Chapter 1

Emily came down from the taxi. She searched for the little cash she had inside her bag, but she couldn't find it. Emily searched thoroughly before she finally fetched the money out.

“Keep it”

The taxi driver drove away without waiting for her response. Emily was surprised by the man's words; she immediately bowed 90 degrees.

“Thank you”

She stares at the taxi for a while before she finally regains her senses.

Emily enters the Cloud White Hotel. Her fiancée is celebrating his birthday today, and he is using the opportunity to host a bachelor party for himself. She doesn't like parties like these because she has never been to one, especially one with alcohol and other crazy stuff. Emily takes the elevator to the last floor; her fiancée doesn't even inform her about the party on time; she was informed a few minutes ago when the party had already started an hour ago.

She felt disrespected by this, but on the other hand, Mason knows she doesn't like parties; perhaps that is why he didn't tell her, which is crazy if that is what he really thought.

She wished she could turn back and leave, but she couldn't do such a thing; she must be on his good side. and Pleased him every time if she wants him to pay the debts.

The elevator opened, and the sound of music covered Emily's ears; even her heart was vibrating because of the loud volume.

Emily stepped out of the elevator and she walked straight to the rooftop. The place was displaying different colors, and people were walking around: girls, boys, men, and women.

Emily stood still as she watched people holding each other, apparently having fun because they were all smiling. Her eyes spotted Mason in the middle of the party; he was sitting with some group of people, friends, she supposed, whoever the girl beside him looked very much like her cousin.

Emily walks to the scene, and after taking a closer look at the girl beside Mason, she confirms she was right earlier; it's truly her.

What is she doing here? Mason suddenly turned his back, and he sighted Emily. He stood up and stretched his right hand to her.

“Emily, come here quickly.”

Emily hurried she moved her footsteps quicker to Mason.

Mason grabbed her hands and raised them up. His voice was louder than the music playing.

“Everyone, this is my fiancée.” Everybody stopped dancing and started clapping. Emily bowed her head gently in response to their clapping.

“It's okay; let's continue the fun.” The music sound increased again. Mason finds a seat for Emily and places it close to his.

Emily and Mason both sat down. Emily faces Mason and whispers in his ears.

“What is she doing here?”

Mason raised his voice.

“Emily, these are my friends! The best among the best, my real friends.”

He faced Emily.

“How about you have one glass of beer to show your respect to them?” A little frown appeared on Emily's face, but it immediately vanished she dare not show any sign of anger.

Her heart tightened when she heard Mason's words: How can he ask her to do such a thing? She wanted to reject his offer, but the people around her started drumming on the table with their glass cups.

“Drink, Drink!, Drink!!, Drink!!!” Emily was stupefied by their actions; she was left with no choice; she couldn't reject it anymore; Mason would get angry; he might even postpone the wedding because of it; she had come so far; tomorrow is the wedding; she couldn't ruin it.

She faced the full glass of drink close to her cousin, and Jessica pushed the glass close to Emily.

“Drink it, sis!”

Emily's forehead folds a little, but she stays calm and drinks everything. She smashed the glass cup in the middle of the table, and everybody let out a thunderous roar of excitement. She was obviously drunk already.

“You have done well, Emily.”

Mason taps her shoulder; he stands up and walks away; Emily's eyebrows raise, seeing he is leaving; she turns to face the direction he went, but she doesn't see him; her eyes are starting to blur, and her body seems to be getting hot. Emily faces the table again.

“Sis, you are bold.”

Emily frowns at hearing Jessica's words. Jessica has never called her sister before; what happened? Is she drunk too? She wanted to say something, but her eyes were spinning, and her body was aching for pleasure.

“Call Mason”

Emily managed to voice out, Jessica's cheeks moved, and she turned to face the men behind her.

“Take Emily Logan to room 404” The man walked to Emily and helped her up.

“Where are you taking me too?” Emily manage to frees her hands from the man's grip as she faces Jessica.

“Where is Mason?”

Jessica faces Emily with a bright smile.

“He is taking you to him.”

Emily nods to her words. She is really drunk, and the music is vibrating in her head. She needs to get out of this place.

She has seen people take countless full glasses of wine without getting drunk. She thought she could take a glass without any issues, but she was mistaken. She hasn't tasted alcohol before, so she doesn't really know the effect of one glass.

The man leads her to the elevator, then he takes her gently to the room.

Jessica saw Emily staggering on her way; if the man wasn't supporting her movement, she would've fallen to the floor immediately.

“How far are we?”

She said, referring to room 404. “How far is it?”

The man gazed forward. He saw one of the rooms in the corridor was opened, and the room number was 402.

He tries to remember Jessica's words, but he can't; the music is too loud back there; however, he is sure she said room 402, and the door is even open. The man takes Emily to room 402. He pushes her inside and shuts the door.
