Suddenly, this accusation felt like an arrow piercing Arista’s heart, causing her to jolt awake, pushing Levi away with a force and speed beyond his expectation.

But Levi remained motionless as she fell to the ground.

Arista looked up at him, her expression filled with mild shock.

The room fell silent. Levi watched as Arista sat on the ground, tears trickling down her cheeks, seemingly oblivious, just staring at him.

Levi took a step forward, intending to help her up, but as he reached out, Arista’s body trembled.

She was afraid of him.

“I’m not yours,” Arista muttered, her hand clutching the ground behind her, her eyes wide with fear. “I’m not yours. I don’t want to see you.”

Levi thought the wound from Enchilarse’s sword on his heart had healed completely. But now the softest part of his heart felt like it was being cut open by the dullest knife, agonizingly painful, both bitter. It was a pain that couldn’t be described, couldn’t be put into words.

“I don’t want to see you.”
