Daffodil skipped along behind her friends, her heart soaring.
Daryl and Beryl were in good spirits as well, laughing away and occasionally turning around to check and make sure Daffodil’s wings weren’t poking out.
Daffodil smiled to herself, stomach aflutter with the excitement of a new day and a new experience.
She couldn’t believe the girls had actually landed her a job!
The thought of meeting new humans and doing things on her own thrilled her.

Daffodil walked into a massive library.
