Arya
It took me a moment to remember where I was when I woke. I open my eyes to move at my average speed but soon feel pain in my knee and ribs, a sharp reminder of what happened yesterday.
“Arya, are you okay?” the voice made me jump until I remembered it was Kyson next to me, “I forgot I hurt myself,” I whined.
“You need to be careful, sweetness. Where were you trying to go?” he asks, “The bathroom. I just need to take my time.” I slowly get up from the bed, trying to ignore the throbbing in my knee. Kyson soon appears at my side, wrapping his arm around me, “I will help you get there,” he smiles.
The last thing I wanted was for him to help me to the bathroom, but I didn’t have a choice. I am sure it will ease the more I move around today, and I can make it to the bathroom myself. Kyson waits outside the bathroom for me. I go as quick as I could, and he helped me back to the bedroom.
“How about I make us some breakfast and coffee. Then I can give you a hand to get ready and help you outside. We can enjoy the fresh air, or I can leave you to write,” he suggests, “Sure. Though, I will manage to get ready myself.” I giggle.
It will take time and effort, but I am fine with it. It is better than having him help dress me. It is only my knee, so I will manage. It would be different if it were an arm or something, it would make it more difficult.
“Okay, what do you fancy?” he questions, “Hmm, yoghurt and fruit sounds good.” I smile. I don’t tend to eat too much at breakfast. Kyson disappears to make us breakfast.
I check my phone in case of any texts or calls, but nothing which is good. I set it aside, taking the small first aid kit from the drawer, cleaning and redressing my knee, and cleaning my hands with wipes and sanitiser.
“Breakfast is served, my lady…” he chuckles, coming into the room, a large tray in his hand. He sits it on the bed before climbing in next to me, “I bet you didn’t expect to be spending your first few days here looking after someone.” I laugh, taking a bite from my breakfast.
“You aren’t just someone, Arya. It wasn’t what I expected, but I don’t mind.” He smiles, and we turn our attention back to our food. It is a comfortable silence between us as we ate.
“Where would you like to sit? On your porch or down by the lake?” he asks as he gathers the dishes up, “The porch will do. I can’t wait until everything heals so I can go venture further afield.” I pout.
I hope it wouldn’t take too long to heal, or I may go insane. I just need to focus on my writing to keep my mind off the pain. Once we finish up, Kyson takes the empty dishes away. I decided to try to make a move to get myself ready. Luckily, my underwear is in the case closest to me since I haven’t even had a chance to unpack. I slide it as close to me as possible and carefully bring it up onto the bed. I open it and realise everything I need is in the case, bonus! I raid through it, finding one of my summer dresses because it will be easier to put a dress on rather than shorts or leggings. I retrieve everything I need, keeping myself hidden under the covers and stripping my nightwear off. At least if Kyson comes in, he won’t see anything, and I can tell him to leave until I have my clothes on.
I take my time, item by item, cautious on how I move for the sake of my ribs and make sure not to rub anything against my sore knee. I manage my underwear before Kyson comes back.
“Do you need help?” he asks, looking over at me, “No, I am okay, just my dress left, and I am sorted. Can you, um, turn around, please?” he nods, turning his back to me. I push the covers away, sliding my dress over my head, “You can turn back around.” I announce.
I sat up, and he came to stand in front of me, helping me to my feet, “Do you want me to get the zipper?” I nod in response, and he comes behind me. I hold onto the bedside cabinet to steady myself.
His rough, warm fingers brush the skin of my back, causing me to shudder below his touch. He takes the zip between his fingers, pulling it up. I could feel the heat on my skin anywhere his fingers brushed, “All done, gorgeous,” he whispers, his warm breath fanning below my ear, and a soft moan escapes from my lips. Kyson chuckles from behind me, and I glare at him over my shoulder. He smirks and shrugs, “Come on, let’s get you outside, then I will gather everything you need.” He smiles.
He slips his arm around me, holding me up, and I hobble outside. Kyson safely makes sure I am sitting on the seat, using another one for me to rest my leg upon, “Thank you.” I find it sweet that he is looking after me, especially since he doesn’t have to.
He went back in to get everything I needed, “I am going to nip to my cabin for a quick shower and a change of clothes. Will you be alright for half an hour?” he questions, “Yes, I will be fine.” Kyson kisses my cheek before running over to his place. My cheeks flush as I watch him walk away.
He is too damn sexy and sweet. Maybe having him around with help inspire me! I snap out of my thoughts, open my laptop and find the document I need, staring at the screen. I sigh, take a deep breath and try to snap into writer’s mode. I need something to do until I can move around, and hopefully, writing my next book will be the thing.

“Oh wow, you seem to be on a roll,” Kyson’s voice makes me stop typing and look up. Has it been half an hour already? I had written over five hundred words. Once I started, everything seemed to fall into place.
“Hmm, yeah…” I breathe out when I realise he is only in shorts, “Do you want me to leave you to it, sweetness?” I shake my head, my eyes trailing over his half-naked body. My tongue dips out of my mouth and runs along my lips.
Kyson laughs, snapping me out of it, and I finally make eye contact with him again, “Sorry,” I blush, “I don’t mind.” He winks at me, taking the seat next to me.
I need to pull myself together, but with him, I can’t help it. I can’t deny my attraction to him, even if he isn’t what I want or looking for right now. I swear I wonder what I would do if I weren’t hurt. A part of me wants to jump his damn bones, but it is best I don’t. I have had enough complications in my life recently. I don’t need to add him into the mix.
“So, do I get first read when you finish it?” he flashes his best smile at me, “No!” I reply quickly. I can only imagine his reaction if he reads the smut I write.
“Why not?” he pouts, “Because you will think I am shocking with some of the things I write,” I laugh, “Oh, trust me, no, I will not. I am a horny, kinky fuck; nothing can shock me, kitten.” He says proudly.
I squeeze my thighs together and whimper at his words, “You are?” I ask curiously, “Yes, very…” he trails off. Now the thoughts running around in my head are out of control. I can only imagine what he is into.
“Oh,” I choke out, “But that is a conversation for another day. You should concentrate on your writing. I will sit here, quietly, promise.” He has a smug look on his face. He knows fine well what is going on in my head.
“Okay,” I whisper, turning my attention to my screen.
I feel I am going to be distracted today with him hanging around. Maybe I should tell him to leave. No, I can’t, that would be rude. I will deal with it!
Kyson “Ahh, I am so excited to get into the lake,” Arya gushes. Her injuries were finally healed enough for her to go swimming after a week. She is still a little sore, but not enough to stop her from going out.I am happy we can get out and about together, but I had enjoyed taking care of her the last week, which is surprising since these days, I am usually a selfish bastard. Spending so much time with each other has seemed to have built tension up, not only that but a connection too. I haven’t felt a connection with someone in a long time. It was nice. I hadn’t made a move because it would have felt wrong since I was looking after her.“Me too!” I smi
Arya I moan and watch Kyson closely as his lips trail down my body. They felt good on my skin. I can feel the heat rise from my body with each one. He disappears between my legs, kissing over my bikini bottoms. I gasp, arching up from the bed. I am still in a bit of pain, but I don’t care right now.He takes the tie on my bottoms in his hands, looking up at me with lustful eyes, “Can I?” he breaths out. I nod eagerly, and he quickly removes them from my body, throwing them on the floor. He runs his callous fingers over my folds, and my head falls back, “Mmm, wet already, gorgeous?” he breaths out, moving up to circle my clit.Fuck! I
Kyson I reach for Arya the second I wake, realising I am in my bed alone. Where is she? And when did she leave? I sit up, running my fingers through my hair. I looked around, noticing her clothing and shoes were still in my bedroom, so she couldn’t have gone far.I go to search for her, seeing her out in on the decking in one of my tees. I approach, and the closer I get to her, I realise she is on the phone.“Shawn, I told you to leave me the hell alone. No, I am not telling you where I am,” she snaps. I can hear in her voice she is upset. Arya doesn’t say anything for a moment. I assume whoever Shawn is, he is talking, “No! I hate yo
Arya Kyson and I had found the perfect spot. The view is beautiful, and the atmosphere peaceful. It is what we need today. I am trying to forget about my ex and his calls. He isn’t worth it.“Would you like a glass of wine, sweetness?” he asks, “Yes, please.” I smile, resting back on my hand, closing my eyes and drawing in my breath for a moment and letting it out. When I open my eyes, Kyson is holding the plastic glass out for me, “Thank you.” I take it from him, taking a sip. He leans in, pecking my lips.We fall into a comfortable silence, taking a sip of our drinks, “Are you hungry?” I nod, ready for food after our long walk to get here, “Fruit or sandwiches?”I thought on it for a moment, deciding on fruit. Kyson took the tubs of fruit from the basket, setting them in front of us, and we took one each. I dig straight into the strawberries, groaning the second I take the first bite. They are so sweet and juicy, I couldn’t help myself.“Easy, kitten,” Kyson chuckles, “I am only eat
Kyson I wake, and it is still dark outside. I reach over to hug Arya, but she isn’t there. I glance at the digital clock next to the bed, and it reads four o’clock. Where is she at this time? I switch the bedside light on so I can see where I am going and head to search for her.I check the bathroom, but she isn’t there. I work my way through the house, finally finding her in the living area. Arya is sitting on the floor, her back to the sofa. She has a blanket wrapped around her, typing away.“Baby girl, what are you doing up at this time?” I ask. She lifts her hand, signalling one minute. I get the hint, not saying another word, sitting down next to her.“And another chapter is done,” she says excited, closing her laptop and turning her attention to me, “Sorry. I couldn’t sleep, so I decided to come do some writing which was a great idea because I just wrote two thousand words in the space of an hour and a half.” Arya has the biggest smile on her lips when she says.“Awesome! Go yo
Arya How the hell did Shawn even know to find me here? I storm over to the door, Kyson stepping out of the way.“I thought maybe we could talk, sort things out,” Shawn finally answers me. I laugh loudly, “And what the hell makes you think I want that? I am done with you! How did you even know where to find me?” I am fuming. He has no right to show up here.“Can we talk in private, please?” he asks, glaring at Kyson, “No! We have nothing to talk about.” Shawn reaches out for me, but I swat his hand away, “Don’t touch me.”“Arya, please, baby? I am sorry. I fucked up. I miss you. Please, give me another chance.” He begs.I would never give him another chance, even if I didn’t have a thing going on with Kyson, “I don’t miss you. I don’t love or want you anymore.” I hiss.I see his demeanour change. A wave of anger fills his eyes, his jaw clenching, “So what you are choosing this idiot over me? Come on, let’s not waste time here. You will forgive me. You always do.” He chuckles. It was n
Kyson Arya had been a little quiet most of the day, and I knew it was because of what happened this morning, even if she would deny it if I asked. We had a lovely lunch. Now we were having coffee before stopping to get everything we needed before heading back.“I will be back in a minute, just going to the bathroom,” I announce, “Okay, I am going to order another coffee. Do you want one?” she asks.“Yes, please.” I peck her lips from across the table before standing and walking away. I wasn’t going to the bathroom. That was a lie. I am going to nip across the street to the cute vintage jewellery store.A beautiful dreamcatcher necklace caught Arya’s eye when we passed it earlier, but she refused to go inside and get it. Why I don’t know, she liked it, and it wasn’t too expensive either. I will but it for her, try to cheer her up a little.I hate how her ex has ruined her day. He has no damn right! She deserves much better, not like I am remarkably better than him, but I wouldn’t do t
Arya Kyson and I were sitting by the lake, enjoying a glass of wine under the stary night sky, the moon reflecting onto the water. It was breathtaking. We hadn’t been for our swim yet, but I would be going in soon.“I could just stay here forever,” I sigh, “You and me both, beautiful.” He agrees. I dread going back to real life, but I still have some time before that happens.I rest my head on his shoulder, taking everything in. No matter how many times I have been here, the place still impresses me. Kyson’s arm slips around my shoulder and kisses the top of my head.I glance up at him to find him looking at me, neither of us speaking. He seems to be searching for something in my eyes with his. He opens his mouth to speak but closes it, shaking his head.“How about that swim?” he asks, pulling away and getting to his feet. I nodded, a little confused about what was going on. He strips down to his boxers, diving straight into the lake.I watch for him to come back up, “Are you coming
