she could just see the wide space the town should be located and twisted her paws in that direction."I have to find my babies!" She declared to no one."We need to start with the last place they were to follow their scent trail." The soft, low rumble of her wolf's voice echoed through her mind."So what, you're helping me now?" Cilyna asked in disbelief."They are mine to me as well. I am part of you and they are part me too." She declared and Cilyna could feel the pride and protectiveness from her wolf as her words echoed. Now, with more determination than ever, she urged herself forward as fast as she could. She reached her home first to grab some clothes, there was no way she could
"Chloe? Are you ok?" Kade whispered to his sister as they huddled together in their tiny cell."I'll be better when mommy gets here." she whispered back, squeezing his cold hands."Do you know when that will be?" he's asked, trying to be brave for his sister."No, you know I don't know how to tell time with the things I see yet." she grumbled at her brother."What do you think they are going to do with us?" he asked, looking around at the dark room."They're going to strap you down and poke you with needles and try to figure out what makes us all different from them and how they can control you for their own gain." a voice echoed from another section of the corridor where they were being held."Who said that?" Kade said in his bravest voice he could muster."Just another captive. I've been here for two years now. No one is coming." the voice said again."Our mommy will come for us. I've seen it, she'll come with an army and we will all get to go home." Chloe said in defiance."Chloe,
