Chapter Seven - What we need

Kyson and I had found the perfect spot. The view is beautiful, and the atmosphere peaceful. It is what we need today. I am trying to forget about my ex and his calls. He isn’t worth it.

“Would you like a glass of wine, sweetness?” he asks, “Yes, please.” I smile, resting back on my hand, closing my eyes and drawing in my breath for a moment and letting it out.

When I open my eyes, Kyson is holding the plastic glass out for me, “Thank you.” I take it from him, taking a sip. He leans in, pecking my lips.

We fall into a comfortable silence, taking a sip of our drinks, “Are you hungry?” I nod, ready for food after our long walk to get here, “Fruit or sandwiches?”

I thought on it for a moment, deciding on fruit. Kyson took the tubs of fruit from the basket, setting them in front of us, and we took one each. I dig straight into the strawberries, groaning the second I take the first bite. They are so sweet and juicy, I couldn’t help myself.

“Easy, kitten,” Kyson chuckles, “I am only eat
