Prologue. Sounds of footsteps and humming could be heard in the forest. ANDREA. Living a life as an omega in the pack has never been easy. Sometimes I do wonder why we were born,’ myself especially’ and the most ironic part is that I didn’t meet my mom. I didn’t meet her to show some love to me or comfort me when I fell; sometimes I blame the moon goddess for my misfortune, but everyone says it was my fault my mom died, so I got to suffer for it. I’m Andrea Carlson, a wolf-less omega and an orphan. I don’t know how and why I became an orphan because I didn’t see or know my parents, the pack also knows nothing about them. It was like I came down from heaven with no parents, sometimes the pack felt familiar and other times it felt like something was holding back my memory, but I’m not certain. ANDREA. When we got to the hall, everyone was busy doing different things. Some were arranging the chairs and the podium, and others were decorating the hall transforming it from its usual dull looks. “Andrea, Sarah what are the both of you ogling at.” Christine, the head maid asked with a glare. “Good morning ma’am Christine.” Sarah and I greeted. “There is nothing good about the morning, Andrea what have you been doing since morning?.” she asked. “Am sorry ma’am, I was down with a cold, so I couldn’t come out on time.”“Always falling sick, I just pray to the moon goddess for you to have your wolf this night,” she said and I smiled. Although she acts angry and strict, she is still nice. “Thanks, ma’am.”“Sarah, you and Andrea will decorate the entrance with the Alpha’s favorite flower, violet roses, is that clear?”“Yes, ma’am,” we replied and walked to the entrance, meeting the basket of roses there, so we quickly got to work.
ALPHA DANTE’S MATE Chapter Three.
DANTE. I glared at the three good-for-nothing wolves kneeling before me. I looked at all the people gathered in the hall to witness their punishment for their betrayal of the pack.“What did you say?” I asked with my voice loud and clear, and that brought shivers to their spine. “Alpha, we are sorry. Please have mercy on us.” The first one pleaded and I scoffed. Mercy. That word isn’t in my vocabulary or dictionary, I don’t and will not show mercy. Showing mercy only means that you are weak and not in control, you do everything with strategy and strength, not mercy. “Mercy.” I chuckled and stared at them, one after the other. These wolves committed treason against the pack, putting every wolf in danger by giving secrets out to the other rival packs, not once, not twice, but countless times. I stepped back, watching them closely to see if they were gonna change and come clean to me, but they proved me wrong by opening the borders for those rogues. I stared at them the last time, th

ANDREA Everyone was changing but I'm still the only one standing without changing, nothing. I guess the moon Goddess has forsaken me yet again, I look at Sarah in her wolf form and I can feel the tears coming out from my eyes. I stood rooted in one spot not knowing what to do, why am I so unlucky that I couldn’t even get my wolf, one I could communicate with, one that could reassure me that everything would be okay? DANTE. I found myself staring at my pack getting burned down by the witches, wolves getting slated like animals. “Dante, take your sister and get out of here.” Someone yelled, and I turned to see it was my dad. Dad.“Dante go.” My mum yelled at me and I snapped out of my trance. I looked around and saw everything going down, nothing was saved. “Dante, go now.” Dad yelled again, fighting against four wolves at the same time. No, I can’t leave them here, I need to do something. “I can’t leave you dad, tell me what to do.” I ran to him, and he growled using his Alpha voice. “Take your little sister and get out of this pack, right now.” He ordered and I nodded. I went behind the tree Alesia was hiding and brought her out. “Where are we going Dante?, what’s happening?” She hugged me, crying silently on my shoulder. “Shhh, everything will be fine.” I reassured, and even I wasn’t sure of what I was saying.” I turned to look at my parents the last time, but what I saw shocked me. “No

ANDREA. I stirred awake when I heard some muffled noise in the forest, the sound of footsteps running and a growl. I opened my eyes slowly to see what had invaded my space and was shocked when I saw a wolf, a midnight black wolf with red blazing eyes. I stood up with speed and made to run, but someone held me back, I turned to see a naked man with a frown and a look of irritation on his face. “Please don’t kill me.” I begged and tried to free myself from him, but his hold on my gown tightened. “Please.” I muttered with tears already coming out of my eyes. I can’t die like this, not when I haven’t met my mate yet. Please help me mum, dad, wherever you are, please help me. “What are you doing here, rogue?” The man asked with a growl, and I shrink into my shell more. Chapter seven. DANTE. I ran in speed through the forest, growling and saying cusses to the moon Goddess. How could she play a game with my soul like this, I didn’t ask for another ‘mate’. I don’t want one, not now, not ever. I growled and paused, I changed into my human form, hitting the nearest tree. I yelled as I continued hitting it until a huge dent appeared on it. I sighed, I sat on a huge rock thinking about this new development of my second ‘mate’. I don’t want one, I told you Selene I didn’t want another one, another one that would betray me, my trust and my pack. I will just reject her and kill her, leaving her in my pack isn’t safe. Not only that, but I need to eliminate her to keep me sane and my pack safe. “I know you’ll be here.” I didn’t turn to see whoever it was because I already knew it was Fred. “I told you to stay in the pack, Fred.” I snarled.
