The bell signalled the end of school, student were dragging their chairs across the tiled floor, the screeching making Niki cringe while they ran out the class room door. Matt was running through the forest in his wolf form, Zane taking control. Their anger was intensified as Matt's rage mixed with Zanes. He pushing them to run faster than ever, trying to control their boiling anger. He felt twigs and stones sticking to the underside of his paws, poking and stabbing at his feet every time his paws touched the ground. Sand was flying out behind them as they ran with inhuman speed, dodging trees and leaping over bushes. The wind was cold as it ripped through his long black fur, cooling his scorching skin. Once Matt got back to the house, he shifted back and went to his bedroom to put on Jean's and a shirt. He waited for his father outside the front of the house, leaning on the large oak door. It had been a week since Chloe and Niki had met on the bleachers wanting to be her friend. At the start, Chloe didn't really want anything to do with her, not wanting to give Niki the power to hurt her; and so she kept pushing her away. It didn't work though, Niki was very persistent on getting to know Chloe, as she would follow her every where and brush off the rude remarks Chloe would throw her way.Though, that all changed when they started talking about chemisty and for the first time they had a proper conversation. “You're not supposed to be in here,” Chloe spat, glaring at Liam while she tried covering her body the best she could.“No, we're not,” he said with a devious smile on his face as he looked her up and down, his eyes momentarily focusing on the bruising that covers one half of her body.“We?” Chloe questioned, a frown covering her features. 'Matt, we need to go find Chloe, it's an emergency,' Niki shouted in Matts head, urgency clear in her voice.'I'm coming, where are you?' He asked in a harsh tone.'Field,' she said in anxiously and Matt started running, each step held purpose as he made his way in the direction of the field.The closer he got, the more students there were, blocking his way. He didn't let that stop him, but it did make his anger boil closer to the edge as bodies bumped and pushed at him. He made his way out the large, green double doors to the field. Half the school was outside which was unusual as they all wispered to one another, some laughing amongst themselves while others frowned. All Matt heard were the blood wrenching screams leaving Chloes mouth as she fell back in fear as he stood on all fours before her, Niki unable to catch her. Her face no longer bore the despair it had just moments ago, it now held total fear, fear of him. A sob left her mouth as she scurried backward on her behind, her eyes wide and her mouth agape, before getting to her feet on shaky legs.“Chloe look at me, look at me,” Niki said in a slow, calm voice turning to Chloe with her arms raised, she took hesitant steps towards Chloe, watching her carefully until she stood in front of her, going to hold Chloe by the shoulders and giving them a reassuring squeeze, forcing her to look at Niki.Chloes gaze flickered to Niki before darting back over her shoulder to Matt, her body was rigid and trembled in fear; her eyes clouded with emotions and her brows brought up high. Chloes back was against the wall of rough rocks, scraping her skin as she looked on in fear at the black wolf standing before her. Niki stood off to the side, though she was closer to her than the wolf that was making Chloe tremble in fear.Her chest rose and fell with immense speed as her lungs threatened to close in panic, her heart beating uncontrollably and her head was spinning. she was fighting for strength and consciousness but it felt like a loosing battle.She was almost certain she saw Matt turn into this monster in front of her but her mind refused to believe it; even if she saw it with her own eyes. She knew if she contemplated the idea she would go mad, her mind was clinging to the only logical explanation she could muster, but there wasn't one.
