Chapter 2

As I stepped inside the alpha king's mansion, I was struck by its grandeur. The marble floors, the high ceilings, and the ornate decorations were unlike anything I had ever seen before. The alpha king's assistant, Victoria, led me through the entrance hall and into a sitting room.

"Please have a seat, Miss Amelia," the alpha king’s assistant said, with a fake smile, gesturing towards a plush armchair.

I sat down, feeling nervous and out of place. I had never been in such a fancy place before, let alone met a werewolf alpha king who was notorious for his cruelty.

"Would you like some tea, Miss Amelia?" she asked, pouring some hot water into a teapot.

"Yes, please," I replied, feeling grateful for the small kindness, but unsure if I should trust anything from the alpha king's pack.

As I sipped my tea, the alpha king’s assistant began to show me around the mansion, but I couldn't shake off the feeling that I was being watched. Everywhere we went, there were guards and werewolves lurking around, making me feel like a prisoner in their territory.

"The alpha king likes to keep his prisoners comfortable," she said, leading me through a pair of large double doors. "This is the ballroom, where he hosts dances and parties."

I gazed around the room in awe, but I knew deep down that there was more to it than just a grand room for entertainment. The alpha king had a hidden agenda, but I had no idea what that might be.

After touring the mansion, the alpha king’s assistant led me to a sitting room where the alpha king was waiting for me. I took a deep breath and tried to compose myself before entering the room.

"Miss Amelia, please come in," the alpha king said, his eyes scanning me up and down as I entered.

He was tall and muscular, with black hair and piercing blue eyes that made me feel like he could see right through me. He wore a simple white shirt and black pants, but his regal bearing and confident stance made him seem like a predator.

"Alpha King, it is an honor to meet you," I said, curtsying, trying to hide my fear.

"The honor is mine," he replied, gesturing for me to sit down. "I hope your journey here was not too uncomfortable?"

"No, it was fine, thank you," I said, but I could sense that he didn't really care.

The alpha king's smile was cold and calculated, and I couldn't shake off the feeling that he was sizing me up for some dark purpose.

After a while, he stood up and led me to the King's Court, where I met his pack and some other werewolves. I was surprised to see so many of them gathered in one place, but the alpha king explained that they often held meetings and events here.

"Everyone, please meet Miss Amelia," the alpha king said, introducing me to his pack,

I greeted each of them, feeling a bit overwhelmed by the attention. They all seemed to be sizing me up, and I knew that I was in a dangerous place.

As the evening wore on, I grew more and more tired. The alpha king must have noticed, because he excused us from the court and led me to my room.

"Rest well, Miss Amelia," he said, his eyes glinting with a hint of malice.

"Thank you, Alpha”

As I stepped into my room, I couldn't help but feel a sense of fear. It was a lavish space, with a large four-poster bed, a fireplace, and a balcony that looked out onto the gardens. But I knew that it was all a trap set by the cruel alpha king. I wondered what he wanted from me and shuddered at the thought of what he might have planned. As I sat down on the bed, memories of my past flooded my mind - the years of mistreatment and abandonment that I had suffered.

My mother had passed away when I was young, leaving me at the mercy of my stepfather who never treated me with love or care. He always held me responsible for my mother's death, and now he had sold me to the alpha king without any remorse.

Tears cascaded down my cheeks as I contemplated everything that had been taken from me: my home, my companions, my liberty. I heard a knock on the door, and I knew that it was one of the alpha king's servants. I braced myself for the worst as the person entered  the room, carrying a tray of food. "I thought you might be hungry, Miss Amelia," she said placing the tray on a table. I knew that she was just following the alpha king's orders  After the servant left, I sat by the fireplace, staring into the flames and wondering what the alpha king wanted from me. I knew that he was a cruel person who would stop at nothing to get what he wanted.

Would I ever be free again? Or was I doomed to spend the rest of my life trapped here? As the hours passed, I grew more and more tired, but I couldn't bring myself to go to sleep. Instead, I sat by the window, watching the moon rise over the gardens. It was a full moon, and I knew that the werewolves outside were undergoing their transformation. It was a powerful and terrifying sight, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of awe and fear. I realized that I was still in the alpha king's mansion.  I got up and went to the balcony, looking out at the gardens. They were beautiful, with rows of flowers and neatly trimmed hedges. But as I looked closer, I realized that there were guards patrolling the grounds, keeping watch over the mansion. It was a stark reminder that I was not free, and that I had no control over my life. I couldn't help but feel a sense of despair wash over me. What had my life come to? How had I ended up in this situation? I had always dreamed of escaping my old life, of finding a place where I could be happy and free. But instead, I had ended up in a worse situation, trapped in a world I didn't understand, at the mercy of a cruel alpha king who wanted to use me as a pawn in his sinister plans

I stumbled back into the room and collapsed onto the bed, my mind still reeling. As I shut my eyes, I was transported to a nightmare. In it, I was giving birth to a child, a child who looked exactly like the alpha king. The nightmare was so vivid, so tangible, that I could feel the agony of labor and the overwhelming sense of adoration that I felt for my offspring. But as the nightmare persisted, I realized that something was amiss. The alpha king was looming over me, his eyes frigid and calculating. He was clutching the baby, and as he gazed down at it, I could sense a yearning in him, a yearning for supremacy and dominance. It was as if the child was not his own flesh and blood, but a mere instrument to be utilized as a tool in his sadistic machinations.

I jolted awake, my scream piercing through the silence of the night. Gasping for breath, I muttered, "No! It can't be true!" My heart was pounding, and my body was covered in sweat. It took me a moment to realize that it was just a nightmare. But the fear lingered, and I knew I wouldn't be able to go back to sleep. What did the nightmare signify? Was it a forewarning, a foreshadowing of events to come? Or was it simply a manifestation of my trepidations and worries?
